I saw a picture of little characters that the mousekeepers sometimes turn your towels into. Do they do it at all resorts or just some? We are staying at the POFQ 12/18-12/23. My kids would love seeing those towels.

We got two our last time at POFQ. We tipped each day and got two on only two days. My friend just got back and they didn't tip and got two. I think POFQ has mousekeepers who do that just for the magic, more so than some of the other resorts. Don't tip just to get the animal...tip if you really want to praise the service....it may just be that your MK doesn't do them.

Towel animals are just part of the Disney magic that may occur during your trip -- but it's never guaranteed. Some mousekeepers know how to make these creations, while others do not. Some have animals pre-made while others will do animals as they clean the room. Leaving a tip doesn't guarantee you will get a towel animal because the mousekeeper may be one who doesn't know how to make them. Hopefully, you will experience this little bit of Disney magic during your trip.

When we stayed there we got them, although like many have already said it depends on mousekeeping. You can't guarantee they will do it, but maybe if you leave a tip it might help.

We Stayed At Por For A Week In October 05 And Never Once Did We Get A Towel Animal - It Didn't Matter To Us - We Were Content Just Getting clean Towels!!!

That's funny because we were there the 1st week of Oct and got one everyday. I guess it really depends on your mousekeeper. Ours was Sandy and she was awesome.

our mousekeeper probably didn't like us because we are kinda messy on vacation!

We have gone on week long stays every year for the past three years at different resorts. We have tipped Mousekeeping every day of our stays and have never once gotten a "towel animal". I agree that it probably all depends on whether your mousekeeper is able to make them or not. On our latest trip to POR in September, it was obvious our mousekeeper couldn't make the animals, but she did some other really cute things with the kids' stuffed animals. She made a bed for DD's Mickey and Minnie with a towel by just winding it into a circle and placing it on the ac unit facing out with the curtain open. Another day she piled all the kid's character plushies on the bed and put the remote in Mickey's hand. She then turned on Toon Disney as if they were all watching TV while we were out. It was really cute. So tip if you are so inclined, but don't expect them so you won't be disappointed. :flower:
