Trading Spaces - Hildi's at it again!!!!

1) WHAT was Hildi thinking?

2) Did you catch Ty telling the homeowner about liquid nails when they were putting on the wainscoting. He said that you basically ruin the walls when you try to take it off.

3) My first thought when I saw the fabric used for the curtains and bedspread was teeth. Teeth with braces.

4) Umm, cardboard walls and candles???

5) The ONLY nice thing in the room was the bed that Ty built!!!

6) Those homeowners were way too nice when they saw the hidious room Hildi designed.

7) Who in their right mind, unless they're a starving student or something, uses cardboard furniture?

8) I loved what Frank did - beautiful and understated.

I don't bother watching if Hildi is going to be on. Her decorating disasters aren't worth my time.

I would like to know what she spent $1000 on. I feel so bad for the homeowners, they have a lot of work ahead of them removing all that cardboard.

I loved Frank's room last night! The bed fabric looked gorgeous.

If I was the victim of THAT hideos design............. let's just say that I would AT MINIMUM give her a few "choice" words. Since she won't listen to anyone in English, maybe French would have worked better (like those French instructions for putting together the cardboard furniture).

Frank, on the other hand, is one of the best! I love his work.

The "record" room was OK - If I remember correctly - it was a basment family room.

I lost respect for Hildi when she "flowered the bathroom." I lost more respect for her when she did the "hay' room. She sunk to a new low with the "feather" room. This room was a new low for Hildi IMHO.

What's next for her? A room based on garbage can liners? I know, I know - the styrofoam popcorn peanut packing things

I think the worst show I saw was Hildi and Genivieve...one of them (I think Hildi) did MOSS on the walls and slate on the floor. They just glued the moss to the walls and the slate to the floor. It was nasty. I would have had to get anaphalaxis shots to walk into that room, and if I were the homeowner, I would have been shown STRANGLING the designer!

Frank or Vern can do a room in my house anyday. The thing is, I now have a great neighbor on my block that we could do this, but I would be so worried about having Hildi show up to do either house that there is no way I'd apply.

Actually it was Genivieve that did the moss on the walls. But in that same epi wasn't the floor in the other room changed from a nice carpet to concrete? After seeing Gen and the moss I was worried that she was going outrageous. But it seems like Hildi took that example and just went runnig with it.

I thought Hildi was nuts to line a room with brown felt (in a house that has cats). But when she did the hay on the wall where there are small kids, oy, what a nutcase. I think she responded to the neighbors' worries that the homeowners should just teach the kids to not touch it. She obviously doesn't have, or care about, kids. And what a dusting nightmare that flower bathroom was. But when she did the feathers and now the cardboardm - especially with the way the use lighted candles to "finish" the room. I think Hildi needs to be committed.

I watched. This is only the second room i've seen Hildi do, since i don't watch this show all the time. My goal is just once to see the owners scream at her. Just once, I know i would have if she put cardboard on my walls. The couple doing the room didn't like it either and told her so. I got the impression that the owners liked it till they found out it was cardboard. I do not envy them having to fix that room.

And here's my question: Hildi's room are so much work for 2 days. How do the couples get any sleep putting all that stuff on? The faether room at least would have taken me all night to finish.

I don't enjoy Hildi's work at all. She is very arrogant and sometimes makes people look silly if they don't appreciate her ideas. Like someone else said, she would never put this junk in her own home.

And did you notice Paige in that southern belle dress at the opening of the show? She looked so adorable! She defenitely should have been Belle when she was in the tour of Beauty and the Beast.

Saw the episode this afternoon - hated it! I wouldn't want Hildi doing my room and I wouldn't want to work with her either.

clh2 - Be quiet! You're giving her ideas with that packing peanuts talk!

I lost respect for her when she put all those Wine labels up in the kitchen of a pastor's house, even after the neighbors said they do NOT drink. She really is wacky!!
