Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Congrats on the gift card! :thumbsup2 I hope you are able to get the rest you need soon. :wizard:

Hi Tracy
:woohoo: on ordering the gift card. That is such a great feeling.

Sorry you aren't sleeping well. I can so relate. I have this movie that I just love, but if I can't go to sleep, I put it on low and normally within 10 minutes I'm asleep. The sound is very even throughout the movie and is very relaxing.

Sounds like you definitely need to take it easy for a day. Bad enough to not have energy and worse to drain yourself even more.

Tracy, I hope you get some rest soon! TOM and insomnia always went hand in hand for me.

Great job and congrats on the gift card!:cool1:

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

I didn't get much sleep last night either. That's okay though. The sun is shining and it's Wednesday!:banana:

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Workout
* Walk at the mall?
* Library

I can't wait for spring! I am so looking forward to our nightly walks as a family. Great conversation and very relaxing! :)

Yesterday was our first no buy day in awhile. We had some unexpected expenses come up last week that were unavoidable. :( I won't make my goal this month, but I will certainly try again next month!

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

No sleep? Maybe you need to try a few relaxing techniques before you go to bed. Something to just let your mind unwind, like a cup of hot tea, a hot foot bath, lighting a lavendar scented candle for 1/2 before bed. Just anything that can get your body relaxing and your mind uncluttered (for the night).

As for your no buy days....don't worry about not making the goal. Look at all you saved financially and stress-wise by not buying as often and planning better when you did buy. Things come up that we can't avoid, so you have to measure how well you aside from that fact. Measure the things you can control. I think you were still very successful this month.:goodvibes

I hope the rest of the week goes better for you.

Oh! Could you please send the sun this way? We are looking at snow again.:sad2:

But you tried.... and that is a step in the right direction. and see, you have a great attitude about it and trying again next month. :goodvibes

YAY!!!! for the sun!

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

Goal #2 is accomplished!!!:woohoo: Just got workout # 12 in for the month!:banana: I guess 2/3 goals aren't too bad. ;) Really want the no buy one next month too. ::yes::

School is done for the day and I need to get ready to run errands when my DH gets home from work.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon and evening!:grouphug:

Great job on meeting your 2 goals!!! :banana: The no-buy one is difficult, but at least you are putting it on the front burner and really thinking about required purchases, which was the whole point of the goal to begin with, right??

You are doing great, keep it up! :cool1:

I'm ready for spring too....i just hate this cold weather. Family walks are a nice idea, and i'm glad you take the time to do them together -- i'm sure everyone values them

ALso, congrats on a no buy day -- yeah for completing 2 of your goals!

Tracy, good job getting that workout in!

I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.

Unexpected expenses have a way of tanking the best laid plans don't they! But you are still focusing on being disciplined and that is awesome!

I am with you, I am ready for spring. I walked outside today and it was 32 degrees, windy and dreary and I just can't believe we have at least two more months of this!:sad2:

Two out of three goals is great! And better yet, a new month is just about to start so you can go for it again.

I remember how good those spring days felt back when I lived in Chicago. It's so perfect for walking...hopefully not too far away for you.

Thanks ladies. :hug:

Yesterday was a good day. We got some things accomplished on our to do list, went to Rite Aid (spent $12 this week; get a $25 gift card + $7 in rebates so far), and then went to MIL's for Chinese food. All in all, a good day. :goodvibes

I need to start thinking about my goals for February. It's right around the corner!

Lots to do today....Grocery shopping, paperwork, homeschooling, e.t.c. I'm looking forward to getting as much done today as possible so that we can relax this weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day!:hug:

Can't wait to see what your goals are next month! Are you going to challenge yourself more?

:woohoo: on goal number two! Awesome job.

We will all be pulling for you with regards to the no buy days next month. It's really hard to do. I've thought about it a lot and we spend money almost every day even if it is just a snack at work. :sad2: I am thinking of trying a modified version. Like how many no buy days I can do, just me, not the whole family.

I'm so glad you have had a couple good days. Are you beginning to sleep better?

I am so tired. :( I was up late working on some stuff and it took me quite awhile to fall asleep. I think I had 4 hours of sleep if I'm lucky. (Sorry if my posts aren't making sense. I'm really tired! :faint: )

After homeschooling, we'll take the girls to the zoo (indoor exhibit), go to the mall, and then have dinner. After two weeks of stress, we're ready for a little fun.

Weigh-in....UGH! :( I'm up 1.8 pounds. I'm not sure why. I stayed within the points. I didn't work out as much though. Maybe that's the key.

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Tired? Is that because you were up waiting for Friday?;)

Don't worry about the gain, you are on top of things and aware which is the biggest key. You will get things back under control again.:goodvibes

Thanks for reminding me to work on goals for Feburary.

Ugh, only four hours of sleep. You must be dragging!

Don't worry too much about the gain, just step up the workouts and be proud of yourself for doing well with the food/points.

Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep! That really makes it tough to get through the day.

As for the scale, I am all for having a scale bashing party!!!! :banana:

Tracy both lack of sleep and stress can cause weight gain. Just last week on Biggest Loser Jillian was talking how stress makes your body hold onto water and also keeps your metabolism out of whack.

Once you get some of these things off your plate and get some more sleep, I am betting that 1.8 plus more will find its way back off your body! Hang in there, its not possible to lose all weeks and it doesn't mean you aren't still working hard and being successful!:hug:

I hope you guys have fun at the zoo today, you deserve a fun day!
