Transatlantic cruise

We did our first Disney cruise in the baltic. It was great but stressful as it was 4 straight days in ports. We booked the WBTA in 2016 for more sea days and it takes us direct to NYC! Can't wait!

Are there a lot of kids on the TA cruise? On the Western Carib cruise, I just wanted to relax on board with my DS, so the TA sounds like a wonderful option. And since there is not a lot to see, a cheaper porthole or inside cabin would make the cost more reasonable.

On both of our TA cruises there were only around 300 kids on the ship and they often sail with around 1,000 kids. They get lots of attention in the clubs, the pool is not as crowded and the lines for character greetings in shorter. We loved both of our TA with calm seas across the Atlantic and warm temps.

We went last year and loved it and had a great weather too .. little raining that was all. Love to go back again but not this year sadly...

Hey all, we are headed on the Western TA this September and looking forward to a lot of down time. I have been a lurker on and off for years, but we do The Mouse House at least twice a year and have done 3 of Disney cruises thus far.
I would love to hear or read some fellow WTA reports to get an idea of any special on-board lectures, tours, classes etc.
Thanks in advance, Joe

I didn't do a report last year but I'm sure there is at least one on here! Honestly there is so much going on you will be blown away at the special stuff!

If OP or anyone is looking for a longer cruise with lots of sea days without the spendy one way airfare from Europe, the Panama Canal Cruise is a great option as well. There were less than 300 kids (vs 1000+) on our cruise and it was wonderful. We live in San Diego, so walking home from the port (albeit in the rain) was also a bonus :) Lots of people did Disney World before or Disneyland afterwards...or both!

TA cruises can't be beat. We did the 2015 EBTA and 2007 WBTA. Both great. On the 2015 cruise there were 240 kids age 0 - 17. DGD age 2 had a blast - a few little girls her age in the nursery and they had their own little after dinner club it seemed. Characters would visit nursery and interact with each - Cinderella would sit on the floor and play blocks with them. The last night, DGD was the only one in line to see Minnie Mouse (we were overnighting in Copenhagen, many stayed in town, and it was during 2nd seating). Minnie and DGD sat on the steps together outside Lumiere's and "talked."
