Top Chef All Stars starts 12/1/10! No ADVANCE Spoilers!

Just finished watching it. So happy the one person went home, a little disappointed about the other.

Marcel hasn't really bothered me until tonight (I didn't watch his season so I don't know how he was before), he was such a jerk though when the winner came in.

Yes, I was extremely happy for the winner :dance3: and Marcel had to rain on that person's parade, instead of thinking outside of himself for a second and being happy for that person.

I am also happy the one person went home. I figured the second person would probably go home considering the winner also cooked the same fish and knew how to prep it correctly.

I love the prize the winner got. :thumbsup2

I knew his true colors would be out sooner, rather than later. He is a horses rear end and a self-centered punk. Didn't like him one bit his frist go around, don't like him any better this time around. And his smirk - just makes me want to go up and smack the living crap outta him.

Yeah ... he was a little immature but I could understand that he wasn't that excited to go in front of the judges table knowing he had a good chance of going home.

I hated Marcel in his season of regular Top Chef! He was a rear end. I think the people who went home were the right choices but I do not like double elimination. Is there a spoiler thread somewhere? I want to talk about the show openly, lol!

He acted like it was the first time he'd ever been in the bottom. What a baby!! If he EVER wins another task, I hope no one congratulates him. He's a pain. Glad they are finally editing him in his true colors.

It's my opinion that once the show is initially broadcast we should be able to talk openly about who won and who was eliminated. So, feel free to name names on last night's show!

Yeah, Marcel can go next - just for that remark. I wouldn't have minded if he'd been one of the two eliminated this week.

C'mon. Except on the rare occasions like last week (out of ten seasons, if you count the two Masters seasons) when they call in the losing Chefs first, one or more of the Cheftestants in the stew room when the winner comes in will be eliminated. NEVER heard anyone with Marcel's attitude, until this week's episode. Many may have thought it, but just when ya thought he was growing up...

"No spoilers" JUST means don't reveal any advance information. Once the show airs, it's expected that people who haven't had a chance to watch it will stay away from the thread until, well, they've seen the episode.

Blast away!!!!

With as much air time as Marcell was getting last night, I thought he would be the one eliminated.

I'm not sad about Tiffany leaving... I like the other Tiffany better anyway. I'm :banana::banana: about Jamie finally going home.

Also, why have a team challenge if 1. you don't want them to make one collaborative dish and 2. you believe that the best dish was made by a chef on a losing team? Even if they work as a team, the judges should judge them individually. While I'm certainly not sad that Carla won :yay: it would have been more fair to put her dish up against Antonia's if they were both the best ones prepared. It's not like Antonia got to choose her teammates.

I was so happy for Carla, and glad that Jaimie was finally sent packing. It's about time.

Marcel was a little punk on his regular season and nothing has changed.

As a Jamie fan, I was a little sad to see her go, but I'm also not blind enough to see that she had no enthusiasm for the competition.

She started at a new Restaurant in July, 2010, and, since they had a US Open challenge on Top Chef I'm assuming they were filming in September, 2010. I'm certain she was thinking more about the new menu and job, than about the competition.

For whatever reason, I'm upset that she wasn't cooking to her abilities.

Moving forward, though, I knew Marcel's true colors would come out eventually. Had Elia stuck around, I think we would have seen his immaturity a few weeks ago.

How can anyone give spoilers before the show has aired. I thought no spoilers meant just that. Why spoil it for those that have not seen it yet. Makes no sence, the show just aired last night. L&G's Dad.

Since the show was filmed months ago, some people know who the finalists are and maybe even the winner. That kind of information is readily available on many "spoiler" sites. Some people like knowing that information ... while others enjoy watching the show unfold week by week. On some very popular show (like Survivor) there will be a non-spoiler thread and a spoiler thread so the folks who already know the final 4 can chat among themselves.

How MANY weeks/seasons has Marcel done this show? He acted like he really didn't know that when the winning team comes back, there is a moment if congratulating the winner, and then YES, that means the people sitting are in the losing category. :sad2:

Someone needs to show hint the definition of "graceful loser."

Carla was so thrilled and happy to win and win the trip to Amsterdam. Marcel should have just kept his yap shut.

When they showed Tre's family, I thought he might get the boot. They've done that in the past, where they show who the loser will be going home to as a consolation.

I kind of had a feeling that when Fabio's team made a group dish, that they might not be able to get eliminated. It really is hard to assign blame on a group effort. While they could have gotten rid of Richard & Marcel, I thought it was highly unlikely.

And while Fabio was only the "knife man," and didn't add much to the conception of the dish, what he contributed was important.

If they were going to eliminate him for not contributiong, then they should have been able to eliminate Jamie earlier for not contributing TWO whole dishes.

Also, this time, I can see why Antonia was crying. This is a competition. She wants Jamie to go home. She shouldn't be forced to help Jamie with the taste of her dish. That's usually AntoniO's role. :p Why HELP another chef be saved from elimination?

If all Jamie can do is cook scallops, and she can't tell by the taste & texture of her own food that it's bland & watery, she deserved to go.

Or, for example, a couple of seasons ago, TVGuide had two blurbs about an upcoming episode of Top Chef. One listed the four Cheftestants we all knew were going into that semi-final episode; but the actual listing for the show named the three finalists.

So while I knew (not by choice) who the final three would be, I knew not to post it AND to warn everyone in that thread not to read TV Guide that week ;)

I think Tom did say that, had she not had a hand in the other dish(es) from her team, she could have won. Maybe if she wouldn't have even helped Jamie or Tiffany with their dishes, they would have split her away from her team. But not helping your teammates goes against the Team Challenge concept. :confused3

Yeesh - anyone have a comment about Richard's face? I would have hated it, but he really could have gone home. Didn't Padma say the foam was the absolute worst thing out of all of the dishes?

I thought The Bachelor was the only reality TV show that leaked advanced spoilers because they need the ratings so badly. :p Interesting to hear other shows do that, too.

They also said Marcel has a thing about foam, too.

I don't think she wanted to throw her teammates under the bus. If she had readily ratted them out we might be talking about what a witch she is.

I would say that all the "reality" shows have a leak somewhere. It funny, the Bachelor/ette is the only show I spoiled myself on purpose. It was too dull otherwise :lmao:.
