Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

Anyone know if I can pay my partial club level FP purchase with two American Express gift cards? I’ve always had trouble purchasing park tickets with these but hoping I can use them towards this.

not sure.. but I am sure CM at DSS would let you know.

I'm looking for some help/advice for one day we have a Disney. I'm getting close to our CL FP purchase day and I'm struggling to line up FP amongst all our other reservations on our DD birthday. I attached what I've come up with so far and would love some ideas if anyone has any!
8:05a Chef Mickey's
10a Splash Mountain
11a BTMRR
12n Tony's Town Square ( Booked as Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package)
2p Parade
3p Space Mountain
4p 7DMT
5p Enchanted Tales with Belle
6p BOG
7:30p Fireworks Dessert Party

My issue is trying to find a spot for the additional 6th FP (Haunted Mansion)
- I am worried that 9-10am would be to early to book one and could miss it if Chef Mickey's takes awhile..
-based on what I read, we check in 15-30 minutes before the parade. I wasn't sure how many people are allowed to book the Parade Dining Package and I was worried if we came to late we would miss out on a good spot. So I didn't think we could add a FP at 1p... Unless I'm wrong
-I thought maybe I could change the FP in the morning to go 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 but if we did one at 11:30, how big of a risk would we run to being late for our lunch reservation?
-I wasn't sure how long it takes for the parade to get to the Main street flagpole area, so I wasn't sure we could book one from 2-3pm and possibly go immediately following the parade.

Highly recommend you using TP in situations like this.
I came across so many situations like yours while planning for my recent trip, like do I have time to do this and that.
When I input all to TP planner, it estimates if I would have enough time to do all of that..
When I followed the plan during my trip, the plan actually came really close to real time! I was impressed!

Having said that, I would probably do the followings:
1. move up first FP to 9:30am and use regular FP for HM. Then as soon as you tap in at BTMRR, move up HM FP on your phone as early as possible so you can ride HM before lunch. HM is so close to BTMRR.

2. Or schedule HM FP at 12:45pm. The walk from Tony to HM is about 10 minutes at leisure pace.

Thanks for those ideas!! I just set up an account with TP a week ago and didn’t even know they had that kind of option.

If we could safely have a HM FP at 12:45-ish that’s what I would try and do.

I’d change to the 9:30, 10:30, etc plan. As for missing your Tony res don’t ADRs (and FPs) have a 15 min grace period?

Today was our day to book! Thanks everyone for helping me out with planning.

I have been working on my itinerary for quite some time. Even though we have hoppers, we decided to focus on one park per day and hop to Epcot for dinners since it's F&W and we are staying at Dolphin.

I had started conversations with DSS a while ago because it was very unclear which type of room category counted as CL eligible at Dolphin. When I first called, DSS wasn't entirely sure what to tell me, but my CM didn't give up, called me back (didn't ask him to), with all the correct info. We were a "match" ever since, ha ha.

When I heard that there were no more reserved areas, I reached out to my CM and he confirmed it. He offered me the 4th extra FP to be either used for a FP for night shows, or any other ride. So, with 4 FPs to purchase at each park, we decided to purchase 4 days (1 purchase day for each park). I have a feeling we will cancel our AK day because we will not be all riding FoP.

I had my itinerary ready to go, and during our call we just went day by day, one by one and I stayed on hold while he booked the FPs. Even when the system wasn't working, I just stayed on hold until it was confirmed. The call took a little over an hour. We booked everything I had planned, but had to change a couple of things (like I didn't realized Land closed at 7). Anyway, it was smooth.

Of course as soon as we hung up, I realized I wanted to tweak some things - and I did go with the CL FPs first. I liked the idea of modifying/pushing up the regular FPs or changing them all together on a whim, without having to call DSS.

It is SO exciting to see everything booked.

I will say, curiosity got the best of me and I modified two regular FPs to duplicate purchased CL FPs. I'm VERY nervous now b/c I feel like I went behind my CMs back!

I'm sure this is answered somewhere in this thread, but I haven't found it yet. Do I call signature service to buy the additional fast passes? Or should this show up on my MDE club level stay? Thank you!

Hello! You can book CL FPs through DSS 90 days from your checkout day. Most people seem to call, but you can also email your choices to DSS. After you book, your FPs will be viewable in MDE.

We leave the end of this week and have 3 days of club level FP+, can't Wait!

Can anyone tell me for sure where to check in / where the viewing areas are for -HEA, Fantasmic and Illuminations?
I know I saw at least Illuminations and HEA in this thread but pages of searching produced nothing so far.

TIA

Yes, you need to be proactive to book this. Don’t depend on anything from Disney even mentioning it. For whatever reason they aren’t really advertising or promoting the program (probably because it’s a trial), so you kind of need to take planning into your own hands with DSS to book.

Thank you for telling me this! So if we check in on November 14 but don't check out until November 23 I need to call the DSS phone number 90 days before November 23 ? Then do I just give my reservation number and say I'm wanting to purchase the exyra fast passes? Sorry for all the questions! Thank you

That is correct. It’s 90 days from your checkout date and you just call and let them know you want to purchase the FP. When I spoke to DSS regarding questions for our upcoming trip, they said I could even email them a list of what I was looking at ahead of time.

For HEA it is in the plaza garden area on the side of Casey's. There is a grassy area fenced off, and the most lateral part of that area is roped off with a CM standing at the gate with a list of names. You tell them who you are, they check the list and let you in. It's a fairly small area, but by most reports not many people are utilizing it for some reason so there is always plenty of room. The night we were there I think there were 3-4 families, there was room for the early ones to sprawl out while they waited. We were rushing and late, and had no problem getting through the crowd or getting in at 10 min before the show.

For Fantasmic it was a little more difficult. You enter through the FP/Dining package entrance. There are quite a few CMs along the long entryway, and it wasn't until maybe the 3rd one we hit someone who knew what we were talking about - the previous ones just let us go through and told us to ask up ahead. You check in with a CM in the very back middle of the theater, the same CM who lets dining package people in. Our night she had a blue baton (?light saber type thing), we were told to watch for the person with the blue light. The seating for the program is the last 3 or 4 rows in the middle of the theater, it's separate from the dining package area but you enter down into the seating area through the same row. She checked our names on a piece of paper in our pocket and let us through the rope that was blocking those particular rows off. It wasn't even half full, and they did not open the rest of the seating for others, it stayed sparse. The view was far away, but central.

We didn't do Illuminations, so I can't help you there.

Somewhere back on the thread there are pictures with circled areas, at least for the HEA viewing location.

Great! Thank you for all the information :)

BTW, depending on your plans, how complicated they are, how many days you’re booking, etc, the call can take a bit of time. Grab a cup of coffee and carve off some quiet time. :-)

Good luck!

Aren't they getting rid of the HEA viewing option for CL FP+ sometime in September?
