Trade/Transfer?

This may be a newbie question, and may also not belong in this forum. Sorry if thats the case...

We just bought into * recently. Further digging has us real interested in * also. We are not in a position to purchase more points at *.

Curious, can you (and does anyone) do the following: In a future year, could we 'trade/transfer' some of our * points for another members * points?
Allowing THEM to get into * at the 11 month mark, and US to get into * at the 11 month mark?

Details have been removed as things like resorts, dates, etc may only be posted on the rent/trade board.

You can transfer points, but are only allowed one per year (in or out) so you could not trade back and forth, as that would be considered two transfers..

You can "trade" reservations, make one at your home resort and trade for another at another member's home resort. That may be something to seek out.

Be sure to visit the Rent/Trade board to see some examples of what folks are requesting...

No problem! In fact, once I started with OKW I found so many reasons to be staying at other resorts, my add ons commenced!

I love OKW - the original DVC and love the laid back Jimmy Buffet kind of vacation..

Found BWV to be desirable for early December! The holiday decorations and location are wonderful..

BCV - had to have Stormalong Bay access and location location location..

Vero Beach - provides a relaxing add on beach vacation to either a WDW trip or a Disney Cruise vacation..

Now, if I can only control my VGC urges, LOL!

So, explore your urges to try other resorts, you may surprise yourself!

Some have done this but it's a hassle for a minimal benefit and a risk to each party, esp if one travels second. IMO it's not worth it except in very specific circumstances. OTOH, for private non DVC exchanges it can be the best option. Doing a trade of points won't work in most cases and is overly complicated even when it would work otherwise.
