Does anyone know how long it takes to get to and from the RPR to the studios & IOA by the water taxi? Would it be quicker to walk?
Cheers guys

The actual ride takes maybe 5 - 10 minutes. I've never timed it but it doesn't seem like it was more than 5 or 10 minutes. But, the boat is not always at the dock so there can be a wait for it to get there and sometimes they wait a little while before they leave the dock in case others are coming to ride. Depending on your walking speed, it probably takes 20 or so minutes, at least, to walk all the way to the Studios. Actually, the boat docks at City Walk so you still have a short walk across the bridge to actually get to the Studios. It is probably quicker to walk to IOA because the path comes out at Margaritaville which is closer to IOA than the boat dock.

The walk from the RPR to Margaritaville is 7 minutes. Then it's a short walk over a bridge to IOA. Scroll down this page to see pictures of what it looks like.

The best idea is to walk over in the morning, then take the boat back in the afternoon when your feet are tired.

I find it quicker to walk. The water taxi leaves you off at City Walk and you have to walk the rest of the way anyway.
I get to Margaritaville (that's where the path brings you out on City Walk) in about five minutes or so. It takes me about eight minutes to get to IOA from the RPR and a little longer to US.

There's also a bus that makes the loop between US and the hotels. At RPR it drops you at the end of Tower 3 (nearest pool). When you leave US, turn left instead of heading for the globe. (There's also a row of restrooms on the way to the drive too!) Anyway, you'll see a circular drive w/sign where the bus pulls up. And by the way? The bus is air conditioned. We found this extremly welcoming after a long day in the park.

The bus is a good option and would be the fastest to the Studios if it is sitting at the stop. We were once in RPR, room 1631, the parks closed in a half hour and we wanted one more ride on MIB. We chose the stairs that exit on the pathway and sprinted to the park. Well, the kids sprinted as I weezed and clutched my chest most of the way (painful). It's a long way from the turnstiles to MIB and we took Central Park to avoid the departing crowd then the waterfront pathway. I think we got 3 rides in before they closed.

There's also rickshaws that run between the hotels and parks and they're free...BUT, they do expect a tip!
