Great update! Chef's looks fantastic, I always read negative reviews about it, but I think it looks good...I love onion soup and that sandwich looks yummy and I could live on melted cheese, so I think I'm going there on my next trip!

Oh yeah, you totally have to love cheese to eat a Croque Monsieur sandwich! When I visited Paris, they are truly a staple at all cafes there!

Love the pictures of getting stuck on Splash. That's a great way to pass the time!

I've always heard good things about it. It's not your usual steak and potato type of place which maybe people think they've dumbed down the menu but they don't, and it's good!

He moved around a little bit but didn't talk to us at least. I didn't see him in March or in Dec when were there so I guess we hit the timing right in Oct!

NOW IT'S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE..TO THE OCT TRIP!! 12/29

HI DIS FRIENDS!! Sorry for the delay in reporting! I thought I'd have loads of time when I got back from the Dec trip but between Xmas and family in town, it got pushed aside!

I hope everyone had a great Xmas! I'm going to be reporting on the last day of the Oct trip and then I'll start Dec this weekend since I have a 3 day weekend !!

When I left off, J, M and I were fast asleep in our beds dreading the following day where we'd have to say good bye

We all decided to not set an alarm and just go with the flow..ya right.

I HAD A BRAND NEW AP TO USE AND WANTED TO TRY IT BEFORE LEAVING!

So..since M added a day to her PH pass, we decided to get up early and go to Epcot and ride Test Track since we hadn't earlier in the trip..would I get all nervous and emotion given the situations at the beginning of the trip?!

M and I walked toward the main building. She went to check her luggage and get her boarding pass and I got a quick bite for breakfast then..

We caught a bus right away and were off to Epcot!

We made it right in time for rope drop which seemed like a miracle! I used my AP and it worked perfectly!! I've heard horror stories about AP deactivating and as of Dec when we went, it's been fine!

We hustled toward the Pin Station for rope drop!

As rope drop ended, the mob went towards Soarin and we walked towards TT! We of course walked right on and rode. I caught out the glimpse of my eye, a paper on the desk before the outdoor loop part that had my brothers name on it! Of course M didn't see it so we rode again! It turns out his initials (or nitials as my kids at school call them!) are on a dry-erase board in the environmental chambers. I'm not sure if that changes from semester to semester or not but it was cool to see! ..sorry no pics!

After that, we debated about riding other things but M wanted to head to DHS to see some shows and I wanted some pool time with J before she left at 12 so at 9am, I said bye to M who's flight was later that night and headed back to CSR.

I made it out to the pool by 10am! Thanks to my friend D, we didn't even have to request late check-out for 1 which was perfect because J's DME was at 12, mine at 1, and M at 4!

J and I loved the pool once again!

We didn't come back with too much sun but on quick trips like that, it seems like we never do!

After a while, J decided to use her last CS before heading back to shower and catch her DME bus. She got a burger and fries I think??

By 11:20, J said bye to me and I was alone I decided to get lunch before heading back at 12 and I took a gamble and got the nachos and boy was it a good choice!!

All in All we did great with the free dining! We managed to eat all of our meals and snacks! The only regret was Food and Wine but after spending rack rate for the room and getting "free dining" plus everything else..I might have tried 5 things or so but not a ton like when we lived there!

By 12, I packed up, headed to the room, showered, packed up and headed for my DME bus.

My bus came about 20 mins late but we were the last stop. Driving to the airport was bitter sweet! I thought my flight and J's might be delayed due to stormy weather in the mid-west but they were both on time!

I made it home safely and back to work the following day



FINAL THOUGHTS..

So I guess you're wondering where the whole Bed Bug thing came into play. On Sat, Oct 23, M woke up with what she though were mosquito bites from the previous night.. just a few but not a ton. I sadly didn't have cream like I usually did so she ended up buying some and didn't see anymore bites. J woke up our last morning on the 26th with a few as well. By the following day she has tons she said in a text sent to me while I was at work.
and me..I didn't get a single bite..but..

On Fri night, I slept alone in the bed by the bathroom, Sat, M slept with me in the same bed by the bathroom, Sun and Mon, I slept with J in her bed but slept next to the door. When J and M slept in that bed on Fri, M was near the nightstand in the middle. With J and I, she slept in the spot by the nightstand too..they both ended up with bites, I didn't. I would pretty much call that a miracle and lesson learned so maybe the bugs hadn't spread to the side by the door or the bed near the bathroom. We now check all hotel beds for bed bugs!!

Aside from that issue and all the others, it was a good trip! It was nice to have a reunion in the place that we all met and lived together! We're in the process of planning another reunion, maybe to CT to see M this summer? I enjoy the WDW reunions but I know it's wayy more money!!

We'll see where our lives/adventures take us next!!!

What a fun, but sad last day, saying goodbye to your friends! How cool that you got to see your brother's initials on TT! And how nice that you and J got in some pool time before you both had to leave!

That's scary about the bed bugs! I'm a freak about checking the beds in hotels, but who knows if you would be able to see them even if they are there!

Glad you guys had a great trip! Can't wait to read the new TR!
