Trading VWL for BWV points

Hello all, we still havent closed on VWL but we have to admit we are dragging our feet because we would like to stay at BW quite often-usually the end of July for a week. I am watching resales but its pretty slim. Anyway we dont see a lot of adds on the rent/trade board that trade VWL for BW. Would there be much interest in BW owners to trade (ex: 150 points to 300 points) some years with us so we can reserve BW at 11 months and you can reserve VWL at 11 also? Or is it pretty easy to reserve a 2BR STD view for the end of July at 7 months? Thanks for your insight. Jade M.

This is exactly the reason that DW and I waited for a resale. Make sure you are on someone's list. Most of the time things sell within a couple of phone calls and the prices are rather aggressive.

My guess is it would be pretty rare for you to ever find a 2BR at BWV in July at the 7 month window period. As for getting all that AND standard view - very, very doubtful. But anything IS possible. Just don't bet on it.

It can't be said enough - buy where you plan to stay the most!

Maybe I misunderstood, but are you saying you'd like to trade 300 WLV points for 150 BWV points? Or do you mean you'd like to trade between 150 - 300 points? My eyes lit up when I first read your post. I love my BWV but for double the amount of points I'd trade my 11 month window in a heartbeat.

You will here it over and over but buy where you are going to want to stay the majority of your vacations. If it is BWV then wait out a resale. With the # of new DVC's being built and the # of new members it is going to be more and more important to have the 11 month window at the resort you want to be at.
How many different resale brokers are you registered with. If you are interested in a name just email me.

I too was concidering addding on to our contract with WLV. But our home resort is Boardwalk and this is where I plan on staying the most. And since I'm not in a hurry to do it in the near furture I am holding out for a small Boardwalk resale.

I'm the person you are looking for. I own at BWV and am thinking of buying a small add-on in WLV but I have no problem trading points (ONE-FOR-ONE) for July since I will only go during that month eventually. E-mail me and we'll see what we can arrange.

I appreciate all the responses to this question. Sorry, I did mean pretty close to point for point trades (not 100 for 300) but I have been on the call back list from A Time Share for weeks-nothing. I sent an email to Joe since he may want to trade occasionaly (not sure how that works). I plan to send our paperwork back this week for VWL which we have stayed at and loved also. Cant wait to get back to WDW!!!! Thanks everyone. Jade M.
