Three was the perfect age for our son! No diapers, understands not to wander away and who to look for if he needs help. EPCOT was an amazing visit for him as he was already big into maps and geography. It started him on a lifetime of international travel! My husband and I have recently become first time grandparents, and can’t wait to take our grandson to Disney! I am wondering at what age your children first visited Disney World. My children were 10 and 6 on our first visit. My niece was 3 and seemed to handle it well. I am just curious about others’ experiences.
My oldest had just turned 4, and my youngest was 16 months. I had an awesome side by side stroller . The feet could extend and the back could go down completely (each side could be adjusted independently. I do credit that with making the trip easier ….. naps were easy in the stroller . Also at least one resort that doesn’t need a bus made a difference. With young ones , I’d definitely go with a Magic kingdom resort …. We did wilderness lodge … stroller could be wheeled right onto the boat .My husband and I have recently become first time grandparents, and can’t wait to take our grandson to Disney! I love this!!! The picture is precious!!To WDW, they were 15 months and almost 7 years old. To DLR, they were 7 weeks and 9 months. We have great memories of all of it, even the 7 week old where we held her up around various places and took "selfies."
But my very favorite ages for each kid were just before they turned 3. They were tall enough to ride almost everything, they loved the magic and full of wonder, and they were free!![]()
