You sound busy tracy!! Happy birthday to DD!!!

Dont worry too much about the weight gain--do what you can..

hang in there!

Hello friends,

Let me start with the blessings of the weekend:

:thumbsup2 My DD4's birthday party went very well. Everyone had a good time and stayed for quite awhile. It was so nice of everyone to come and bless her special day.

:thumbsup2 My mom seems to be doing better.

:thumbsup2 My DH has some good opportunities on the horizon.

:thumbsup2 We (my DH and I ) are getting on the same page about things. Makes life easier. :goodvibes

Now, for the prayer requests for the week:

* My SIL is pregnant and found out on Friday that something may be wrong with the baby. She has an appointment this morning for further details. Please pray.

* My DH called the place where he interviewed and they said that they are still deciding and that the job has not been filled yet. Please pray.

* We are meeting with a financial advisor on Thursday to see what we can do about our situation. Please pray.

Today's Plan:

* Laundry

*eBay

* Work for DH

* Work 5-9:30 p.m.

That's all for today! Have a great day! :sunny:

P.S. I did start working out again today.... It feels good to get back in the groove, but I will probably be sore tomorrow.

Hi Tracy, good work on the exercise and everything, guess its time for us to get things going again. I did some friday too, wasn't too sore the next day. Best WISHes and prayers for all of you.
:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

Tracy, I will definitely keep your sil in my prayers, I really hope it all turns out well. And it sounds like things are still alive and well with that job possibility, I'll keep praying he gets the position! You mention your mom is better, has she been sick? I hope she continues to improve.

I am so glad your daughter's birthday went well. Its always so great to have a fun, special occasion to bring family together. Good for you exercising, you are getting back on track!

And that is great, great, news that you and your husband are coming together with all of this. Many times these hard times can bring a couple even closer when its all said and done. I hope the financial advisor can help you guys, that is their business, believe me they've seen worse. Hang in there, I think things are on the upswing for you! :grouphug:

Warning! Vent ahead!

Hello friends,

Today has been a very long and very sad day for us. My SIL's baby passed away. :sad1: The doctors said on Friday that they could not detect a heartbeat and they confirmed it today. She was around 16 weeks pregnant. Please keep her and her husband and family in your thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Today is the first time in my life that I have seen my DH so discouraged about everything: work, finances, e.t.c. He has been my rock for so many years and now he is struggling. I would really appreciate your prayers for him. We need a huge blessing right now. :sad1:

I am struggling too. I don't understand why we have to go through this. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what we have done wrong or what we could do to fix this.... I'm stumped. :confused3 My DH is questioning every decision he has ever made. He is questioning why as well. Neither of us are coming up with answers. He has tried so hard.....

I'm sorry for the depressing post tonight. Right now, I have the beginnings of a migraine and not much hope. :sad1:

Tracy, I am so sorry about your sister in law's baby. That is so sad to lose a baby that late in the pregnancy and I hope and pray that she and the rest of the family get through this difficult time.

I think your husband and you are entitled to ask the tough questions. You have been through a rough patch and this latest tragedy just compounds all of this. With each other, your families, and your faith in God, you will get through this but clearly its not easy or quick to do so.

I am really praying for all of your family. They say God never gives us more than we can handle but sometimes we all wonder. We wouldn't be human if we didn't. Please know that we all care and are pulling for you. Hang in there Tracy, this too shall pass. :grouphug:

Tracy - so sorry to hear the sad news of your SILs baby :(
My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family
Hope you & DH can feel more positive soon,
I know i can tell you to count your blessings - health, lovely children,
being together... etc
but i know its hard to accept when your feeling so low.
I pray you & DH can pull together & ride these hard times out.

Thanks Amy and Tracey. :grouphug: I hope you know how much I appreciate you and your encouragement and support. :grouphug: Thank you.

I woke up this morning feeling a bit better than yesterday. Yesterday was a tough day. :sad1: I am hoping that with a new day, new opportunities arrive and new blessings to go with it. :goodvibes My DH does have a side job that he will be working on this week so that is a blessing and I'm off until Friday so I can start eBaying some stuff and that is a blessing too.

Last night, we decided that we are going to work really hard in August and September and see if we can earn enough money to take our Disney trip in September. Since my DH is a temp at his job, he could take a one week leave of absence and then return to work the following week. Since I am only working 2 days a week myself, I don't think taking the time off will be a problem either. We both really need a vacation. Maybe some time away from everything to think. The girls could use some fun as well. :goodvibes Plus, this would give us some incentive to get up and work hard each day and not get overwhelmed by all the yucky stuff that has happened in the last few months...... The good thing is that even if we don't make enough money to make the September trip, we can use the money towards December's trip. In any event, this gives us some motivation that we could most certainly use right now. :Pinkbounc

So today, I am going to start cleaning the house and listing stuff on eBay. I'm also going to schedule some catalog parties with friends and family members as well. I'm also going to e-mail family and friends and see if they have any jobs that we can do or if they have anything that they would like sold on eBay. It's a start.....Maybe, I will even have another garage sale to earn some money. I'm going to spend the rest of the morning brainstorming ideas..... If anyone has any, please feel free to share! :goodvibes

Today's Plan:

* Brainstorm

* Clean

* eBay

* Laundry (this evening)

* Workout (even if it's only for a few minutes)

That's all for today..... I will try and get to some journals while I am brainstorming. Have a great day! :sunny:

P.S. Please keep my SIL, her husband, and their family in your prayers. :grouphug:

Tracy: Go to WDW in September! I know that is maybe not the soundest financial advice but sometimes you have to pay into a life before paying off a bill or even saving. And I am a big believer in travelling and getting away whenever humanly possible. Taking that trip will recharge you, you guys have earned it and then some. As you say, if nothing else you can take the $$$ and spend it in December.

I am glad your husband has a side job and good luck with ebaying! I am praying for your family to get to take this vacation because you deserve it and I am definitely keeping your sister in law and family in my prayers.

Hi Tracy! :wave:

I'm glad you're feeling better today. I think you've got a great plan in place for September--I really hope it works out for you guys!

Lots of :grouphug: and :wizard: for you!

Have a great night!

Thanks Amy and pearlieq!

We need to make our decision regarding Florida by tomorrow evening. My DH is all for it, but I guess I am the one holding back a bit. I know that we can come up with they money for the trip. We are both willing to work extra hard to make it happen. It's funny because yesterday, I was doing some research for my DH and found that Florida is swamped (pardon the pun ;) ) with jobs in both fields he works in! He's thinking about maybe applying for a couple of jobs and seeing what happens.... He is definitely frustrated with all that is going on (or not going on as the case may be) here in Ohio. The economy here is not very good at least in Northeast Ohio. :sad2: It would be very hard to leave our family and friends though.... We're just thinking preliminarily... Nothing serious and no major decisions yet....

Today's plan is the same as yesterday's... I got nothing done yesterday! :blush: As soon as I logoff here, I'm going to go for a walk... I need to get back on track with exercise! :yay:

Well friends, I am off for the day. Please keep those prayers, good thoughts, and :wizard: coming.... We have many decisions to make in the next few days.

Have a great day! :sunny:

September sounds like a great, motivating plan, Tracy!

Hopefully things will work out. I'm praying things improve for your DH & all your family.

Try to hang in there. God is still in control (but sometimes you've got to wonder if he's on vacation!!)

Have a great Wednesday!!

I'm going to say it again, go! If you husband is for it, take his lead and go with it! And thats too funny, Dan and I frequently think of moving to Flordia or somewhere in the southeast. We both hate cold weather and once this sad, long, saga with my mother is finally over, we will need a fresh start. So we too, think about relocating. I hope today is a good one, I am keeping you in my prayers and hoping everything works out! :grouphug:

Hi friends,

Well, we have finally decided..... We're not going to WDW in September. My DH and I thought it out and talked it out and we decided to cancel the trip. It was hard, but we still have December to look forward too! :thumbsup2

I did manage to get a 45 minute walk in this morning.... Whew! I have been exhausted since.

Emily's homeschool stuff has started to arrive. They give you a lot of good stuff! She is very excited! :Pinkbounc

Hope everyone has a great evening! More tomorrow! :wave:

Hi Tracy,

Just checking in on you. I'm sorry you guys are going through tough times again. I am very proud and impressed with the decision to not go to WDW. I know being frugal is a drag but in the end it will help you guys get out of the hole by not creating any more debt. I know the ups and downs have been very frustrating for your family for the last few years. I pray you guys are headed in a more positive direction so the stress can lessen in your life. Happy belated birthday to your little girl. Until the next time I check in on you, take care.:grouphug:

Thanks wilderness! It's good to see you! :goodvibes I have to admit that the decision was not an easy one, but my DH and I weighed all of the pros and cons and decided that we would aim for December's annual trip instead because that gives us more time to get back on track financially and because we would be staying for two weeks. (It is still a budget trip though.) My DH has some great opportunities on the horizon so we are praying that the blessings start to flow financially. :goodvibes

Today looks to be a busy day. I have laundry to finish, eBay to start, garage saleing, and soccer practice tonight. The weather may not cooperate for our first soccer practice though. If that's the case, then maybe we'll take the kids out for dinner. We'll see what happens.

I really need to get back on track as far as this healthy living journey goes. Exercise and eating healthy have definitely been on the back burner. I did weigh myself this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that I am at 209.3. With all of the terrible food choices that I have made in the past month, I figured I would be up to about 217-218. Whew!

I will be brainstorming today and may come up with some new goals for the upcoming weeks.

Hope everyone has a blessed day! :sunny:

Hi Tracy, congrats on not gaining. I'm in the same boat, not doing much to get better, but not getting worse either. Sorry about your Sept. trip (ours too :sad1: ), but the Dec. trip sounds exciting. I'd like to drag the family down for MVMCP, we'll see.

Still sending pixiedust: your way on the jobs, its sure no fun when things aren't settled.
:sunny: :goodvibes pirate:

Good morning friends,

Yesterday's soccer practice went very well! All of the girls are very excited about playing soccer and many of them already know each other. :goodvibes

I'm not going to workout today because I have to work tonight and that involves standing, cleaning, facing, and vaccuming a large portion of the store. That's a workout in and of itself.;)

My DH is doing a side job today and will be calling about the 3rd shift job he interviewed for 2 weeks ago. Prayers and :wizard: are much appreciated! I do have to say that he does have some great opportunities on the horizon. You can pray, send good thoughts, and :wizard: for those opportunities as well. We don't mind. ;) We'll take all the prayers, good thoughts, and :wizard: we can get. ::yes::

Today's Plan:

* Finish :laundy: (almost done!)

* Take a nice, relaxing bath :cloud9:

* eBay.... I'm motivated!

* Work 5-9:30 p.m.

* Disney Meeting with DH and Kids tonight

That's all for today! Next week, I will have to work on getting my DD5's homeschool area set up. Her materials are arriving daily and so far, theya re sitting in a huge heap on the kitchen table. :upsidedow Her computer should be arriving any day now, too.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :sunny: This weekend, we 'll be seeing double at the annual Twins Days Festival! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hi, Tracey!
Sending prayers and pixiedust on DH's job situation. We are in much the same boat with DH waiting to hear back on this week's interview, so you and I will share :goodvibes: and pixiedust: :hug:
Thank you so much for your support in my journal, friend. It means so much to me and I so often go back and read my WISH friends' supportive postings there just to keep myself motivated and on-track. So your warm and fuzzy and often funny posts are a huge part of what brings me here.
BTW, I think you are right -- scales should just be on :fish: and NOT on our bathroom floors, taunting us each morning!
Have a great time with your Disney meeting. How FUN! I'd bet the girls LOVE being part of the planning process.
BTW, I was thinking how great it would be if there were someone around here like you who sells stuff on ebay on consignment. I have drawers and closets FULL of stuff to be sold. UGH!
Have a great day and an awesome weekend!

Wow Tracy! You never cease to amaze me!!! Look at all you are juggling and still remain the cheerful, wonderful, positive person we all love!!! I have to thank you for all your support over the past few months AND let you know that I am thinking about you and your DH as he continues in his job hunt!!!

You really are doing such a fabulous job! Such an inspiration! :grouphug:
