Toys R Us Reward Dollars

I received an email this weekend with my R' Rewards dollars from spending so much over the month of December. I received $50 all together and a coupon for a free Leapster Explorer game.

We went to Toys R Us last night and my DD 4 was going to get the Leapster game and my DS 8 was going to get a Wii game. Luckily I looked at the ten $5 coupons they emailed me and noticed that I could only use five of them the first two weeks of Jan. and the next five the second two weeks in Jan. (which I was a little disappointed about).

So he picked out a Wii game for $25 and I went to pay with my Reward coupons and the check-out guy would not let me use all five. It is stated nowhere on the coupon that they cannot be combined with another coupon. So I asked if I am supposed to come ten times this month to use each individual $5 coupon and he said yes....nope, I asked for a manager and he let me use all five coupons at once...no questions asked.

I was a little dissappointed with the program, I really expected to get a $50 rewards card to use this month whenever I wanted, not ten $5 coupons.

You know I got mine too and was COMPLETELY disappointed that they divided them up like that. I like you thought I would get 50 bucks to spend at once. But now if I can't use 5 of them all at once I will not be a happy camper. Toys r Us is an hour away each way from where we live, I would HATE to end up wasting those reward dollars. I refuse to make that many trips to save 5 bucks. Gas alone would end up costing more.

I hate it too. It bugs me even more that I have to print them and spend my ink and paper on it. They used to mail them. I have to use 2 of mine by the 14th and I plan on using them together. Come hell or high water I will. It should be fun because the manager at my local tru is terrible. It's the only one around for miles so I suppose he can get away with it.

I got my email yesterday and mine are separated too. It's hard getting out with DD when it's this cold out, bundling her up, getting her into her car seat, but I don't want to waste free money! we'll see when I can get out to use them. Her birthday is coming up...

I got mine, a whopping $5. Even better, I got mine a week before they expired on 12/31. Just what I want to do, run to TRU the week after Christmas.

How about the fact that you can't use them on diapers? Yeesh.

Anyway, I also have a big whopping $3 that DS got for his birthday club membership so I'll see what I can use it all for...maybe some Earth's Best food/snacks.

The policies at one of our local TRU/BRU combos is awesome...the other one is lame. They're equal distance from my house so guess which one I go to?

Thank you OP!!!! I have had my rewards card for a long time but I am not that frequent of a TRU shopper. Well this Dec. I ended up shopping at TRU a lot with all their great video game sales plus we got a bike. I never even knew I had to register for them to send me my rewards!!! I would have lost them all!! I too will be complaining to the manager if I am not allowed to use them all at once. It does not state that on the coupon. Like I'm suppose to go there 10 times in the next month to use each individual coupon!

I did not look closely at my email and went today to use them. Had $47 worth so took them all down today let my child pick out 2 items that cost slightly more than that amount but figured its ok whats 4 bucks. Surprise when I could only use $25 worth of the tickets. Now we have to go back next week and use them again. That is so ridiculous. I thought it would come in a giftcard that she could use anytime. Didnt realize it would be 2 times and so close after Christmas. Not at all happy with the way they did this. I am glad I read the email cause normally I just delete the TRU emails cause I wasnt planning on go to the store for quite awhile.

I was disappointed too-we received 2 $5 coupons via email, one good through the 15th, the other good from the 16-31st. We also were planning on using them toward a larger purchase, but not now.

I will remember this when shopping time comes next year.

I know you can't use the coupons on diapers, but can you use them on baby wipes?

I took mine to Babies R Us yesterday and WAS able to use all of them (the ones that I could use for this time period) at once on a stroller... I was prepared for an argument because it does not say only one per purchase, but she just said "sure."

That is odd, I got mine in the regular mail last week. They were broken into $5 coupons too. I used my 4 all at once though with no problems.

I received 3 "coupons". 2 were to be used before the 15th and 1 after. They combined the 2 that were good now with no questions asked.

Had I known this was how the rewards stuff would have worked, I would have just kept driving to Target. I got 4 $6 coupons, 2 for now, and 2 for the end of the month. And I have to take them to the store instead of just ordering online. I probably will end up driving over 2 times, but what a pain in the head. No more TRU for me.

glad i opened this thread! I had no clue they emailed the coupons! didn't they used to mail them out to you?

and i'm super annoyed as well! I can use 4 this week and 3 next. grr.
