Towel animals at GF

Anyone ever gotten towel animals at the GF, or more specifically in Sugar Loaf concierge?

I've never seen this before, but know that my kids would get a real kick out of it!

I know when Samantha Ryan was doing the segment on the Travel Channel for GF there were towel animals to show...not sure what building she was in but it had an Alice in Wonderland theme.

I never had them during my 3 stays at GF. However, last week I was at a referb room at Coronado which was like new and the maid did animals there. I would ask!

Keep in mind that making towel animals depends on the housekeeper you have. It is not part of Disney's regular service. Housekeepers do them based on their ability and willingness along with if they have the time. Towel animals should never be expected and I do not think requesting them will matter. If your housekeeper does not know how to make them or does not have the time you will not get them. We view towel animals as a little extra Disney magic when they happen. If they are their when we get back to our room great. If not no big deal.

Thanks for the input, I wasn't expecting them, nor was I intending to request them, but I just wanted to know if it was something that was ever done at the GF. If I never saw a towel animal it would be no big deal, but it's nice to know that you can hope.

I have never had towel animals at GF - but I have at other resorts (CR & CBR)

Stayed at GF twice, once concierge, once non, never had a towel animal. In fact only place I ever had one at WDW was AKL. And that was only once.

No towel animals in our 4 visits (2 with DD 15 mos and 2 1/4 yo)

We have had towel animals at WL, CS, and POFQ.

We stayed at GF/SL for 6 nights and did not have any towel animals - but no biggie.

When we stayed at the BC yrs before, we had towel animals. Cute touch but lots of clean towels on a daily basis mean much more to me.

We stayed at GF concierge the last week in June, and didn't get them there, but did get them at All Star Music last December.

Just got back from CBR and WL, Plenty of animals at both locations, use the Mouse keeping envelopes and write a nice note on them requesting them.

During our stays, both concierge & non-concierge, sometimes we have gotten the towel animals & sometimes we have not....like someone else has said, I think it has to do with the skills [& time]of your particular housekeeper...I suppose you could ask for them, but I would personally not make such a request, plus they're so much more fun when you are surprised with them....Hope this helps.

My husband and son stayed at the GF for the first time last year in the main building concierge (got a huge discount with the annual pass) I believe our maids name was Maria not sure. The room was extremely clean when we checked in and I immediately put a tip in an envelope for her for the next morning. When we returned mid day from a park there were two washcloths made into animal shapes with stick on eyes and all. My 10 year old son was so excited he wrote her a note and asked if he could bring them home. She wrote back that he could. It was really cool.

Finally, someone who has seen a towel animal at GF! I, too, am hoping to see some next month when I go.

Correction from me-I was looking thru our pictures from our GF June stay and we did get towel animals!! They put them with her toys.
