We have a trip planned, but not yet booked, for July 2010. Our 180 day mark for ADR's is on Saturday, January 23. I was going to book a package through AAA like always, but then we got to talking to friends about DVC. Now we are meeting with a guide this Saturday. I know if we join DVC and everything is processed in time, I will get to make ADR's through DVC member services. Great. If we don't join DVC, I'll be at my AAA office next week and book. Then I'll make my ADR's January 23 with my package ressie number. Also, great. The problem is if DVC isn't totally processed by January 23, and we technically don't have a ressie yet, then what?
My backup plan was to make a room only ressie at a value resort for the dates I want and use that ressie for my ADR's. My question is that once DVC is processed, and we make a DVC ressie for those dates, can I transfer the ADR's to the DVC ressie and cancel the value resort ressie - without losing the ADR's. I don't mean to be sneaky, because I know we are going to Disney and staying on Disney property regardless. I just want to be sure I can take advantage of my 180+10 days. Can I do this?
