Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy,

Hope dh's job went well. I wondered if you were getting rained on. My brother's flight to Chicago got cancelled yesterday, the airline agent said the entire midwest and parts of Oklahoma were just getting torrents of rain left over from Erin. Hope you dried out!

You are doing great with your exercise, eating and spending. Thats a tall order and look how you are just making it happen!:thumbsup2 Love your idea of the sticker charts for the girls. Your trip is so close. Definitely add the hopper option and do MGM. Your girls would love that and Fantasmic is such a great show. And you have to go to Sci Fi and Prime Time when you do go. I didn't know RNRC was going down, I wonder if its down for our late October trip. If it is, I may just keep that to myself, the kids will be crushed!

Keep up your good work and thanks as always for the support you give my journal! And the scale will come down, as you say in good time. Very frustrating I know!

I love the idea with the stickers and extra chores!

think we are having the same rain storm--its been raining since yesterday morning and doesnt look liike it will stop all day today--a good day to stay in pajamas!!

Hope you are having a good Tuesday!

The past 24 hours were just as challenging as Sunday. :( My DH went onsite to a job yesterday and couldn't complete the job because it was raining so hard. He came home 6 hours later very frustrated and wet. :( We're also experiencing some issues with my mom's car. My DH thinks that the problem is the thermostat so he will try and replace it either today or tomorrow. We've still having attitude problems with the girls too. Sad It's been a long week so far and it's only Tuesday! :eek: Prayers for my DH's work, my mom's car, and our girls would be much appreciated. :grouphug:

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Workout

* Library

* Dollar Store

That's about all from rain soaked Ohio. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday! :grouphug:

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Tuesday Morning

Day 27

1. Fitness: 23 workouts totaling 951 minutes

2. Food: salad: 24 days; 19 days of no eating before bed

3. Freeze: 18 days Total amount spent: $140

Hi Tracy,

I hope things work out with the job and car. I think it must be the weather. There is a majot outbreak of bad attitudes amongst WISHers' DD.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Tracy,

So sorry that on top of everything else you have issues with Mom's car! Car issues are so stressful, between the cost and worry of needing reliable transportation, it just hits hard every time. I will keep that car in my prayers. And tell those girls to be nice for you, otherwise you are going to take me to WDW instead of them! I'll also keep dh's job woes in my prayers, are you still getting rain? Send some here, we need it!

Hang in there, maybe the rest of the week will improve, I hope so!:hug: Remember to take some time for you too okay?!?

Thanks Amy and Beth.:hug:

Yesterday was a tough day too, but today is looking much better!:goodvibes

Today's Plan:

* Workout (DONE 65 minutes weights/abs)

* Homeschool

* Lunch for MIL's Birthday at the Cheesecake Factory (never been there)

* Soccer

* Trip to the Dollar Store

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Wednesday Morning

yum! I love cheesecake factory! Do not be afraid to share stuff, the portions are HUGE! And good for you for getting the workout out of the way. I love doing it in the morning, so I don't have to worry about :)

:cheer2: Keep up the amazing work on your goals. You are a rock star :cheer2:

Oh man, I LOVE the Cheesecake Factory! Hope your lunch was really fun and not doubt it was yummy! Great job on getting that workout in first thing, that's awesome. You are doing so well on your 50 Day Countdown Goals! Be really proud of yourself, you deserve to be!:thumbsup2

Hey Tracy - sorry I haven't checked in in a while. :confused3 I can TOTALLY relate to DD's with bad attitudes!! Mine JUST got grounded for yet another week!! :mad:

You are doing amazing on the 50 day challenge!! The workouts, the eating and the Freeze....you should be proud of yourself!!

keep it up woman~ you are rockin!!
marie

And the frustration continues.....:sad1:

My DH was not able to fix the car last night so he will need to do that first thing this morning. Once it's fixed, he has two jobs to get done today that require 6 hours of travel. Not only that, but my DD5 has soccer practice at 6:30 p.m. which he needs to be there for.

After today, here is what the schedule looks like:

Friday: DH works in Columbus. Four hour drive round trip.

Saturday: Two soccer games in the morning; DH deejays in the evening.

Sunday; Church, ?

Monday or Tuesday: DH works in Columbus again and then travels to KY; driving home the same day.

In addition to the above schedule, my DH has an ongoing project that needs to be completed before we leave for Florida. It is an easy project, but a very time consuming one. He's planning on starting it next week.

All the busyness with work is good, but means one thing....a huge time crunch over the next few weeks. Everything (including final trip preparations) will need to revolve around my DH's schedule which is jam packed with stuff to do. I am praying that God will give us both the strength to get through these next few weeks. We certainly don't want to be burned out before we go to Florida. :(

Today's Plan: (Besides muddling through the day ;) )

* Homeschool

* Workout (will need this to fight stress)

* Soccer practice

* Clean the house

* An afternoon nap (hopefully)

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Thursday Morning

Day 29

1. Fitness: 26 workouts totaling 1056 minutes (not yet)

2. Food: salad: 25 days; 20 days of no eating before bed (no change; bad day yesterday)

3. Freeze: 19 days Total amount spent: $140+ $60 (Cheesecake Factory)

On a more positive note, our first time eating at the Cheesecake Factory went quite well. I had shrimp scampi and steak Diane and it was good! Of course we had cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious! I was kind of shocked at the prices, but the food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy,

I certainly hope you got that nap in. Do you frequently suffer from insomnia?

I am glad you enjoyed your lunch. Yes, it can be expensive, but Yum-O. Can you tell I watch Rachel Ray?

I hope things work out with scheduling and transportation for you guys. As for getting stuff done for the trip. Meijer is open 24/7. Even if everything isn't perfect, you'll have a great time.

Hope you get some sleep tonight,
Beth

Hi Tracy, sounds like life is busy, busy, busy for you guys! Has the rain stopped? Saw something about all the washed out houses in Ohio and thought of my Wish Sis! Just take a deep breath, maybe prioritize what needs to be done. Whatever doesn't, probably wasn't that important to begin with! I love Cheesecake Factory, but I agree, its not cheap. Which is probably why I haven't been there in a couple of years. I keep saying I should just go in for cheesecake. But then again, maybe not! Hang in there, it will all be fine, don't let the stress get in the way of that pre WDW excitement!!!

Good morning friends,

I feel much better after 7.5 hours of sleep.:goodvibes Don't know why I couldn't sleep a couple of nights ago.:confused3 Probably too much stress. :(

The car seems better now. DH finally got it finished around 6:00 p.m. He had to bleed the line today to get the air out, but he seems to think the overheating issues are fixed. We'll see. ;)

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Workout (mow the grass)

* Straighten the house up

* Finish laundry (Dryer messed up; have to put on the clothesline)

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Friday Morning

Day 30

1. Fitness: 26 workouts totaling 1056 minutes (not yet)

2. Food: salad: 25 days; 20 days of no eating before bed (no change)

3. Freeze: 20 days Total amount spent: $200

My DH and I are thinking about doing a cleanse again. This one is a 90 day all natural cleanse that works gently and gradually on your system to get rid of the toxins that have accumulated over the years. My DH's aunt who was treated for colon cancer a few years ago, used this program and said it worked very well. My one concern is that we would be doing the cleanse during vacation and free dining. I've done a lot of research into the products and they're not supposed to interfere with your day to day activities too much. You can eat normally, but they encourage you to make healthier choices. It does cost about $300 for a month and a half supply for 2 people so we'll have to see....They recommend an inital 90 day cleanse and then a 30 day cleanse once a year after that.

I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but........

We got our final documents from Disney yesterday!:banana: :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2: We are very excited!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

It is now officail. TRACY'S GOING TO WDW!.

If you want to do a cleanse, I would suggest doing it after the trip. That way you are able to enjoy all the foods you want on your trip, and not worrying where the bathrooms are. Of course, you have children, so you will be making frequent breaks anyways.

Great job on your goals. I am glad that the car got fixed.

Have a great weekend.
Beth

WOOHOOOOOO for gettng the final documents!! YAY!!

You are SO busy--try to take SOME tme to relax--you dont want to be exhausted for vacation!!!

Ahh, the final documents have arrived! Mickey is ready for your family! I agree with Beth, maybe think about doing that cleanse when you get home. Although if you can eat normally, it might not make much difference.

You are doing great with those goals, keep it up! And I am glad your dh got mom's car fixed. What a handy guy to have around!!

Have a great weekend, hope you have some time to rest and relax!

Good morning friends,

The past couple of days have been kind of rough. We have had a lot going on and I have been stressed to the max!:eek: The week ahead looks to be pretty busy so we'll just try and take things one day at a time.

DD6 and DD5 had their first soccer games of the season yesterday. DD5 did well. She stayed with the ball at all times, but for some reason, she still fears the ball. DD6 played her first game with a goalie. She did an amazing job scoring 3 of the teams 6 goals yesterday. She is a natual athlete. I'm proud of both of my girls! :hug:

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Sunday Morning

Day 32

1. Fitness: 26 workouts totaling 1056 minutes (I've got to kick this up a notch!)

2. Food: salad: 26 days; 21 days of no eating before bed

3. Freeze: 20 days Total amount spent: $205

The goals are not going as well as I would have liked. I've been thinking about stopping the challenge all together, but then realized that something is better than nothing....right? ;)

Hope everyone has a great Sunday! :grouphug:

Tracy,

I disagree with your comment about possibly stopping the challenge you made for yourself...I think you've done great!! Look at all of those exercise minutes!! Can you imagine where you would be without having worked out practically every day for a month, and having not ate before bed sooo many nights? I think you've done great and think that you should maintain your challenge and see how well you can finish :)

Hope the stress level goes down for you this week...have a good one!

Hi Tract,

I agree with Scott. You have done a great job with your goals. You have posted over 1000 minutes so far. You cannot expect to be perfect 24/7. Keep on going. You are doing really well.

I'm so glad that your DDs had fun at soccer. You should be a proud Momma.

Have a good week,
Beth

:hug: Tracy..you have done SOOOO well!!!! Please don't give up on your goal. You really have NOTHING to be ashamed of! Hang in there...I know the weeks can get stressful but you'll handle things like you always do! :)

Have a good week ahead! And congrats to your DDs for having super soccer games this weekend!!!:goodvibes
