So I live in SE part of Virginia. Next weekend some other states and us may get a beat down of snow and ice .
I’ll be staying at my work because I work 2nd shift and it’s nice to have a staycation lol.
Be safe everyone in its path especially those who will get ice because that is a different beast .

Dreading this! We are supposed to drive north thru NJ on Monday morning for a cruise. It's supposed to snow from Saturday evening thru Sunday night! Thank goodness it is supposed to be only snow and not snow mixed with rain, but it's predicted to be a lot.🥶

I don't think we're expecting snow but it's going to be bitterly cold -- high temps below zero. :cold:

Looks like just possible flurries for New England. Which is good, because it just snowed all weekend and I don't want to shovel more for a while.

ME! I'm ready - if we get a decent amount I'll be happy. We are on the ESMD but I'm also monitoring our office in NC, as well as our jobsites there. Looks more like ice & snow which is not great down in VA & NC and dry snow up here in DE/MD. Welp, we will see, not much to be done about it, either it will or it won't...and it's only Tuesday so I wonder how it will shift/change in the coming days.

I've got three offices to coordinate in terms of snow removal, shoveling and salting - not to mention the in-office drama of "oh it's going to snow". Yes, we know. Check your Teams on Sunday night or Monday morning and I'll let you know if the office is going to open late or be closed if the weather is to bad.....sorry. For me, it's already starting. Sometimes a office can be like a elementary school when it's going to snow. :headache::hyper2:

Same… But NOT in a good way. That snow could wreck havoc on a Disneyland 70th window I’m trying to get through by mid-March… push comes to shove I either attach it along with a Guam window or even further to 4th of July week…

I wish Elsa didn’t visit the Norfolk area right now…

We've had snow for months now. You're just getting it now? lol It's cold here and expected to get even colder - 30 C by the weekend.

I'm hoping we get a massive amount, it's been decades since we had had as much as is forecast for here. But with the potential for ice mixed in, and then temps not much above freezing for the whole week, there could also be widespread power outages, which wouldn't be good. We'd be fine - we can use our gas fireplace for heat, and we would still have basic electric for warming food up, making coffee, lights, etc due to our solar panels. But lots of others would have it worse. If it does as much as they're saying now, I'm expecting everything around us to be shut down for a week minimum. Looking forward to being wrapped in blankets sipping wine by the fire!

I hope no one gets heavy ice. I would much rather drive on snow than ice and snow doesn’t cause as many power outages.

We're likely a little too far south to get any ice/snow from this storm. However, the freezing rain/ice forecast is close enough to us to be a little worrisome. It does look like my parents, about 2 hours north of me, could be dealing with an ice storm.

I'm watching the weather closely. We're expecting a wintry mix here in the Houston area, but it looks like Dallas is going to get hit with ice. I've already told my older one who is up in Norman, OK (looks like they're expecting snow) to not go south. Meanwhile, I just purchased a pair of fleece leggings so hopefully I can still go out walking when things get above freezing midday. I'll have to wrap our pipes on Thursday...before the precip rolls in and while it's still nearly 70 degrees out there.

You should drive up Saturday morning and get a hotel for 2 nights.
