Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy, Happy Anniersary. I hope today is a good one for you, sometimes when you least expect it a good day can find you! I understand about the bittersweet thing, our anniversary fell last week, the day after we put our dog down and that plus our job uncertainty didn't make for a great day. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that you can go to WDW in September, if not then at least you have your December trip. TOM gets harder as we get older I think and that too shall pass (until next month ;) ). Hang in there, you will get through all of this and be stronger for it!

Hi Tracy! :wave: Happy Anniversary!! 10 years is a great milestone. Just let it all go and have a good day, will ya?!?!?!
:grouphug: :banana: :banana: :banana:
Best Wishes for you DH's job. Hopefully they won't make you wait that long.

Happy Anniversary, Tracy! So glad DH's interview went well. I hope good things come to you and your family very soon. :goodvibes: :hug:

Happy Anniversary! pixiedust:

I am glad DH's interview went well and those 2-3 weeks will be done before you know it. It is hard waiting, but you can do it. Try and stay busy.

Don't feel down about your September trip. The big milestone anniversary/birthday's never seem to work out for us so we end up with big celebrations on different years. How about a WDW trip for 11 years? Or maybe DMIL would watch the kids overnight next month and you and DH can celebrate your anniversary and his starting a wonderful new job (gotta keep up the positive thinking!) :grouphug:

Amy, Don, Cam, and Anna~

I thank God for friends like you! You are all so supportive and encouraging. I hope you know how much I appreciate you and value your friendship. :grouphug: Thank you.

Well friends, I had a major meltdown tonight. The stress is too much for me to handle right now. I know that I can give it God and I have, but I keep taking it back. Why? Because I don't like life being so out of my control. :( In my head, I know that I can give all of this over to Him and let Him deal with it. I also know that He will do a much better job than either DH or I could. It is still a challenge though to get my heart to listen.

Tomorrow, DH and I will be going out for a couple of hours. Nothing big. Just sometime without the kids where we can talk (hopefully not argue!) and maybe think of some solutions to this money thing. Plus, we'll be buying some of DD3's presents from the Dollar Store. (I get a 10% discount for working there!)

Thanks friends for sticking with me. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, life will get back on track and I can be Positive Polly again instead of Negative Nelly....

Have a great Friday! :sunny:

Hi Tracy, sorry you had a bad day. It must be something in the air, I had a meltdown too. I hope you have a nice couple of hours off with your husband tomorrow, you guys really need that. Just keep hanging in there, this too shall pass (I know, easy for me to say). You are in my prayers friend :grouphug: .

Hope you & DH have a lovely time together & happy anniversary!
Hopefully time will fly by & you will get the good news your hoping for regarding DH job.
Try to stay positive, the stress will pass, just keep telling yourself this & let it sail by.
Hope you have a great weekend :)
My thoughts are with you

Tracey -- I hope you and DH enjoy your time together today. And don't worry, we love you whether you are having a Polly day or a Nelly day.
Take care of yourself! :hug:

Hi Tracey,

So sorry for everything that you have been going through....keep your head up....it will get better. I read that you had to cancel you WDW in sept...sorry to hear that too....At least you still have your trip in December to look forward too.

Sending good thoughts and prayers for your DH job situation....keeping your family in my thoughts. Also wanted to WISH you a Happy Anniversary...sorry it's late!

As I said before, keep your head up, it will get better.

Have a great evening:)

Defnitely something was in the air Thursday. I blew up at the kids too. Hang in there. :grouphug: Things are bound to turn around for you all soon. :wizard: It is quite alright to be Nelly here. It only makes Polly that much more special.

I hope you and DH had some nice quality time together friday night and are enjoying a more peaceful and relaxing weekend.

Take care.

Hi!

Just checking in to see how you're doing. We're all entitled to the occasional meltdown. You've certainly been carrying your fair share of stress! Nelly is just as much a part of you as Polly, and sometimes she needs to get out!

I hope you and DH had a nice outing and a good talk. Some quiet time together is definitely a blessing.

Take care! :sunny:

Hi Tracy,

I hope your weekend was a good one and that you had a nice anniversary. Just keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and I know better times are just around the corner! Take care of you! :sunny:

Hi friends,

Boy have I been struggling the past few days! We had a great time at dinner on Friday and at the Irish Fest on Friday evening. After that, the weekend kind of went downhill. Today was a much better day though.

I think that most of the stress in my life has been caused by me. The circumstances that we are currently dealing with are out of our control and by trying to control them, I am causing myself and my family to be stressed. My DH and I are trying to take steps in the right direction and we are almost on the same page right now. We'll have to make some tough decisions in the next few months, but God will pull us through.

My DD3's birthday is on Thursday and her party is on Sunday so I think that we will focus on that for the week. Once the party is over, I can start thinking about healthy living again. Right now, it's one thing at a time.

Thanks WISH friends for sticking with me. I appreciate your encouragement and support. :grouphug:

Tracy, it sounds like you are coming to terms with this stress. Long lasting stress is something very difficult to deal with, not like when we have something that is incredibly stressful but will be over with soon. When you have this sort of thing for years, it takes a toll! And nothing in life can really prepare you for dealing with it. As women and mothers, I think we tend to be the fixers, the ones who think we have to make it all better, whereas men seem to be better able to muddle through and put it on the back burner more often. My husband is better at accepting things (or denying them depending on how you look at it ;) ) than I am and often I actually envy his ability to do that! Don't think of it as you "causing" the stress but rather just that in trying so hard to make it all better, you are wearing yourself out! And you are right, you can't change the circumstances, only how you deal with them. Just knowing and realizing that is a big step! You are doing so much for your family, plus you have started back to work which is a big adjustment in itself. You are doing a great job! I hope your daughter has a great birthday this week. Healthy living will be waiting for you next week when the time is right for you! :grouphug:

Ditto what Amy said so perfectly :thumbsup2 . Have a wonderful time for your DD's birthday and enjoy the moment. We will be here when you are ready. Take care.

Good morning friends,

Today is my baby's 4th birthday! Happy Birthday!! The girls started off the day by getting up super early. We are having DD3's (oops I mean DD4 :teeth: ) birthday party at my MIL's tonight and I hope that the girls have enough steam to get through it. They are usually not up this early.

I am getting very frustrated with my lack of exercise and my wieght gain. I don't know how much I have gained, but it's at least 8-10 pounds.

Today's Plan:

* Chuck E Cheese

* DH has 3 appts.

* Birthday Party tonight

* eBay?

We are still waiting to hear about the job my DH interviewed for. Prayers and good thoughts are appreciated! :goodvibes

Hi Tracy,

Happy Birthday to your daughter! I remember my "baby's" 4th, we went to Chuck E. Cheese's too. And Chuck E. Cheese pizza isn't that bad I think, its not as thick crusted, cheese and greasy as say Pizza Hut. And they do have salad bar too. Don't worry about this weight gain. What you are going through is tough and sometimes now eating right is better than other things you could be doing to overcome that stress. I am still praying your husband gets that job. Hang in there, you can and will lose the weight when the time is right! Have a really fun day with family! :sunny:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your DD :)
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Happy Birthday to your DD :bday: and hope you had a great day.

Don't worry about the exercise and weight gain. You know what to do and will get back to it when things calm down. Just focus on you and your family right now. Still sending lots of P & PD for your family :wizard: . Hang in there.
