Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

I'm not sure what I am going to do about my glasses yet. I cleaned them off and the scratches are there, but only noticeable if I am looking directly at a light source. I may try and hold off on buying new ones until after WDW. It's a wait and see thing right now.:

I'm new here to this board & I've enjoyed very much reading your journals! You're lucky your trip is so close now!! Mine is a year away! Just wanted to say re: the glasses, that they don't have to be so expensive...if you have your prescription and it works for you, there are some great places online. I paid $30.00 for prescription sunglasses online this year. I don't know if its against the rules to tell you another site on these boards or not, but there are some good places online that are well reviewed. Just a thought...

Hi Tracy
Happy First Day of School! :goodvibes

I was excited also when the discounts came out. Now I can plan for January and of course we can all dream about other trips in between.

You had a very busy day yesterday. I hope you had a few minutes to yourself. :hug:

Tracy, I am so glad the discounts came out early. I just wish October 2011 was included. I am hoping for bounceback offers.:goodvibes

How did your first day of school go?

My best advice with the glasses is do NOT buy one of those scratch repair kits. They didn't work for me at all. Do you have a Vision Works in your area? They always advertise around here with this "second pair free" thing. I am actually hoping to get new glasses myself in the next couple of weeks.

How is your grandma doing? Still have her in my prayers.

Hey Wish sis, hope things are going well! Been thinking about you during your first week back with school. :goodvibes

Thanks therriau4, Lisa, and Amy for stopping by. :grouphug:

The past couple of days have been so busy here. :( It's not going to get any less busy over the next few days either. My MIL's birthday is on Sunday and we're having a party at her house for her. We have shopping to do, decorations to buy, and we have to clean her house without her wondering what's up. (Did I mention it's a surprise party?) Add that in to work and school and we are busy, busy, busy! :faint:

I've been fighting a major headache all day long today. :headache: I took some aspirin awhile ago and I'm hoping it kicks in before soccer practice.

If you could send some good thoughts/prayers for my DH, I would really appreciate it. He's very burned out from work right now. :( I'm glad that we have a vacation to look forward to in the next few weeks because he really needs a break and some rest and relaxation.

I hope everyone has a nice evening!:hug:

Hi Tracy,

Sounds like a busy yet fun weekend! I hope you can pull off the surprise for your MIL.

I'm sending good thoughts and prayers for you and your hubby. Think pleasant thoughts and get into that vacation mind-set every time the stress and headaches want to take over. Picture yourself relaxing at your resort soaking up the sun and enjoying a cool drink.

Have yourself a great weekend and count the days till vaca!

Have fun with the surprise party. :goodvibes Good luck at pulling it off. Just tell MIL that cleaning her house is part of her present? :thumbsup2

Said a little prayer for DH. 3 more weeks to Disney and you all can relax a little. :hug:

Sun, pool, Disney........ahhhhhhhhh

Sorry about your glasses! How old are they? Some places will fix the scratches if under 1 yr.

Will be praying DH gets a break soon & that things ease up before vacation.

Also that the surprise party works out & your headache leaves you alone!!

Can't believe school is starting already. Seems summer just began!

Have a great weekend! Make sure to get some you time in!

Thank you so much, ladies. :grouphug: I really appreciate the good thoughts and prayers for my DH. He has been having a tough week this week. :( We are all looking forward to this vacation in a big way! ::yes::

We have a very busy weekend ahead of us:

Today:
* Homeschooling
* Party Shopping
* DD9's Soccer Game

Saturday:
* Work for DH
* Meeting @ 11:00 a.m.
* DH deejays
* Dinner at my grandma's house

Sunday:
* MIL's Birthday Brunch

I'm not going to schedule much for Monday because we'll need a break from our busy weekend.

I weighed in this morning and showed a .4 pound loss. That's two weeks worth of WATP and decent eating. I kind of felt like throwing my scale out the window this morning. :blush:

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:hug:

Don't fret cause the scale didn't move much...you're sticking to it, so eventually the number has to go down.

You are one busy cookie! (pardon the food reference, I just can't help myself)...we used to homeschool too! It was awesome & I hope you're having as much fun with it as I did.

Good luck this weekend, sure sounds like you're going to be busy!

:cheer2:

Busy, busy weekend. I hope you are having a fun one. You mentioned dinner at Grandma's, how is she doing?

Hope the party tomorrow is great.

We had such a busy weekend! :faint: We've decided to take the day off today.:thumbsup2 No school and the minimum amount of work possible. ;)

The brunch went well. :goodvibes Everyone helped out and my MIL had a great time. :banana:

DD9's soccer team lost this weekend, but she scored a goal and played good defense.:cheer2:

I can't believe our trip is only 20 days away!:banana: I need to work on a pre-trip to do list so we're not running around cleaning the house and getting things at the last minute.

I hope everyone has a nice Monday!:grouphug:

I am so happy for you that your trip is so close! :cool1: One of my favorite parts of our WDW trips is just before we go...when its so close you can almost smell the hotel lobby & feel the spray from Splash Mountain. I know you're going to have a wonderful time!!

Glad you had a nice weekend! :hippie:

Thanks therriau4! :goodvibes

We had a nice, relaxing day yesterday. I'm glad that we decided to take Monday off. :goodvibes

Today will be a busy day. Here's the plan:

* School
* Workout
* Finish laundry
* Work for DH
* Haircuts?
* Work on Disney to do list
* Surveys

I really need to sit down and make my Disney to do list. We're 19 days away and I have a feeling those 19 days are going to go by pretty fast. We'll probably start packing soon too. :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a nice day!:wizard:

Tracy
Glad that MIL's party went well and she had a good birthday.

Yay!!! for DD's goal! :cheer2:

Yay!!! for 20 days to Disney! :banana::banana::banana:

So many wonderful things and Disney just around the corner. :goodvibes

I pray your DH is having a better week this week. :hug:

Thanks Lisa. :hug:

I woke up really tired this morning! :( We did a lot of running around yesterday and didn't get home until late. Late to bed and up way too early. :faint:

I haven't done the Walk Away the Pounds workout in a couple of days. :blush: Monday, I was too tired from the weekend and yesterday, we got home too late. I did walk a mile yesterday evening though. At least it's something.

Today's Plan:
* school
* surveys (need 2/day)
* walk
* cut grass
* soccer
* Disney to do list

I have to get that Disney to do list done today. It includes the bills that need to be paid early, items to be packed, a cleaning schedule (gotta have a clean house before we leave!), and other misc things like stopping the mail and setting up the puppy sitting schedule. The next two weeks are going to be very busy so the sooner I can get this list done and start working on marking things off, the better. :thumbsup2

Well, I better get started on my day. The lawn mower is calling my name!:laughing: Have a wonderful Wednesday!:grouphug:

Hi there,

I'm new to WISH but I've really enjoyed reading through your journal. I think it is wonderful the way everyone here supports each other. Good luck getting your to do list done for your trip! The few weeks before leaving are always so exciting but busy too.

Tracy, I am so glad your mil's party went well! Surprise parties are tough to pull off and you did it! I am saying prayers for your dh, this vacation will be so good for him and you too. I hope he is doing a bit better.:goodvibes

I hear you on having to have a clean house before you leave for vacation. I am the same way. I can't think of anything worse than coming home depressed to be gone from Disney and having to face a messy house!

.4 is a good loss. Don't throw out that scale! I know its tough though. Boy do I know!:rolleyes1

Tracy! oh my goodness!!! you are down to 16 days!!! :banana::banana:

I am so excited for you. You are really in that "Disney is near, I can't wait" timeframe. Girl, get that list done. :woohoo:

Did you get your mowing done? seems no sooner do we get it done here, than it's time to do it again.

Did you get a walk in also? I'm not sure, but don't you push mow? I think that might count for something. :thumbsup2
