What is the best way to get from AoA to Cape may cafe for a breakfast ADR at 8:30. Also can we enter the international gateway (i think thats what its called) into Epcot after our breakfast even though worldshowcase isn't open till 11am?

Thanks

Take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you'll be able to get a boat to the BC, or, if the boats aren't running yet in the morning, a bus. I think the first boat leaves DHS shortly after 8.

You should allow at least 1 hour to get to your destination; so if you want to be at the restaurant at 8:15 for your 8:30 reservation, be at the bus stop at AoA by 7:15. When you board the bus, tell the driver that you are going to the BC for breakfast.

It's likely you'll arrive at the resort in much less than an hour, so be prepared to spend some time walking around, or have some activity to keep the kids (if any) busy.

And yes, Epcot's International Gateway opens about the same time as the main gate. Once you get in, some parts of World Showcase may be roped off, but you'll be able to get to Future World no problem.

You could also take a taxi for less than $10 and be there in about 5 minutes, the resorts are very close to each other, less than 3 miles.

if it is too early for the boats to be running, there will not be a bus from DHS to BC. The only other option would be to walk from DHS to BC. Ask the bus drivers, often they will detour their route to drop off people for character breakfasts at hotels. I have been on MK buses that stopped first at GF to drop one family off for breakfast.

This is what we do for our early morning meals. Spend a little money to get an extra chunk of sleep time.

Also, while most of the time an hour is ample time to get to your ADR using Disney transportation, sometimes it is not. Which is why Disney recommends allowing 90 minutes. Usually that long is not necessary, but the problem is you won't know you need 90 minutes until you need 90 minutes.

Taxis are quicker and much less hassle.

Unfortunately spending extra mining isn't an option we are staying on property to take full advantage of transportation.

I'm traveling with my DH and kids DS 6, DS 2.5, and DD 3 months.

Is there a schedual posted anywhere as to when transportation starts? Can you get a bus to the boardwalk? Would DTD be a better place to transfer than DHS to go to cape may from AOA?

The buses don't run on a set schedule. They usually start running 2 hours prior to park opening, as they know people are trying to run around to get to character meals. If you hit your bus stop at 7:15 it is possible you won't see a bus until 7:35 or so.

Whatever you do, don't use DTD as a transfer spot! Those buses are known for being slow! If you must use Disney transportation, follow joelkfla's advice. Be out at your resort's bus stop no later than 7:15 am. Take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and from there take transportation to the Beach Club.

Be aware that you will be spending at least an hour getting around. And whatever you do, make sure you are not late to your ADR, as they won't hold your spot indefinitely. Early is better than late!

There's no schedule.
Buses to the parks start at about 6:30 AM every day and run about every 30 minutes until an hour before the specific park opens, when the interval drops to about every 20 minutes.
There isn't a bus to the Boardwalk.
Because Downtown Disney opens later than the theme parks, transferring there isn't a good alternative.
Best solution is to see if you can come up with some 'emergency' vacation money now, for unexpected or urgent issues like needing to take a cab. Next best solution is to be at the DHS bus stop by 6:30; next best is to be there before 7. As advised above, ask the driver what's the best way to get to the Beach Club for breakfast.

Sorry, you are wrong. DHS provides bus service to the Epcot resorts for Guests traveling to breakfast before the boats have started. Sometimes that service will be provided by routing the bus to the resort before or after going to DHS; other times the Guests will be dropped at DHS and a transfer bus will be provided. It's up to the bus coordinator. But to avoid delays, the Guest needs to tell the driver on the original bus so that the driver can contact the coordinator for instructions.

As a general rule, always check with the driver when travelling between resorts. It may save you from going an unnecessarily roundabout way, or even going to a place where there is no direct transportation to your destination (like DTD for morning transfers, or Epcot for the Epcot resorts.)

Walking is an option from DHS to BC, for those who don't mind a walk of a mile or so before breakfast.
