Top Chef - Warning May Contain Spoilers - Read only if you want to who was voted off

Morimoto. I would definitely love to try his restaurant. He is amazing!

It is very good. We've eaten at Morimoto in Chicago a quite a few times. We always get the Omakase menu and its wonderful. First time we did Omakase $125, which was amazing, and then we did an off-menu Omakase $150 which was just unspeakable to how good! The master chef actually came to us, opened the salt crust of the sweet fish, then cut our sweet fish for us. I mean, it was the master chef. I have yet to see Morimoto there, but the rest of their chef's are really talented!

Ah, Turkeygurl. Thanks for the clarification. Professional photographer would explain the studied nature of the photo. That's nice.

Syracuse! I'm an SU grad! The description of Morimoto's sounds divine! Thanks!

You cannot go wrong with one of Morimoto's restaurants - I think the reason we see him so much in Philadelphia is that, at the time, it was his newest, and it's only a hop, skip, and a jump from NYC, so he cover twice the territory.

As for ordering off the menu - that's one of the delights of dining at the sushi bar - all that chef interaction and sitting with costumers who dine there often - can get you priceless information and incredible samples.

Although, I do watch this show it's getting harder and harder to do so. It seems that it truly is a "show" with very little resemblance to "reality."

Last night's episode is a good case in point. Over 90% of the viewers wanted one person off, and that was not the person chosen. However, wanting that person off is most likely a result of the way the person is "made to look" instead of the way that person "actually is."

Personalities aside, plain and simple we didn't taste the food. Undercooked beans were the bigger of the errors in the judges minds. Not just saying that because I am in the minority. The judging on TC has always been based on that challenge. She screwed up, plain and simple. Anyone who has ever eaten undercooked beans knows just how bad they are. Also remember Nikki said loud and clear that Antonia was off her game. And Antonia herself alluded to the fact she didn't prepare and was tired becuase she was too busy opening a new place. Based on the challenge as we saw it, I think the right decison was made.

The show to watch with Gordon is "Ramey's Kitchen Nightmares." the most awesome reality show on cable - he takes a restaurant that is about to go belly up and whips everyone and everything, including the food - which he takes local, simple, and clean - into shape in one week. Of course, one of the major reasons I LOVE it is because I do what he does with congregations, only without the food (damn) and in 18 months ... sigh!

I love BBC America :lovestruc almost every show.
And their news is better too - more balanced.
But I really love How Clean is Your House.
:worship: Go Kim!

Ugh, I hate undercooked beans! I had them once at Spoodle's. Not impressed. I do understand your point of view, I'm just not sure I agree with it! :teeth:

Just watched last night's Top Chef. I can't believe Antonia was cut. Lisa is such a bad attittude.... I don't like her.

Did you see the episode with all the birds?

OMG!
Yes ... and YUCK!

But then there are so many that you're like-
"no one could live like that".

It's like watching a car wreck.
It's horrible - but you just can't look away.

OK, I just caught up with this episode and as much as I hate to admit it - it looks like the judges made the right decision. They're right - there's no such thing as "al dente" beans - there's undercooked, overcooked, or just right (think Goldilocks, I guess).

Still, did anyone catch Lisa's whiny, "Why aren't you congratulating me?" comment to Richard and Steph at the end? Heck, they were mourning a good friend and a good chef. I'm sorry, you can't make this stuff up with editing - it's not like they can put words in her mouth, cross her arms, and place a perpetual scowl.

Only a quick response, at Gay Days and getting ready for dinner at California Grill.

Sorry, but Richard and Stepanie are sore sports. I don't care, manners NEVER go out of fashion. They should have congratulated her, period. Again, not becuase I am a fan of Lisa's, but becuase it is is good sportsmanship. Granted cooking isn't a sport, but it has been made into a contest. I have had to shake more hands and congratulate more people in my lifetime then I cared too, whether in sports, business or personal. BUt I rose the occasion and did it. I didn't sit there and sulk becuase the person I wanted to win didn't. Shame on both Richard and Stepanie.

I'll agree that Richard and Stephanie should have been more adult about it.

BUT, Lisa should have risen above it and not show that it bothered her. Oh, wait, EVERYTHING bothers Lisa. It's all about how she can negatively react to each situation. The permanent scowl, the constant complaining, ugh! Enough already.

It's the FIRST time Richard and Stephanie have acted anything less that totally professionally. It's not the first time Lisa has behaved like a spoiled child. To me, that's the reason why Richard and Stephanie didn't act like they were happy she's in the final three. Because they're not, and they're so tired of her negativity, that they don't care if she knows it.

Again, just my opionion, based on what I've seen of the show. I'm sure it's all edited within an inch of it's life, but I can only judge on what I've seen.

Totally agree

The only thing I can say in Lisa's defense is that she's young - she'll grow, mature, and learn. She's the only one who can manage her own emotional life - it's not anyone else's job.

I've seen teenager behave better then she does.

We are down to the freakin' final judges table and a storm just blocked my Directv signal!

Please somebody PM me with the results!

Lindy, you still there?

Stephanie won it all!!

I'm very happy for her.

Kind of sad for Richard though. He seemed to be beating himself up over it.

Stephanie won? HUURRRRRRAAAAH!!!!!! Thanks! I'm out of town and didn't see it.
