Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Thanks ladies. :grouphug: We had a great time at the zoo yesterday!:goodvibes

I finally got a good night's sleep in! Almost 9 hours straight!:banana: I feel much better today. :goodvibes

Today, we're going out on a couple of jobs with my DH and running some errands. We'll meet my parents for dinner @ 6:00 p.m. and then come home for a Disney meeting (kids' request) and game night. We'll probably play Disney Monopoly. ;)

I didn't count points yesterday. I gave myself the day off. Today, I need to get back OP.

That's about all from here...We're getting ready to head out so I will try and get to journals later. Have a wonderful weekend!:grouphug:

Tracy, I understand about the sleep issues. Nothing seems more frustrating as a sleepless night. I'm happy to hear that you finally got a good night's sleep.

Hope you had a good Saturday and make this a great week!

Thanks Denise. :hug:

Not a good weekend as far as points go. :( Spent most of the weekend having a pity party concerning my weight, my clothes, how I look, e.t.c. I'm trying not to dwell on it though. It's a new week with new choices. I just have to take this day by day.

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Workout
* Library
* Laundry

My goals for February are similar to the ones in January.

1. 14 NO Buy Days
2. 14 Workouts
3. $39.66 at Rewards Program (Make Super Member!)

Today won't be a no buy day because I have some ECBs that will expire at CVS. I'll be spending less than $2.00 out of pocket though and will be buying something we need so it's all good. :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Hey Tracy, its okay to have a pity party sometimes. You had your moment but got right back into the mindset of "this is what I need to do and its a new day" and that's how you get it all done! I so relate to how you feel sweetie, we are the same size and its a long haul but I know we can do it. It just gets a bit overwhelming sometimes. :hug:

You can make February's goals!:cheer2:

So glad you had fun at the zoo and got some sleep. :goodvibes

It's OK to have those ho-hum, woe is me days. As long as you get over them! :goodvibes

Your goals look good for Feb! And I think a $2 day is pretty darn close to a no buy day, in my book! ;)

Hi Tracy:wave:
I hope you had a good day and that this week is better for you than last week. I hear you on the stress and lack of sleep. Welcome to my world, I really wished you didn't have to join me here though. It's not a fun place. 9 hours of sleep is good though an I really, really hope this week is better for you. Don't worry about the weight gain (yeah, easy right?) but as Amy said, stress really does you in physically. You'll be fine. :hug:

Don't you just love ECBs from CVS? I do.:love:

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

I stayed within my points range last night and didn't use any Flex points. I'm kind of surprised that I was able to do that because I accidentally skipped breakfast yesterday. When I skip breakfast, I usually make up the calories later on in the day. Not yesterday though. Small victory!:cheer2:

I'm re-reading two books right now: I Can Do This Diet by Don Colbert (Excellent book! Lots of good info!) and Body Clutter by Marla Cilley (good book! looks at the whys behind weight loss). I'm re-reading the first book because there is so much good information in there, that I need to re-read it for it to stick. I read the second book a year ago and I am re-reading it and journaling the answers to their questions.

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Walk at the mall
* Work for DH
* Finish laundry

That's about all from here. Have a great day!:grouphug:

Body Clutter, huh? Interesting title! I hope they are helpful to you. :goodvibes

Great job staying within points! I know how hard it is to skip breakfast - it just throws you off whack for the rest of the day. :confused3

Tracy, I have it on my list to buy or borrow that one book (the one you pm'd me about which I think is the first one you mentioned on this post) I need a good book to help motivate me! If you like it, I bet I will.

Great job staying on points. I am the same way, if I skip breakfast I normally will find those points and a few more by days end. So good good for you!

I hope today has been a good one for you.:goodvibes

Hi Tracy
I hope you had a good day yesterday.

Wonderful job on staying within points.:goodvibes I am the same way also. Let me miss a meal and I am off for the rest of the day. :confused3 I also get grouchy.

Hey Wish sis, hope yesterday was a good one! I'll check back with you later (but in case I don't get back on my computer, just wanted to stop by and say hi!).:goodvibes

Hey Tracy. Hang in there girl! Sounds like you've jumped into February with a vengence! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your friendship and support. :hug:

Glad you were able to add some fun into your schedule again. Sounds like the mall/zoo and dinner were just a great choice!

Disney meeting and Disney monopoly - fun night! Hope it was a good meeting - and that you enjoyed dinner with your folks

new week, new choices - exactly - each day we get a fresh start :) isn't that awesome?

I saw you listed your Feb goals, hope you reach them!

I read Body Clutter - that's from the Fly Lady girl and her friend right?

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

Yesterday was a tough day for me. :( I've been reading the book, Body Clutter, and have been journaling the answers to the questions at the end of each chapter. It has been a good process to get all of the "junk" out on paper, but it has been a highly emotional one as well. Later on today, I will start reading about the baby steps.

Today's Plan (Thursday):

* Homeschooling
* Workout
* Work for DH
* Rewards Programs

Weigh-in is tomorrow. (Friday) I'm not sure what the scale will say. I have been staying within my points range all week (only used 1 Flex point!), but workouts have been minimal. I'll found out soon enough! ;)

Have a great day everyone!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy
Body Clutter that sounds interesting.People say that writing it all out really helps.

Good luck tomorrow on your weigh in.Keeping with the workouts can be tough when life takes over.I find that it does really help not only for calories but for motivation to keep the eating under control.

Have a great day,
Linda

getting it out is how we heal...you did good. :thumbsup2

I know it hurts sometimes - but when it isn't trapped in the corners of our minds, we can look at it, understand it, then LET IT GO -- that's where the healing comes...hugs and good job on doing such hard work

Sounds like that book is really helpful. You know you're hitting the core of what you need to hit when it brings out emotion like that. Difficult at the time, but it truly does clean a lot of clutter and then you reap the rewards.

Wow, sounds like a pretty powerful book! I hope you are able to get some constructive advice from it. :goodvibes

I hope today is a happier day for you! :wizard:

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

I read Body Clutter either last year or the year before. It was a good book back then, but I wasn't "ready" to address the questions that they asked. I knew it might come in handy at some point and decided to file it away in my memory banks for a later day.

That later day was yesterday.

What really helps about the book is that both ladies talk from the heart and they are honest; brutally honest! Their examples and the questions they asked led me to do a lot of serious thinking and writing. It felt good to get all of that "junk" out, but I am still pretty tired even today. :faint:

My DH has an extra job that needs to be done this evening and I might go with him if my MIL will watch the girls for awhile. Maybe I'll even get dinner out of the deal. ;)

Weigh-in is tomorrow....I'm hoping to see a loss, even if it's just a teeny tiny one. Of course I would take a bigger weight loss too!:lmao:

Have a great afternoon, ladies!:grouphug:
