Tracey's wedding weight loss attempt (comments welcome & needed!!)

Your journal hates me!!! The last 3 times I've posted, it either disappears or hangs up. I'm on the 2nd try this morning & hoping this one will actually appear.

Wonderful that Gary loves the house as much as you do.

Sounds like you're doing well at getting back on track.

Have a great rest of the week.

Everything crossed hoping this posts!!!!!

Dip is just too darn tasty Tracey, I hear ya on that one. At least you had soy chips with it. GREAT job at the gym, you go girl! I am proud of you, you are really getting back on track. Yes, men seldom know what is best for them so we women must prod them along and then when they enjoy the fruit of our labor, we can lord it over them FOREVER! I am so glad your new home is all you had hoped it would be!

Keep up that good work!

Had a wierd moment today!!

It was (or would have been) my grandmas birthday yesterday, i couldnt stop thinking about her when i went to bed, i find mostly now i struggle to remember how she sounded when she spoke but i could hear her voice as clear as anything in my head.....
Today at school we were doing poetry & i sat with a shy boy who was nervous about picking & reading a poem out to the class, i turned the page of the book & theres this poem about grandma not being there anymore & sitting in her empty chair (my grandma had her favourite chair & after she passed away i couldnt bring myself to sit in it for ages!)
I photocopied it but left it at school will post it tomorrow.

Also a few weeks ago i was walking through the park & could see my shadow & was thinking of Amy & about a poem a wish friend sent me when my grandma passed away..'whenever you think of me i'm only a footstep behind'
i kept looking at my shadow wishing i could see my grandmas shadow a footstep behind me, i felt really sad....i got to school & ended up comforting a parent who had lost her father recently, got talking & she gave me a number of a medium who she says is really good & she said '' you'll ring when your ready & you ARE ready'' I had not told her about my walk in the park!!!

I've not rang the number but starting to wonder.......

On a lighter note - check this 1971 advert for WDW out...its frightening!!!:scared1:

Tracey -- Thank you so much for posting in my journal yesterday! So, are we going to challenge each other to avoid late night eating and volume eating? Here is the post from my journal that I did in response to yours from yesterday:

Tracey -- I hope you were able to sustain your good behavior last night. ;) I didn't have time to eat before I left the office, so after the gym I ate an apple. When I got home I made salad for today and also cooked steamed mushrooms & onions, barley, whole wheat couscous, and 2 tiny sweet potatoes. I ate the 2 baby sweet potatoes and steamed mushrooms & onions over whole wheat couscous. No other snacks! :woohoo: So, I think we count Monday as a victory for both of us, right?

Tracey!!! What a great trip it looks you have planned for WDW!!! Lots of yummy places!!! How long will you be on holiday??? I never take more than 1 week at a time.

Glad you hear the unpacking is going well...New fridge, new furniture! yay!

I got the poem i mentioned from school :
My Grandma

My grandmas gone away
and left her empty chair
I cross my fingers and pray
But shes no longer there

We're all as sad as clowns
we cry & our noses go red
we live in a land of frowns
for all our laughter is dead

i miss her crinkly face
her hands so creased and worn
theres no one to take her place
oh, my heart is tumbled and torn

i wonder if she hears
as i sit in her comfy chair
shed wipe away my tears
sing hush my dear there there :sad1:

i'm dedicating this in loving memory of my grandma Gladys Dallman

ok,
did anyone check out that scary wdw video??
Tuesday
b/fast - cereal
lunch - salad, yogurt
dinner - homemade veggie pizza (wholemeal tortilla base) with a few fries
yogurt

DH has gone gritting & i know theres chocolate in the fridge...must resist..
Cam help...

Stacie - we are going for 3 weeks - 15 nights in pop & 5 nights in royal pacific
because its such a long way & flights are soooooo expensive we try to go as long as possible as we only get to go every 2 yrs on average.

My goddaughter :)

where has the week gone???

Feeling pretty horrid - bad head i think i'm coming down with something DH has been ill all week - from working outside all day in freezing tempretures & then gritting all night!!!

food been ok

DD was in a talent show at school last night, her & 2 friends sang a song - pure shores from the movie 'The Beach'
i have never heard her sing before because she'll never sing in front of me so i had no idea if she was any good!!
I was sooo nervous waiting for her to come on stage, & when she sang....
she was brilliant!!!
I couldnt believe how good she is!! i kept thinking is that sound coming from her mouth? & it was!!
Audiance voted last night & they have to sing again tonight to judges. I really hope they come somewhere - but lots of other good acts too.Its 8.30pm now should know in another hour!

Not been to gym - what with gary working late & dd's show & feeling horrid!!
so i havnt been for 2 weeks now :( i had just started to get back into it!!
I did manage to walk the two 25 mins walk to & from work on wednesday, it was freeeezing but the park looked like Narnia :)

I have finally put pics up of the house! They didnt come out as good as i hoped but there ok, added one of my grandma too:

Your house looks beautiful, Tracey and I love that you added a picture of your grandma to the slideshow too. :goodvibes

Hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks Tracy
I think my grandmother would like to be in cyber space ;)

DD didnt win the contest :(she took it really well & is even planning what to do next year!
A group of much older girls won - singing 'Lady Marmalade' in basques :rolleyes1 ...,maddening thing is they were actually not very good, but had lots of friends/family support & i suppose their outfits helped!!!

slept in till 10am this morning & still feeling groggy & light headed - hopefully it wont get any worse than this!!

Friday
b/fast - cereal
lunch - chk salad, strawberries, yogurt
dinner - fish & chips, choc bar.....ate that late - sorry Cam, i needed comfort food!

Anybody know much about cats???
We have a cat that practically lived outdoors at the old house, when we moved we kept her in & now she wont go out at all!!! we take her outside & she just runs back in!!
Any advice???

I hope you're feeling better soon, Tracey.

I'm sorry to hear that your DD and her friends didn't win, but it sounds like they had a great time and are getting ready for next year's show.

I don't have any advice on cats.. We have 2 dogs, a guinea pig, and a fish.;) Hope someone can give you some cat advice....:goodvibes

Hope you have a great Sunday!
