Transportation from Sanford

Found a great deal on airfare flying into Sanford. (700.00 for 5 people round trip) What is the best way to get to a Disney resort from Sanford?

Maybe a one way car rental? Where'd you find such a good deal on airfare?

Aliegent. I live about 10hrs away and we were thinking about renting a car to drive down, but a 2 hr flight beats a 10 hr drive anyday

We are going from Sanford to Uni in August. I've been doing some research and have found a town car service is the best deal for us. 180 round trip with grocery stop and booster seat for my 7 yr. old. Rental cars from Sanford are pricey,plus parking at Uni is 18$ a day. I called a cab company and was quoted 90 dollars each way, so for the same price I will take the town car.

I have flown into Sanford a bunch of times. The first time, we used car service...right around $200 plus tip. All other times, we rented a car. I have to say that I found the rental rates to be very competitive with other airports. It's an easy drive, takes about an hour. The car rental counters are just past baggage claim. Just walk across the street and get your car...so very easy.

Rent a car, take the 417 (have about $5.00 in change for tolls) and youre there in an hour. There are couple rentals close to Downtown Disney. If you are willing to take the time and are staying on sight, rent for one day and drive to park. Since the buses make getting around the park easy, why pay for a week or so rental. Then rent from same place the morning you leave. I know at least one will deliver to your hotel. Its been a while so you may have to do some homework.

We've done this flight too Allegiant to Sanford. Rental was easy, I watched the rates, they did drop about 2/3 weeks before the trip, then went up a little. I was happy with a great rate and never went back to recheck.

The drive is longer then MCO, but we left early enough for the return flight it was a great price for the flight, the airport is smaller to navigate, and well worth the cost to have the car with us all week.

Especially when we had a dental emergency!
