TR -Dexter and Skylar Drive Mommy Crazy! With Pictures and Videos. Updated 2/17/09

I have been working on my binder. I'll take some pictures to show you guys later. I am making journal pages they will have all the main plans for the day listed along with our dinning reservations. Some days have more plans then other.

And then 2 x 3.5 in. cards that will have our dinning reservation numbers and the park hours on them.

(I know I can trust all of you guys. But I just don't want to show up to my reservation to find out that someone else has it:rotfl2: so I blurred out the reservation #)

So I am making one of each day. The pictures in the background are light enough to wright on. I just thought it makes it look cuter. :)

I'll post pictures when I'm done. I am trying to get as much done each day while Skylar takes her nap. :thumbsup2
I still have to make the rest of my door signs & t-shirts!! I better get started!! It's crazy how long this trip takes to plan! :goodvibes

Good luck packing!

Your binder pages are super cute! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I got the idea of a binder from all the Disers who make one. It's a great idea! I wish I had done it for all my trips!

:) If I could add only 36 more we could leave now!!!!

We are SOOOO ready to be in Disney!!! This snow in Chicago is crazy!
It warmed up alittle over the weekend and then rained. Well then it cooled down really fast and the rain turned into ice. :headache:
Then Shawn got sent home early from work on Monday because the building his company was working for hired non-union workers. So their was a picket line.
Shawn coming home from work early is wouldn't normally be a bad thing. But on the way home he got into a car accident. It wasn't that bad. He's fine... His Jeep is fine. But he did damage to the other car. I guess he was only going 5-10mph and tried to stop - but since their was no salt he slid 80-100 feet!!! :scared1:
No big deal - I guess that's why you have insurance and why they call them accidents.
Then yesterday we had a snow storm and it took him almost 4hours to get home from work! :scared:

Orlando is looking better and better to me!! I wish we could just move there!:lovestruc

I have been thinking alot about my BIG SURPRISE and I need you help.
What do I do??? At this point I don't care if I surprise him right before we leave or when we are in Disney World. What ever way I do it I am going to video tape it so that I can capture his expression.
I don't want to do anything with Xmas - but other then that do you guys have any suggestions?? It could be an at home surprise or a at Disney surprise.
I've seen alot of people surprising little kids and they have cute ideas. The only problem is that I think he will catch on too quickly with those ideas.

Have you guys ever see that MasterCard ad where the husband buys his wife a brown paper bag, a trampoline, and a box of tissue? Well he really thinks that ad is funny... so I was thinking about doing something with that.
Like maybe having the house be really quiet when he comes home from work. In the living room will be the three items I listed above along with the cruise documents all wrapped up with a big red bow on them. Then I could try to capture his reaction with a hidden camera.

I really don't know. HELP ME!!! :flower3:

I always like having people go on scavenger hunts for stuff. When he gets home one day have the first clue on the door and lead him to different items along the way but tell him to keep going at each one. Then have the documents hidden and ready for him to find them. I love doing that for surprises. Hope this helps!

OK - so thats one vote for at home.
I was reading a pretrip report where the DH took it a step further and had the scavenger hunt take place outside the house. Going to businesses where he had the workers give them the next clue.
Humm.... that would be fun to end the 'hunt' at the Disney Store. :)
I could just set it up for Shawn and the kids and then follow them with the camera.
Then maybe at the final stop 'The Disney Store' have a cast member hand them the cruise documents.
I would have to wait until a week before the trip to make sure I had the documents and to avoid all the xmas returns.

Any other ideas?

So I've been thinking about this all day. I really like the idea of a scavenger hunt and I like the idea of waiting until Disney. So maybe a scavenger hunt at disney?? hummm.....

I m thinking at Disney would be cool. Because the cruise is the surprise part of it all right? I am sure being at Disney more of the CM's would be more willing to help you then strangers at a store. And, I am sure the CM's woud probably add their own insight. I say go for Disney!

Yep! Yep! Yep! Disney it is!!!
Now you are all just going to have to wait until I come back to find out my plan. I have to keep some sort of surprise for you! :rolleyes1
I'm very excited!!! I was so worried that my surprise to Shawn was going to be lame. Now I think it will be a real memory!!

Hey Nat!!!

I haven't been here in a while but I wanted to check in and say hello!!

 I was wondering if anyone was still reading since I haven't been posting much.

Life has been crazy - We just put a offer on a house. We actually offered $5000 over asking price but have a feeling we still won't get it. It's a forecloser that is listed about $120,000 less then it was bought for in 2005!!!
We'll see... not really getting my hopes up.

We leave in 26 days!!! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:
