It is nice to see that both this thread and ours for the Wonder have finally picked up steam over the past couple weeks....especially since we know people on both cruises....if we happen to pass near Castaway Cay, we will have to start texting ship to ship...

Hello ALL,

Still no number for room as if noon today.

I just checked the DC web site and it looks as if our cruise is offically sold out!! I could not even get a room for 2 people to come up!!

No room for us either.....That is amazing that it is so full. I had a feeling it would get that way quick. It sure makes me more grateful to be on it during such a wonderful week!

Our Fish Extender just arrived.....It is so cuteHad it made in red, yellow, black and white....Can't wait....

We got our room number also!! We did get an upgrade!! to a Cat 10 room 2071 midship ( I checked the reviews and it looks like a nice room! ) So happy to have a room number now.

We got our room numbers too One got an upgrade and one we got exactly what we expected. They are of course on different decks but actually pretty close together and we've had the same scenario before.

We are 7586 and 6109

Probably we will probably hang FE on both doors so whichever one is more convenient

Yeah for room assignments. So much closer to cruise date!

Booked insides and got one inside and one cat 5 balcony

We also got upgraded on the Nov 14th Wonder prior to this from inside to a cat 6 balcony (as did the friend I'm sailing with).

We booked the Nov 27th Magic after this and assigned ocean view rooms already (just what we paid for and also on different decks lol).

I do not know the brand? I will check and get back with you on that. They are a real pair, not a kid kind. They cost about $70.00 as I recall but they work really well, all over the ship. We have used them evertime we have went on a cruise.

WOW going from an inside room of Cat 12, Cat 11, or CAt 10 to a CAT 5!!! That is like hitting the lottery!! I have never heard of that. I have heard of going from a Cat 8 or 9 to a Cat 6 or Cat 5 but never an inside room straight to a Cat 6 or 5!!!! You are super lucky!! for sure!

I am sooo happy to have our room assignment and on a higher deck is exactly what we wanted! I am 100% okay with no upgrade....just SOOOO happy to be onboard

We have been lucky this year.

On our east bound trans atlantic cruise and med cruise there were actually quite a few people going from 11 to 6 or 9 to 4. A lot of people happy with great upgrades. There were also a bunch who were unhappy and complaining who didn't get upgraded. We had already booked balconies outright so no upgrades for us.

On the Baltic we booked two inside GTY and got connecting 5s. For the westbound transatlantic we booked one balc. GTY and one inside GTY and got 2 balconies.

This has been the year for incredible upgrades for sure!

Me too!!! Its just me and my 2 youngest, so we are so happy to just be onboard!

I agree just being on the ship at this time of the year is special!

We just booked the 27th. Two rooms both at FL rate and got assignments the next day. However, of course one is on deck 1 and one is on deck 2. I'm hoping that there will be enough room on that cruise to be able to do something about it at port that day to try and switch things up and be on the same deck.

We may have more friends joining us on that one (maybe Erin too).

I have used walkie talkies on Cast-away-Cay before but I have not had good luck on the ship. We tested them a few years ago... maybe we should test them again. We have motorola radios. What kind of radio do you have that work?
