How to do this without a car? Is there a bus that goes from AK to DTD without having to transfer at a resort? And is there still a bus stop at Pleasure Island? Or what is the closest DTD stop to T-Rex restaurant? Thanks.

There is no direct bus service between the parks and DTD. Too many people were parking at DTD and then hopping the bus. You have to transfer at a resort. There is still a stop at Pleasure Island.

You must transfer at a resort.

If you're traveling before 6 p.m., I suggest you transfer at AKL, as that will avoid stopping at BB. After 6, Pop, AoA, or CBR are good options.

Buses into DTD stop at MktPl and then PI, between noon and 10 p.m. The PI stop is closer to T-Rex, but there's not that big of a difference. Sometimes it's faster to get off at MktPl & walk, since the drive from MktPl to PI can take 10 minutes when traffic is bad.

So my sister is convinced the last time they were in Disney they got on a bus at AK and it took them to DTD. She said she asked a CM what bus to get on for DTD and they directed her to a specific bus. She said they had one stop (she can't remember where) but they didn't have to get off the bus and get back on another one. Anyone know what she is talking about? I'm guessing that maybe since it was around dinner time maybe AK was closing and they just happened to catch a bus that was on its last run to a hotel, then was switching service over to DTD and they just happened to be on it?

That is a possibility. Buses and drivers get shifted around when parks are closing. She may may have caught a bus assigned to DTD that had been temporarily reassigned to DAK for closing, and was on the way "home".

Can you take a cab to DTD from AK. What would the cost me approx.? If taking the bus before 6pm about how long would you allow to get to DTD?
Thanks

Probably $25 to $30 including tip. You can check at taxifarefinder.com

By bus, allow 60 to 90 minutes. I would use Pop Century resort as a transfer point.

I would take the bus to SSR, then the boat, or walk to DTD.
