Tracey's wedding weight loss attempt (comments welcome & needed!!)

Tuesday
Well i'm off work sick :(
Throat never recovered from hayfever last week!
Been to Dr & i now have a throat & chest infection & am on antibiotics :sick:
I'm gonna give the gym a break today.
I am going to a 'ladies day' on saturday (horse races) & want to be well, the school principle has paid for all the staff to go as a thankyou for us getting a great Ofstead inspection. We have to dress up :)

I'm afraid i'm comfort eating!
B/fast - croissant
lunch - sandwich, yogurt, small cake, small choc bar
dinner - having chk, potatoes & salad

Off to watch tennis at Wimbeldon on tv

Sounds like Gym Guy has the hots for you! Your trip is so close, that will be a nice break from the rain. Hope you feel better very soon, how is your mil doing? Maybe I didn't scroll back enough in your journal after being gone for over two weeks. Hope she is continuing to improve!

MIL is doing ok she is home now. Its still hard to understand her speech but it has got a little better.
Thursday
Still off work, but feeling a bit better today, so i will go back tomorrow.
Started sorting clothes for the Maldives today :)
Just hope we DO see some sun, & we dont hit a monsoon!!

b/fast - cereal
lunch - gonna have crispbreads, yogurt & try & resist chocolate!
dinner - gonna have a curry a think!

Have to add an ice cream bar after dinner last night :sad2:
Itching to get to the gym, i might have a swim tonight & hit the steam room to help my throat.

I am really interested in pics and a trip report from the Maldives!

I noticed you went to the horse races. I am from Kentucky, horse capital of the world. The Queen came to the Kentucky Derby this year. She often comes to Kentucky to buy horses. The town she usually comes to is Versailles, Kentucky. It is pronouced Ver-sales instead of the French Ver-sigh. (We Kentuckians can screw up any pronunciation!).

Hope you have a great trip! By the way, I love Wimbledon! Just watched Vaidisova lose. I am a great sports fan and only a casual tennis fan, but I love watching Wimbledon. Our American men are going to have to pick up the pace. Roddick drives me crazy! He has so much talent and physical power, but he is weak mentally. Maybe with Jimmy Connors as his coach, this will change!

It's the weekend and I hope you are feeling better. I just went thru a bout of this stuff and feeling better, after 10 days! Ouch! Took the dr nearly a week to give me anything for it.

Take care of yourself. Glad to hear MIL is home. That always helps. Stress can make a bad cold horribly worse

Glad to report i'm almost back to my old self ;)

I managed to go for a swim Thursday & sat in the steam room & jaquizi :)
Had the curry for dinner & then DH ''treats'' me to some cheese & chive dip where i demolished the whole tub in about 4 mins!!! :(

Friday

The horse racing ladies day got canceled :( due to flooding :mad:
I'm really dissapointed about that - stupid weather! i was really looking forward to wearing my new dress!
Went back to work but felt very tired & weak, so didnt go to the gym. Also had to get holiday injections (boy my arm hurts!) & on top of that TOM arrived!! & i'm still smiling!
b/fast - non - feeling VERY guilty after the dip
lunch - chk salad, yogurt
dinner - fish & chips :sad2:

Saturday
OK - the start of my new eating healthy plan!
I have 4 weeks to get in shape before the Maldives, if i can loose 7lb's i'll be over the moon.
Went to gym - burnt 870 cals :)

b/fast - small bowl of cereal (trying to watch portion control)
lunch - cheese, ham, tomato & mushroom omlette
dinner - think i'm having chk fatigas

Dax - i saw the queens visit to Kentucky on the news! I'm not a great tennis fan - not watching it, i like to play, but i'm rubbish ;) I saw Serena Williams game when she got injured & went on to win, that was a great game & she was proberbly the only person in the country who was glad of the rain!!

Talking of rain - its stopped :woohoo: I've even saw some sunshine today & blue sky!!! Keep everything crossed!

You looked fantastic in your cocktail party pics. Gym guy definitely is trying to pick you up. Does he not see the left hand ring?! Glad you are feeling better. dinner - cheese & pastrami roll

Went to gym - burnt 840 cals :)

Monday

Woke up about 2am with really bad burning stomach pains, i was in agony! & burning up.
Got to the bathroom where i had dihorea (SP??) spent about 40 mins in bathroom!!
Went to work this morning but they've sent me home!!..so i'm off again :sad2:
Whatever next??? At least i'm hopefully getting everything out the way before my holls!!
It could be the antibiotics, i am also on other medication too - hayfever, pill & painkillers prescribed for TOM!
OR it could be the holiday vacinations from Friday :confused3
OR it could just be a bug!!

I just dont want to get tempted food wise being stuck at home! I had a good weekend food wise.
My legs are killing me from the gym!! Just goes to show what a week off does!
I feel like i've ridden a horse for 3 days!!

So sorry your tummy is out of sorts. That is the absolute worst! It is probably the antibiotics or the combination of all the stuff. Good idea to eat the yogurt. Here's :wizard: that you are feeling better soon.

Woke up feeling much better :goodvibes
Went to work,
had my hair cut tonight - just a trim, looks nice :)
BUT i have been contemplating having my hair permed, i mentioned this at hairdressers & it just happens that they need a model for training tomorrow night!!
They said the head stylist oversees everything & the girl that will do it has done 4 perms at this salon & more where she worked before.
AND instead of it costing over £60 ($120) it will be FREE :cool1:
SOOO they are speaking to head stylist/owner tomorrow & letting me know,
So keep fingers crossed girls - i just hope i like it & my hair doesnt fall out :eek:

lunch - soya & linseed bread sandwich with cheese & onion filler, yogurt, strawberries
dinner - baked potato with chk, cheese & bacon filler on top

Notice how the tummy bug didnt effect my appetite!!!! (or the throat/chest infection!)
I'm the only person i know who doesnt loose weight when their ill but puts it on!!
 
Hey Tracey! I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well. :hug: I'm the same as you. Most of the time when I'm sick, I gain weight. I have much better self-control with food when I'm at work, than when I'm home.

Your trip is coming up so soon!! (I'm jealous). You know I'm a picture person, so take lots of pics to show us!! :thumbsup2
 
Hi Tracey, no you are not the only person who doesn't lose weight when "their ill butt puts it on"! I don't either. For that matter, I gave birth to an 8 pound baby twice and left the hospital heavier both times! I hope you are feeling better, your food looks pretty good. And your trip is so close! How exciting, where are the Maldives exactly? And to think Geography was my minor in college. :rolleyes1

Well the perm didnt work out :( & i'm not sure why :confused3
she called this morning to say she couldnt do it, oh well i'm gonna add more blonde highlights instead!!

AMY - the Maldives is in the Indian Ocean, kinda quite a way down from India!
Its an 11 hour flight from the UK, so proberbly about 19 hrs from the US as your in the other direction!!!

I cant believe so many of you havnt heard of the Maldives!!
Its kinda classed as a dream destination over here, i suppose its because its so far away for you guys that not many have heard of it!! (pretty far away for us too!)

I bought a snorkel set today - flippers, mask & snorkel
I'm quite scared of swimming out my depth in the ocean, when we did the 7 night DCL we went to 'Trunk Bay' in US Virgin Islands & i pre-booked a snorkeling trip before we went (so that i couldnt chicken out) & i ended up jumping off the back of the boat (12 ft drop!!) into the ocean - it is proberbly the bravest thing i've ever done, so i'm hoping by buying the snorkel set it will give me the courage to swim in the ocean at the Maldives! Especially as that is what it is most famous for - supposed to have amazing coral reefs!

You can tell my holl is getting closer - i'm waffling on about it ;)
