travel insurance for condo????

Does anyone gets this. We are staying in a condo the last week of August and total is around $800, possibly a bit more if we decide to tack on an extra night. We wont be flying but driving from NJ so the only thing worried about is losing the whole money for the accommodations as it will be forfeited within 15 days of arrival. I do have a 5 year old with diabetes. Her last hospitalization was 2 years ago due to a stomach bug but nothing has happened lately but still its always in the back of my mind. Also isnt end of August the hurricane season. Insurance i think is around $80-100, does anyone recommend doing this?? I have about one week left to decide whether to purchase or not. It doesnt seem to common as i have left a thread on another board on here with not many responses, just if someone is flying and have more to lose.

Looks like the cost is basically 10% of your condo cost (800 versus the 80)
So, if the insurance would put your mind at ease for the "heaven forbid" situation, go for it.

Personally we always take the insurance for our Disney trip (not thru Disney) as we go the same time. We have not used it. BUT
My dh got sick for a Mexico 2 week vacation that ran him about 3000 and we got back every penny BOY was that worth it (ins was like 100)

So, once again, if you're "thinking" about it and it is "on your mind" then the cost seems to be outweighed by your sanity, lol.
