Top Ten contest....what do you think?????

In the latest Vacation Magic there was an entry form to the "What's your Top Ten" contest. You have to list your top ten things that you enjoy most about DVC, to be eligible.

Eligible for what? A prize? It doesn't say!

It explains in great detail how to enter, but I'll be darned if I can find what the winner gets.

Has anyone else got a clue?

No clue! I searched for it too! Now I figure the "prize" must be that you might get your idea used in print for DVC advertising?? Anyone know?

I got my copy of the vacation magic and the application for the Top Ten contest. However, since they are calling it a contest, I am assuming there is a prize to the winner......but, I can't seem to find where it says what the prize is????? Am I missing the fine print????? Or should I not assume????

Sounds like the lucky winner will be able to have her/his thoughts and ideas portrayed in any type of media advertisement that DVC decides is appropriate. I too kept searching the paragraphs that outlined all the rights you are signing away for something saying what the entrant to the contest gets as a prize - nothing is mentioned. It sounded like a fun thing to do until I read all the legal mumbo jumbo.

I thought it would be great seeing as how none of us have any idea what the heck we win for the "top ten contest"....I can honestly say I read the thing cover to cover.....I thought we all should take the time to suggest our own prizes???????


First place- spend a day with michael eisner...helping him count his money...(in increments of 10's and 50's of course)

second place- dress up like goofy for the day....(must work 12 hour shift....staff shortages ya know)

third place- someone will actually let you in on the secret as to where the ice machine is at the boardwalk.

any other suggestions????

I kept looking for the prize also. Maybe it's just the honor of being used in Disney promotions. However, I'd take an open-ended fast pass for my length of stay.

I'm not entering any more contests!!! I sent some great photos in for the last photo contest. (I think the prize was a hopper pass) None were selected. When I got my new membership guidebook & every time I get a new VM, I spent all of my time looking at other people's pictures. I only know who the "Super Hoopers" are because there was a photo.

Let's say we all send in our Top Ten Contest Entries and include as one of the items, Pool Hopping at SAB! Seriously. I am going to put it on my list with pictures of the family there.

I know they want to use our enties for promotional purposes as testimonials.

I figure they will either throw my contest entry out or us it for a promotion at BCV. Either way, they need to know I really enjoy this perk and I hope they continue it.

At least the photo contest had prizes. I think their philosophy now is that if people will still enter these "contest" without any prizes, why give any? I think they had an earlier one asking for us to write about our favorite DVC experience, but no prize. I thought to myself, well if we provide the content for free, they don't have to pay anyone to be on the staff.
