Trail End Buffet

We just ate at Trail End for lunch during the Labor Day weekend. It was GREAT. For around $10 plus tax and tips, you get a great and fresh buffet. Good service and great food. Nothing fancy but the price and what you get is unbeatable.

The day before, we ate at Sci-fi, spent twice as much and the food was just OK.

Afterwards, my 5 year old went on a pony ride for $3.00 and checked out their petting zoo and their barn where their horses are.

We will definitely make it a point to visit in our future trips.

I have been wanting to go here but I'm curious about how easy it is to get to. I've been to FTW before but only with WDW transportaion. If you drive, is it a hassle? Otherwise, how did you get here and from which resort??

We took the ferry by Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness, and it was just a very short walk afterwards. Coming back, we took the same ferry and got off at MK.

If you drive, I believe you have to park the car somewhere else at FW and then take their bus to get there.

The ferry was fun, it may just be a bit of a wait, maybe 10/15 minutes.

We always wanted to do this but never did it. But now this is a must for our future trips. It is an excellent bargain!!!!!

We ate there for breakfast every morning when we stayed in one of the cabins. The price was great and the food was even better. Our servers were always friendly and acted like they really enjoyed their jobs. We will definately go again.

Whenever I've stayed at FW, we've eaten at the Trails End Buffett the first night because we are too tired to go anywhere else. I must say, every meal there has been wonderful, and we've been tempted to go more than once in our week long stay, even with all our other options. I would recommend people come over to FW and try this buffett... the atmosphere is so cozy and friendly, and it's a nice getaway from the hussle bussle of the rest of WDW. FW is also for that matter!

We were very impressed with Trails End for dinner! We weren't sure how to get there, but followed the signs to Fort Wilderness. We ended up going thru the ?MK gates....I told the CM that we just wanted to eat at Trails End, and we did not have to pay for parking!

Thanks lat! So, you went back and forth from MK during park hours? I'm thinking maybe I'll save this for when we are at WL - so easy to get to! But we'll be so close at POR next month, it seems a shame not to try!
