I was just reading on Jim Hill that there is a rumor of a Toy Story breakfast in the works. Count us in! We'd love it and I'm sure it would be a great alternative for families with boys!

My Boys would LOVE that!

I'm really disappointed how Disney has catered to the girls and pretty much abandoned the boys as far as character breakfasts.

3 different Princess breakfasts, and no Superhero breakfasts?

Hopefully this is true. I would make a special long weekend trip just to see my son's faces at a special boys type breakfast.

even though I have girls we would love to do this....something new and different!

A TS Breakfast would be a HIT with boys and girls!! I have a 3 yr old girl who LOVES Buzz! Jessie too but Buzz is her first love. Just returned from our trip and her fave was of course Buzz. We ate at CRT and Chef MIckeys and she loved both breakfast experience but wondered why she couldn't eat with Buzz. My party wondered the same thing-- I think it would be such a hit. Sign us up! ANy idea when it will arrive and where?
ps-Though I have two Princesses I have never understood why Disney doesn't offer a more "boy" themed character dining experience-- missing out on a big audience I would think!!

OOO that sounds great! They certainly need to start thinking about the boys...though I have girls I know that they would LOVE to go see Buzz...it certainly would be a hit I am sure! Hopefully they will get it in place before my trip in April...I am sure everyone on this board will keep us posted!

My Girls love Toy story, that would be an awesome breakfast!!!

What Superheros does Disney have? Just curious. A Power Rangers meal would be a great idea as well.

That would be great! Fingers crossed! My youngest loves Buzz and Woody. He has the little figures from the happy meals and he carries them everywhere!

Oh, PLEEEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE be true this time!!! Although DD6 is a princess, my DS4 would LOVE this! Just something like this for the boys- and DD would enjoy it too- especially if Jessie were there. This rumor has been floating for a couple of years, but it does seem to have more validity lately- the advertising for the sarge position for a new character meal on the disney website and now Jim Hill. I really hope so. I had a cast member from Disney Dining tell me two years ago they were getting a toy story character meal- that was two years ago. I have my fingers crossed that this time it is for real- it certainly is looking more hopeful!!!

The Incredibles! We'd also love to take the kids to a Toy Story character meail. DS has his Woody doll (that he has from middle child who got itfrom eldest child).

When I was making ADRs for our June trip the CM said she's heard rumors of a "heros" character meal and while she can't give details, she said it's been a pretty persistent rumor. She even seemed hopeful!

I believe there is one coming. Over on the Passporter boards, there is a thread w/ a link to an audition for the Sarge character from Toy Story, and the ad mentions a new character dining experience coming to MGM.

Straitlover ~ can you post a link to the Passporter board thread? Or tell me which board it is on?

That would be terrific. As much as we love the classics like Mickey, Goofy, Pooh, and Tigger, our kids would be more interested in Buzz and Woody. IMO, Pixar's real genius and the reason for their success is not the computer animation, it's the wonderful characters and great stories they've created.
I'd love to see more characters and attractions based on Monsters Inc, Toy Story, the Incredibles, etc. Disney Studios is the right place for that.

Now that we are having a boy (and just returned from WDW) I have been worrying about opportunities like this for boys.

I think Toy Story is a great idea for a breakfast. Boy-centric but appealing to girls as well. MGM is the right park, and they have a perfect venue in the Hollywood & Vine. I truly think this should be a no-brainer for Disney (just like adding Stitch to Ohana was!).

I think Toy Story is a great step in the right direction. We will definitely go with DS10 and DD9. I do hope that they try and create a boy-centric theme as well. Along the lines of the "Heroes" meal someone mentioned earlier. I am sure girls would go to something like that as well to see the heroes who go with their princesses.
