So glad Chelsea had fun in Texas; that was so funny how she acted in the airport! :lmao: Loved her reaction to Bo! :lovestruc

Yay for single digits and on-line check-in being done! I'm with Connor on the Christmas Eve feeling! :thumbsup2

Phew on getting the Teppan ressie for Charles! :woohoo:

Your first day plans sound great; can't wait to hear if everything goes according to plan!

Ohh you're going to have soo much fun! That food looks yummy! YAY for it being soo close!

To answer your question. We have eaten at SCi Fi before.

The theme is very neat, reminds me of my old drive in days as a kid.
(I think they closed down our drive in sometime in the 80's :sad2:)

DD is the one who really likes it the most.
I thought the food was so-so but I love the milkshakes!

Last time we were there she got one of those glow Tink drinks.... she still talks about it. ;)

I envy your drive down, I won't even see Georgia until day 2 of driving!

Good idea to stop for fruit!
We always stop for peaches, peanuts and pecan rolls in the Carolinas. :)

I hope your room is ready.... sending :goodvibes your way!

Woot Woot!!! I week from today until you head to and arrive in Disney! I hope you have a great time!

I was just wondering if I had missed your itinerary but now I know you are going to let us know in the next few days. What I would do to be walking around Disney 1 week from today.

Finally caught up! phew!

Thanks to you, I just discovered Disney character silly bandz. And promtly ordered some on ebay.

Love the 1st day plans...can't believe you leave in a week!!! Whooo hoooo!!!:banana::banana:

Yea for 7 days!!!:cheer2: I cant believe how close it is--only 5 more for me!!:cool1:

Totally laughed about Charles' dining change---yesterday my uncle was looking through one of my Disney books and said "hmmm, these firework cruises look great--you think we can get one?" I was like, really? last minute availability??? Where was this interest 6 months ago when I asked for planning input? :lmao::lmao:

CP, I think your first day plan is PERFECT!! I love that it has a little this and a little that, and it isn't to busy. A great way to ease into a wonderful vacation. It will be a nice way to kickstart a Disney trip!

ONE week ONE week ONE week... YAY YAY YAY!!! :yay: :yay:

How fun your puzzle! Looks like a great way to pass this last week! Good luck with the packing and the anticipation! I just love that part as much as being there! :goodvibes

Oooh, not only does Charles get to experience his beloved but he gets it on the first day!! :thumbsup2

That truly looks like a lovely way to start your vacation. Are you guys excited about Captain EO? I don't know if I have told Joe about it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it!!

Are you going to let Connor do a KP mission? (or two...or ten? ;) :lmao:) Or is that after lunch while you meander around with a lovely drink in your hand? :goodvibes

Yay for single digits!!! I have been MIA from the boards while I had a short trip to Orlando and getting caught up with everything at home. We LOOOVED the MSEP!! I cannot wait till you get to see it. The fireworks were awesome too. I do not know if you like Harry Potter or not, but we went and I was very impressed with the whole area. The rest of Universal was just okay, but I really loved the Harry Potter area.

That looks and sounds fantastic.

I love the week before we leave, it just seems more real, even though we've spent months and months planning:lmao: I have always wanted to stay at CBR so I can't wait to see all your pictures of it. Next summer we are staying with my sis and her family at AKL for 2 weeks and then Jasmine and I will hopefully stay on another week and I would love to stay at CBR....here's hoping:woohoo:

Three weeks at Disney??? That would be awesome!!!

hey jackie! so sorry I've been MIA but i'm back and I'm sooo excited for you!! ONE WEEK!!!!!!! woohoo!! Love your plans for Day 1! Can't wait to see your pics from CBR!! Can't wait to hear more! alrighty, going back to catch up on what I've missed!

alrighty caught up! I'm so sad I missed the big reveal but loved it! You did such a great job!! So cute!

Thanks! Yes, I am looking forward to our stay at CBR -- hopefully, we won't be miles away from the main pool, but we will have our car, so we can always drive over to Port Royal!

Yay for one week!!!!
Sounds like the perfect arrival day

Hopefully, it will end up being just like I envision. :goodvibes

7 Days 7 Days Jackie and Family are going to Disney in 7Days!!!

Hope we get a picture of the final product of the puzzle!!!!!!! I love puzzles maybe I should get one for while we're in the extended stay...not sure where I would put it together though LOL!

We worked on it last night -- I should take a picture every day to show how it is progressing.

Whooo...Fresh fruit stand...you can get some great fruit and some great deals!!! YUMMY!!

Very true! I love that one because there are palm trees and trees dripping with Spanish moss. It's so pretty.

CBR...YAY!! I am sending pixie dust that your room is ready for you!!!!

Love your plans for the first day!!! CAPTAIN EO!!! I laugh just listening to the recording...I imagine its so much more fun to watch it...you'll have to give me a review LOL!!!!

I will gladly review Captain EO for you!

Love that picture of Viking Connor!!! Get those trolls!!!!

He looks so fierce. LOL!

Hmmmm...dinner at Teppan Edo...looks wonderful!!!

I am looking forward to the shrimp and noodles.

Looks good to me! :thumbsup2 I so wish I could see Captain EO! I wonder how long they'll run it for

I didn't even realize it was a George Lucas production until yesterday.

Your arrival day sounds great. A little park time to get you started is great. :) I really, really want to see your CBR photos since that's where we are staying next time. Did you get a standard or preferred location?

Thanks! We went with a standard room -- I always have a hard time justifying the more expensive room locations. Hopefully, we won't be miles away from the pool and food court.

Sounds like a super first day. I've been looking at some pictures of the Taste of Africa on the DIS blog and the MouseSteps pages... it looks awesome!! Hope you will get to experience it!

I am definitely planning on trying the Taste of Africa. It looks so neat!

One week!!!! So exciting!!!

What a perfect arrival day itinerary! How long does it usually take you guys to drive down?

Thanks! It usually takes us about seven-and-a-half to eight hours to do the drive.

:thumbsup2 I'll have to check my dad's schedule and based on your itinerary, we can come up with something. I'll PM you my number. Wow! 7 days!!! I was this close - to doing Captain EO the other day but we decided against it.

Yes, we will definitely have to see if there is someplace we can meet.

I love how you have your stops along the way planned out. :lmao: I laugh because I understand!!!

I am so OCD -- on the directions for the drive, I even have the exit numbers for my favorite gas stations. LOL!

I am glad to hear a good report of your Harry Potter experience. I have heard so many negative reviews of the crowds and it being so unorganized that I was a little worried for any DIS friends headed that way.

CP, I told Jill before we left that we needed to do a Kim Possible mission the first time we entered Epcot or we would end up not getting around to it at all.

We ended up not getting around to it at all. :sad2:

What is wrong with us???

We will get to do one eventually! At least I hope we do before they decide to take them out.

I love pick a pearl! I wear the ring I made on our 2009 trip every day :goodvibes

Your arrival day itinerary sounds awesome. I can't believe you are going to be there in one week!

We have Cinderella coaches for the pearls, so I can't wait to do that!

1 week! I love your "one week from today..." I think it's great that you get to eat at Teppan Edo the very first night! What a great kickoff for Charles.

Yes, Teppan Edo is usually our last night tradition, but this year, it will be our first night dinner.

One week! Eeek! How exciting :goodvibes

Although, I do find one problem with your trip approaching so quickly... no updates for a week! :rotfl: Promise to hurry back. ;)

:lmao: I am sure I will be back before I am ready. ;)

This trip, he looked invisible. ;)

Sigh. I hope he comes back in the next week.

Just peeking in to catch up on the pre-trip excitement. We had a great trip, but are, of course, exhausted. I have done two loads of clothes and have put some things away. I hauled a huge load of food for camp from church to home this morning and was glad to have help waiting for me at home to bring it in. I straightened the kitchen and checked my e-mail and bank statement. Now I get to chill out and catch up on what has been happening with my DIS buddies.

Coming back and having to catch up on real-life is always a chore. :sad2:

It was very hot the last few days, but the first week there were clouds in the sky to give some relief from the sun, so it wasn't so bad. I hope you guys will have the gift of a cloudy sky, too. :) You can put the pool to good use when it gets unbearable. :cool2:

I do hope we are blessed with cloudy skies (but no rain) and a breeze. It would make Charles so much more bearable. ;)

Sorry I missed the 8 days out (we were camping). So I'll just skip to 7 days:

I'm so excited for you! Your first day sounds really great! How long a drive is it for you?

Thanks! It's about an eight hour drive depending on how many stops we have to make. How was camping?

your arrival day looks perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a fun plan.

7 days!

Thanks, Cynthia! I am so looking forward to being there!

Only one week?!? Yay!!!

Your first day sounds wonderful!

Yep, only one week! Hurray!

Your arrival day sounds fantastic!!! :thumbsup2 I think we're going to check out Caption EO too...........I remember seeing it as a child!

ONE WEEK!!! :banana::woohoo::yay::banana::woohoo::yay:

I hope BO is back for your trip! :goodvibes

I know we must have seen Captain EO when I was younger, but I don't really remember any of it except for bits and pieces of the end. I think both my kids will really like it.

So glad Chelsea had fun in Texas; that was so funny how she acted in the airport! :lmao: Loved her reaction to Bo! :lovestruc

I never would have guessed that Chelsea would act like that. LOL!

Yay for single digits and on-line check-in being done! I'm with Connor on the Christmas Eve feeling! :thumbsup2

Oh, I definitely feel like Disney Eve is just as exciting as Christmas Eve!

Phew on getting the Teppan ressie for Charles! :woohoo:

Your first day plans sound great; can't wait to hear if everything goes according to plan!

I was very surprised I was able to get one!

Ohh you're going to have soo much fun! That food looks yummy! YAY for it being soo close!

Thanks! I can't wait to be there! Just six more days!

To answer your question. We have eaten at SCi Fi before.

DD is the one who really likes it the most.
I thought the food was so-so but I love the milkshakes!

Last time we were there she got one of those glow Tink drinks.... she still talks about it.

I remember going to a drive-in only once as a kid. I must have been about five or six. Milkshakes are always good! I am hoping to get one at Primetime.

I envy your drive down, I won't even see Georgia until day 2 of driving!

How many days will it take you to drive down?

Good idea to stop for fruit!
We always stop for peaches, peanuts and pecan rolls in the Carolinas.

I hope your room is ready.... sending :goodvibes your way!

Pecan rolls are so good! Do you get the famous Stuckey ones?

Woot Woot!!! I week from today until you head to and arrive in Disney! I hope you have a great time!

I was just wondering if I had missed your itinerary but now I know you are going to let us know in the next few days. What I would do to be walking around Disney 1 week from today.

Thanks! Yes, I figured this would be a great time to put in the itinerary as I eagerly wait for the trip to get here. :goodvibes

Finally caught up! phew!

Thanks to you, I just discovered Disney character silly bandz. And promtly ordered some on ebay.

Love the 1st day plans...can't believe you leave in a week!!! Whooo hoooo!!!

Aren't the Disney character bandz adorable??? The kids love theirs. Which reminds me, I was going to ask them if they wanted to take them down to Disney...

Your day one plans look great!!

Only one week to go!!

Thanks! Yes, we are ready for this week to speed by!

7 days!!

WOO HOO!!

I'm so excited for you!!!

Plans sound great for arrival day. :thumbsup2

Well, I did have a master planner helping me with all my park plans! ;)

Yea for 7 days!!!:cheer2: I cant believe how close it is--only 5 more for me!!:cool1:

Are we going to cross paths at all? We are at Epcot the first two days, AK the 20th, MK the 21st, DHS the 22nd, and MK the morning of the 23rd.

 They just don't understand. :sad2:

CP, I think your first day plan is PERFECT!! I love that it has a little this and a little that, and it isn't to busy. A great way to ease into a wonderful vacation. It will be a nice way to kickstart a Disney trip!

Thanks! I am really kind of planning on being pretty laidback this trip. I don't want to plan too much and not leave any room for being spontaneous. :goodvibes

ONE week ONE week ONE week... YAY YAY YAY!!! :yay: :yay:

Six days now!

How fun your puzzle! Looks like a great way to pass this last week! Good luck with the packing and the anticipation! I just love that part as much as being there! :goodvibes

I started packing yesterday. I have this super detailed to-do list broken down by days that I am hoping keeps me on track. ;)

The puzzle is keeping us amused. It's one of Mickey through the ages -- I should take a picture of it.

Oooh, not only does Charles get to experience his beloved but he gets it on the first day!! :thumbsup2

He's very lucky, isn't he? ;)

That truly looks like a lovely way to start your vacation. Are you guys excited about Captain EO? I don't know if I have told Joe about it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it!!

I can't wait for the kids to see it. I didn't realize until yesterday that George Lucas produced it and Francis Ford Coppola directed it.

Are you going to let Connor do a KP mission? (or two...or ten? ;) :lmao:) Or is that after lunch while you meander around with a lovely drink in your hand? :goodvibes

That's for our second day at Epcot. :thumbsup2

Welcome back! I am so excited about MSEP! Glad you liked it! Was the HP part of the park super busy? I know Connor would like to go someday.

I am glad to hear a good report of your Harry Potter experience. I have heard so many negative reviews of the crowds and it being so unorganized that I was a little worried for any DIS friends headed that way.

I have heard that, too, which made convincing Connor to wait until the crowds die down to go so much easier. He hates crowds as much as the rest of us.

:rotfl: I might have put it off, too! ;)

October would be the perfect time to do a Kim Possible Mission! :thumbsup2

One week from today, we will be waking up for our first full day at Disney!

After a quick breakfast in the room, we will head back to Epcot.

Wonderful!

Any day that involves Soarin' and Spaceship Earth is bound to be a good one! And topping it off with a lovely dinner at Le Cellier! YUM. :goodvibes

Mmmmmm....Le Cellier. Is this the first time you are eating here? I think it is if I remember correctly.

Soarin', Spaceship Earth & Steak. Can't beat that Disney day. :thumbsup2

Sounds like an excellent 2nd day!

Sum of All Thrills looks like a lot of fun, I look forward to your review and the kids reactions!

The crowds later in the day were bad, but if you got there right at opening,it was not bad. We took advantage of staying at a Universal hotel and getting in an hour early. It was so dead that the workers were trying to get us to ride the Hippogriff. I loooooved the FJ. We walked on and then my nephew rode it with my husband again and walked on. They also walked on to the Dueling Dragons. I felt it was very organized. I went to Olivanders and there was an organized line that went quickly. It was a great show. We also ate at the Three Broomsticks that night when it was crowded and really it was so organized we did not have a problem at all. I really loved the little details, like the moving pictures in the castle, the Marauders map in Filch's emporium. It was great. I am a Disney fanatic and I really would love to go back just to WWOHP. The rest of Universal is another story. I think every ride had three required elements: motion simulator, water, and fire. If you go, you will know what I mean. We were laughing at the end because I felt like I got spritzed with water on everything.:rotfl2:
