Knott’s the week before Christmas

I’m planning to go to Knott’s on Wednesday, December 17th and I’m wondering how crowded I should expect it to be and if it’s worth the extra $90 to get fast lane. I’ve never been in December before but I know that when I went the week after New Years in 2022 it wasn’t too bad. I’m guessing it would be more crowded the week before Christmas but hopefully not too insane yet since kids will still be in school?

I only have one experience at that time of year pre lockdown (Tuesday week before Christmas) but it was a ghost town then. Interested what others with more recent experience say.

I think most local schools are still in session, so it shouldn’t be too crazy. I would get there before opening and do the rides with the longest lines early, as I’d imagine it will get busy later in the day.

Also note that Knotts frequently has a much reduced entertainment schedule on weekdays that are not school breaks, so if seeing the holiday shows is importantly to you, check on the schedule in advance.

My daughter went with friends midweek this week as they had a random day off school (conferences) and there were very minimal lines, but none of the Spooky farm shows were happening midweek.
