Touring Plans Room Request

I have a TP subscription. We will be staying at the Polynesian, in a standard room. I know you can use the Option available on the TP website to have your request for a specific room faxed in. I don’t have my heart set on a specific room - or even a building - but we would prefer a 3rd floor or 1st floor room that does NOT face the monorail. Can I use touring plans to request that?

Sure can, but I think you do have to select a room to start. Underneath the box that specifies that you'd like something with these particular specifications (a series of room#s is mentioned, then a directional view like NE, 3rd floor, things like that), the box mentioning the rooms and direction, is a second box that says additional requests. That's where you put in your specific preferences. As always, remember, this is not a guarantee, only a request. Good luck!

I've found it's best to avoid negative requests (such as "Not facing the monorail") as it's too easy for the assigners to miss the "not".

With touring plans, you can see a layout of the resort, and pick a room based on what you want. Sometimes we have gotten the exact room, sometimes something close to it. Other times, not even close. We figure, it doesn't hurt to submit our request.
