Thanks for the prayers! Kara was AMAZING yesterday!!

Never a dull moment around here... That is for sure!!

Wow, you guys really do never have a dull moment! What a trooper. Your kids are pretty amazing! :goodvibes

The kids have been looking at the website to see what is at the parks. Trev is excited for Star Wars Weekend and meeting the characters. He has his autograph book ready and said "no princesses better sign it!!" Of course the girls want Star Wars characters AND princesses to sign it :) I've never done the signatures so I am pretty excited for that!

The kids are excited to go to Sea World. They have been watching a lot of You Tube videos of the Shamu show and are pretty excited to watch it live!

The girls want to visit EVERY princess... Luckily they only know a few of them so if we make sure to find those ones I think we will be okay :) They are excited to do pin trading to try and find an Arial pin.... Now to get on Ebay and buy some pins so we have more than one to trade :)

I bought some I tunes cards for the kids for Easter so they can purchase games while on the plane. The 6 hour plane ride kinda has us nervous!! We have told the kids how long it is but they don't really comprehend how long that REALLY is sitting for that long being quite! It shall be interesting!!

Jackie

It sounds like everyone is getting even more excited! :hyper::hyper: I hope you do a TR, I really want to read about your trip because I love your family's enthusiasm. I think you guys will have a great time! :thumbsup2 Also, I think that is very clever about the itunes gift cards. I think some new games will do the trick...hopefully for 6 hours. :rotfl: Do you think they might sleep?

The next one comes from lovethattink and her son JJ. Thank you for blessing my kiddos! They LOVE everything and JJ did a wonderful job on the soaps! There were cute Star Wars soaps for the girls and chapstick. Yoda basket, Star Wars Legos, puzzle, hats and cards for Trev.

Woah, that is a lot of soap! JJ did a really good job with it! :goodvibes

We got a call from our wish grantor yesterday to confirm the date for Trev's reveal party. A little over 2 months and we will be on Trev's wish trip! We are getting SO excited!! I am going to make a countdown chain for Trev for his reveal party. Now comes the hard part on who to invite. I know some family and friends are not very supportive about Trev and his wish trip but I am not sure if I should exclude them and make it worse or include them and have them be the ones to say no. I don't want any negativity at the party as it is all about Trev.

Sorry to hear some people are not supportive.:hug: That's pretty unbelievable, yet believable. Sorry that made no sense. :lmao: My point is, I can't understand how people are not supportive, BUT it does not surprise me. Sounds like you are in a catch 22 situation. I hope Trevor has a fabulous reveal party, no matter who comes! pixiedust:

Wanted to say thank you for the sweet thank you letter! It really brightened my day, the sweet drawing is now hanging on my fridge and makes me smile every time I see it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!! The sun was out and it was beautiful! Around 73 degrees this weekend! A rare thing for around here as it us usually raining and MUCH colder this time of year!

The kids have been having flash light Easter egg hunts with the neighbors the last couple days. I think we will do some kind of scavenger hunt with flash lights for Halloween. That way the kids won't have to stay up so late to wait for it to get dark!

I found a swimsuit for Allie. Just looking for one for Kara. She really wants Rapunzel and that is finding rather difficult to find! Trev's still fit from last year so we will just stick with those for now.

I can't believe tomorrow it will be 2 months before we leave!! I am SO excited! Today we are going to attempt to make a countdown chain for Trev's reveal party next month. He too, is getting super excited! He has LOVED wearing all his new clothes to school (this week it has been warm enough to not have to layer!) and telling all his friends about his wish trip and his Mickey Mail!!

Thank you SO much for everyone who has blessed our family! I can't begin to thank you enough or let you know how much it has meant to us!! THANK YOU!!

The Easter bunny brought the kids new Disney Jammies and i tunes cards and they were pretty excited!! The kids have been talking about what games/video they want to purchase for the trip. I am hoping they sleep on the way to Florida since we are leaving at 10pm. Maybe they will sleep some on the way home too? Just in case I wanted to have extra goodies for them to keep them occupied. They have really been good about putting some of the Mickey Mail gifts in the Disney box for the plane ride. Not that they don't get everything out and look at it :)

Today I made a "sponge" cake for my Dad to take to work... I hope they all like it... I don't think my 3 bosses would approve so much :) I tried to send one with Scott but he didn't think it was very funny... I hope you all have a great April Fools Day :)

If anyone is going to Hollywood Studios in the next few weeks could you please check out the price of build a droids and build your own light sabers? I have a feeling that will be a MUST for all 3 kiddos! Trying to figure out how much we will need for souvenirs. I just seen some of the SWW souvenirs they are releasing. Just hoping they have those available for when we are there! That is a bad thing about going the last weekend...

We are packing glow sticks and spinners and other little fun souvenir items and bringing them with us that way we can give to them at the park so we don't have to buy them there. Any other suggestions for things I can buy here and bring with me so I don't have to buy them there?

Thanks!

My husband built a lightsaber in downtown Disney at the Once upon a Toy place (which was also awesome to get my 3 year olds a TON of Mr. Potato Head pieces, including Star Wars and lots of Disney Park type things.) and I want to say it was about $40. He did a double one, which is more. The Single is cheaper, maybe $30? I think the bummer of the double is that one side lights up and the other doesn't which is sort of lame to me, but who am I to argue with a 30-something man living out a childhood fantasy? :)

We definitely did get our bang for the buck with the potato head pieces though, the lady who helped us stuffed SO MUCH into the box I could not even believe it. It was like a Mary Poppins bag. She just kept telling us to bring more pieces and even when I thought we were beyond done she managed to fit in a whole storm trooper. Your kids are a little older than mine, but my boys LOVE Mr. Potato head so it was worth the $20 to get a hundred new pieces for them. My kids' DHS shirts were Mr. Potato head, they were a huge hit. (I know that wasn't your question, but I think it was one of the cooler things we did there.)
(and because I think they're cute, here are my guys in their potato head shirts.)

Thanks for the info!! Your boys are adorable by the way :) Their shirts are cute too! My kiddos do not really play with Mr. Potato head anymore but that would be a great deal!!

I'm sure my husband will be buying a light saber too :) He was thrilled when he found out what Trev's wish was!!

Do you have any handheld fans or misters? I feel like they tend to sell a lot of those in the parks. Other than light-up toys, the other big thing kids were getting sucked into buying while we were there was bubble maker "guns". That's all I can think of. :)

After this entire journey you've been through this year and all the planning, I still keep going back to your genius from Trevor's Star Wars birthday party! I may be stealing your brilliance this summer...

I assume my Trevor will want a Star Wars party after SWW in under TWO MONTHS!!! Under two months! I can't believe the trips are so close!

How is the countdown chain coming??? Ours is hung in the hallway with fishing line and Command strips.

I'm with @addicted. The misting fans are great for a little spritz when it gets hot.

I've seen them at KMart for $7.99 so far. Many of the other places I've seen have been over $10. I remember buying one in WDW in 1998 and it was almost $20! :faint:

Oh and hey, straight from TP:

$21.95 for a single blade and $25.95 for a double blade last summer

for the Build-A-Lightsaber. But that sounds like it's the base price. Someone on TP said their kid racked up a $50 bill for theirs! :faint:

Thanks for the ideas!! I do not have any handheld fans or bubble makers. I will be investing in those soon! The kids have always wanted those bubble maker guns anyway :)

Go ahead and steal away :) Trev and his friends still talk about his party! This year he is making it easy as he wants to go to the beach.

I can't believe it is so close either!! It seems like we have been planning for a year... Oh yeah, we have been :)

I always forget about K-mart... I will be checking that out next week. This week I am crazy and have 5 extra kids I am watching!

Oh, Jackie. I was just in Tatooine Traders on Saturday and never thought to look at the prices of the Build-a-droid or the sabers.

We never made it to Universal. We got there and realized dh grabbed ds(19)'s pass instead of mine. Mine is the only one that has parking included. We also discovered that DH and both DS's passes are blocked out right now until April 7th. So we turned around, ate at TGI Fridays instead of Bubba Gumps and went to DHS.

The flashlight egg hunt sounds so fun, and a Hallowwen scavenger hunt is a great idea.

Glad the kids are so excited about making plans for the trip.

Love the wish trip shirts :lovestruc, and the SW pixie dust is great. :)

AK is a full day park for us as well.

Yay for confirmation on the reveal party. Sorry there are family/friend issues that you need to deal with.

Hope you're able to find a Rapunzel swimsuit.

How did they like the "sponge" cake? :rotfl:

Hope you're surviving the 5 extra kids this week. :)

Bummer you had the wrong pass! Glad you still got to go to DHS.

I haven't found a Rapunzel swimsuit yet. But I am still looking. I did find one that had a couple other princesses on it but the only one they had was a size smaller than what I needed. Of course that one is being discontinued... I still have time to find one. I did buy an extra Ariel one in hopes she will change her mind in case I do not find Rapunzel :)

The "sponge" cake was a hit!! Everyone was fooled and they LOVED it!! My Dad and I are already coming up with things for next year :) My husband isn't into the whole April Fools things so luckily my Dad is being a great sport and letting me do things for his office...

I did survive the extra kids!! It was a tough few days as they were all under the age of 4... I have NO idea what I was thinking!! I didn't get to keep the money very long though as we spent it as a family in less than 24 hours! I did not know how expensive bowling was for a family of 5!! Then dinner was outrageous! We went to a Chinese restaurant and the serving sizes were crazy! We could have ordered 2 plates for all of us and still had leftovers for a week! We now have full lunches and dinners for the next couple days!! Hopefully the kids do not get tired of Chinese food :)

I was able to find some more spinners for the kids and some Disney ring pops to take with us to the parks. I also got a couple of HUGE glow stick necklaces to go along with all the other glow sticks I have acquired :)

I can't wait to see my BIL and SIL in a few weeks! They are coming out for Trev's reveal party and will be staying with us. The kids have NO idea they are coming! It will be SO much fun!!

Jackie

We had a great time. But we have $25 on our Landry's reward card for Bubba Gumps for our bday that expires. Hopefully we will get there before then.

That's great that your inlaws are coming for the reveal!

Splitsville at Disney is very expensive too. $20 per person for an hour and a half on the same lane and includes shoes.

I found bubble guns today and a little light up light saber spinner for Trev!! Now to find misting fans... Just under 2 months!! The kids are getting excited as they know school is winding down and we will be going before Trev's birthday this summer.

Trev has been helping come up with a guest list for his reveal party... I think we need to tone it down a bit... Right now it is at 50 people! I know some of my family will not show but I feel I need to invite them anyway so it will be more likely 30-35 people which will be more manageable. Trev is inviting 5 of his friends too. Trev already knows what he wants at his party, cheese pizza, watermelon and pineapple and ice cream sandwiches... I'm glad the kid is easy to please :)

How fun. I hope the reveal goes great. Jj would love that menu.

Glad you had a nice time bowling & going out to eat. That restaurant sounds great. Yay for finding goodies to take on the trip. So nice that your BIL & SIL are coming to visit. Trev's party is going to be fantastic party: It's nice when they're easy to please. :)

Hello! Subscribing! We will be there the same time as you and I found your thread on the SWW thread. Even though I'm sure the MAW will do a great job, please PM me if you need any assistance. We are planning to be a SWW the same day as you however from what I'm reading you need to be present to get anything (i.e. sign up for Jedi Academy - your son will need to be present, getting fastpasses for characters, etc). However, that is the for the everyday person maybe MAW has a way of getting this done with more ease.

Good luck and I'm excited to read your thread!

Wow! All caught up! Your children are so cute, the DISers are so amazing with the gifts and encouraging words, and you have been so busy!

Getting WDW done in three days (especially with SWW) is going to be tough. You will need a stroller because those little legs will get exhausted with all of the walking. You want to save up their energy for the important things.

Not sure what days you will be at WDW but here are the crowd levels for the week you are there:

June 2 - 5 overall
June 3 - 6
June 4 - 6
June 5 - 6
June 6 - 6
June 7 - 7; DHS is 7.3
June 8 - 7

June 7th for DHS

  • Crowd Level: 7.3 out of 10
  • This is a Neutral Park
  • Park Hours: 8:00am - 10:00pm
  • Fantasmic! at 9:00pm
  • Fantasmic! at 10:30pm
