Toy Story Breakfast coming to MGM??

We're March too...even though I only have a DD (11), she would love a toy story meal...or is it me that would love it?? DH only prefers meals with Jasmine.

We are going in late May. I wonder when Disney will announce this so I can try to make an ADR. My girls will have to choose between Sci Fi or Toy Story. That will be a tough one for them I think!!

On our honeymoon back in '97 there used to be an Alladin and Jasmine character meal at MGM- the Soundstage or something- I don't remember. Was that ever turned into anything or could it go back to a restaurant?

We ate at the soundstage...it is now Playhouse Disney.

Yeah! That would be a thrill...both my girls love Toy STory 2 and we stand in ridiculously long lines to see Jessie who is near HERO status in our home. Not to mention seeing BUZZ can get really lengthy too.
MGM is desperate for a character meal...we have skipped MGM so often...that would lure us back for sure.
Hope our dreams come true!

I'm watching, too. We've only been once, but were able to see just about all the princesses. My DD would LOVE to see heros, villians, anything like that. I'm hoping for some pixie dust for late-April, early-May!

The sweetpea would really enjoy this if it happens. She is sooooo not into the princesses. Which is fine with me. A Toy Story meal would be a lot of fun and something she would look forward to. Heck, forget the sweetpea.....I would love it. I kinda got a thing for Sheriff Woody.

Yep, DH and I ate at that breakfast on our honeymoon in '95.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Toy Story character meal. My DS would love it!!

Do we know for sure which meal this will be? People are saying breakfast, but in the posting for the audition I think the wording was "character meal", which could mean anything. Don't get me wrong, MGM is sorely lacking in breakfasts! I am just curious if there has been some confirmation of breakfast or if we are just guessing.

I have not heard a apecific really, I think in past posts thee was a reference to breakfast, but not confirmed. You are right it could be any meal...for all we know it could very well be breakfast and lunch...or only dinner!
Anyay you slice it, MGM would benefit from a chsaracter meal.

A hero/villain/masculine themed character meal would be FUNTABULOUS!!!

Maybe the Toy Story characters will be with others from say Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, possibly Star Wars and Power Rangers...who knows. But, it did not seem positive that it would be a Toy Story only meal, just have some Toy Story characters. Either way a character meal at MGM would certainly get a lot more people over there. I didn't realize it took so long to plan, years and years I guess.

Hi everyone - I just made some ADR's and had the greatest person on the line from Disney Dining. When we were through, I asked her about the possibility/rumor of a MGM Character Meal and she CONFIRMED that it is Buzz Lightyear but she didn't know when.... something about his wingspan being so huge and they had to make sure the restaurant could accomodate him!!!



She said to definitely keep checking www.disneyworld.com for updates. If you click on Dining Finder and then select "MGM" and "Character Dining" from both of the drop down menus, it will appear once its available!
