Trading WDW AP for DLR AP?

I remember reading in the past that WDW PHP that have remaining days can be traded for a DLR PHP pass....First, can this be done, and secondly, can you trade a WDW AP for a DLR AP (for the same expiration date, etc?)

WDW park hoppers can be used at Disneyland, if the ticket is valid and hasn't expired. The tickets will have to be exchanged daily at the gate.

AP's are park specific and not transferable to the different park.

Thank you! We are getting ready to get tickets for our WDW trip this month (before the prices rise again) and wanted to see if it would be worth getting our DVC AP if we could trade it for our DLR trip next spring/late summer.
