Travel to WWOHP

In March, I'm traveling to Disney for my 40th birthday (without children); however, I absolutely must see Harry Potter at Universal!!!

What is the best way to get there from a Disney Resort?
Taxi? Are there any types of shuttles? Is it worth renting a car if we fly down?

The easiest and probably least expensive option overall would be to just rent a car. That way you can go on your own schedule to Universal, but also drive around within WDW itself.

I'm going to have my DS and his DGF use Mears Shuttle for their trip from Pop Century to IOA. I think that's the cheapest way to go.
