Top Chef All Stars starts 12/1/10! No ADVANCE Spoilers!

Jamie is annoying the heck out of me, I just want her *gone*. Has she actually cooked anything for the past few challenges?

Richard Blais just keeps getting better and better...and he also isn't afraid to say it like it is. I think it took a lot for him to show that he maybe doesn't like someone, but his feelings against Jamie are becoming pretty clear. Yay Richard!

I am just waiting for someone, anyone, to smack down Angelo, he seems to get his hand in other chef's failures just a little too much kwim?

Some of the contestants, I watch them and think 'Yeah, I'd eat food you cooked' because they seem so nice or decent...like Carla and Blais and a few others.

Mike Isabella doesn't seem like such a jerk this season, he seems to be happier and just enjoying himself.

agnes!

Fabio is just a joy to listen to!

I wondered why Brian Voltaggio wasn't back; I personally think he should have won his season, rather than his brother. Perhaps he also declined?

I was not a fan of hers the first time around either. I loved it that season when Fabio said it's Top Chef not Top Scallops, lol. They played that again last night.

Yes, what is with Jamie & scallops? she seems OCD on them. Maybe that is the ONLY thing she can cook? :confused3 Like she's Bubba Gump Scallops. :p

I love that line too......I am so glad that he put out a good dish last night. I don't think he will win this season, but I hope he goes pretty far. I didn't like him for most of his season, but he grew on me towards the end.

I was really surprised that Fabio was able to pull out a Chinese dish, when it was so out of his Italian style. More power to him! :thumbsup2

That's because he is actually cooking something and putting his work on the line, unlike Jamie. And he's good at what he does. he can stand up for himself and stand by his work.

I'm with you total on the Stefan part. He should have won his season and he should be definately be there this season.

I think they both got burnt and had no real reason or desire to come back.

Plus, if they make it all the way to the finals, that is a LOT of time to be away from their businesses. Both of them have their own restaurants. They aren't working for someone else, where they can get someone to fill in theor positions.

Think about the way Top Chef Masters, is organized. They do not have to stay throughout all the weeks of challenges. Their format takes into account that those chefs are busy, busy, chefs and owners of possibly more than one restaurant that they need to be personally there for.

Anyone else think Antonia threw Casey under a bus? I think she purposely dropped the ball on helping to prepare Casey's dishes. I think her crying was guilt about it, more than the pressure she was under to help both Jamie & Casey.

Why did Jamie need help on beans anyway? Because there were no scallops in it? :confused3

I know Fabio isn't the best chef there, but I still love him. Who wouldn't love a man who walks a turtle.

I don't think Casey knew how to prepare her dish anyway. If I remember, she came into the kitchen to check on things and they told her they were deep frying the chicken feet and she told them they should be done in the wok. Susur specifically mentioned they should be deep fried to break down the tendons and ligaments... They kept focusing on all the plates with the chicken feet still on them when service was done. I know they edit it how they want, but that was pretty clear. It was a gutsy choice to cook that, and it just didn't work out for her.

The reality is that all of these chefs are good or they wouldn't be there and most eliminations are going to be a case of a good chef having a bad day.

Jaimie always has a look on her face like she wants to hide behind a cupboard or something. even SHE knows she's skating by!

As for Angelo, maybe I;m in the minority but I LOVE him. He can cook circles around most of the folks there and I would love to see him and Blaise (my all time favorite) battle it out at the end. As for him "messing" with other people's food. They're weak. Stand up for yourself and tell him "hands off!".

Jennasis I don't know how many times I just wanted to quote you and say DITTO! You always seem to say what Im thinking... so uhm.. Ditto!

Jamie may have had her hand in 2 poorly executed dishes, but the loser had a dish that NO ONE wanted to eat. I think they made the right decision.
I don't think they did. Casey didn't even cook her dish, and in the extended judge's table, they said they liked the flavor and taste of the chicken feet, it was just the way it was cooked that made it entirely inedible.

Shocking results. I am still unclear as to why Jamie is still around? Is anyone else bothered by her this season, but was a fan of hers in her season before?

And why didn't Stefan come back? I liked him!! :)
I really liked her in New York, but I think she should've been eliminated a few times by now this season.

I didn't think of it until you mentioned it. But in her original season, she also seemed to act the same way when she was paired with Zoe in a challenge, and her refusal to do soup ended up getting Zoe eliminated.

I didn't think it was fair that Casey went home for issues that weren't her fault. I might have missed where they didn't have to do carts but her being upstairs forced someone else, who didn't have the concept to cook her food and cooking is half the battle. I think Antonia took on too much but it was really an everyman for himself more than a team thing in that kitchen. I liked Casey and hoped she would go a lot farther.

ITA!!! I have always liked Angelo- think he is very talented!!

Agree with you on this one. Last time it was like he was always trying to convince everyone he was one of the top contenders and this time he seems more laid back. I didn't like him the first time but I do like him now.

I hated this challenge. I think if you're working front of house it is completely unfair to judge your food when someone else is back there preparing it.

I think Jamie should have gone home but have to say I wouldn't have touched those chicken feet with a ten foot fork.

I agree. WHY were two chefs taken off the floor? They have waiters help them serve the food every other show.

In some ways, she shouldn't have been judged, any more than when Jamie got a pass for not being there when she got stitches.

You're supposed to use chopsticks. ;)

Just watched the show, LOVE me some Angelo!!! He looks and sounds like 3 of my ex boyfriends!! :thumbsup2 My kind of guy.

I also love Fabio but Richard is sneaking up on me, too. He seems to be so cool and has integrity.

Jamie... :confused3... what HAPPENED to her this year? She seems to have lost all of her fire!:headache:

I'm never a fan of challenges when one or more of the chefs are judged on a dish he/she didn't actually prepare....

This is not Top Front of the House;)

I agree... and I almost never cheer for the women (sorry, it is what it is) but I really, really liked Casey.

I didn't like him so much last season... but this season I do really like him.

I actually do like Angelo. I don't like him as much as I do Carla or Blais and I liked Casey too, but I think he does mean well despite having "culinary tourettes". I wonder if that will be this season's t-shirt. I still wanted "I have a culinary boner" but can't see anywhere in public or my own home I could actually wear it. :lmao:
This is my most favorite season EVER. :lovestruc

I KNOW! The Culinary Turrets was the best line! I'd wear the shirt, under something or to the gym. :)

Also, I am a big Blais fan. If he doesn't end up in the top two or win this whole thing I will be upset.

I don't think you want culinary turrets (like those on a castle) I think you are meaning Culinary Tourettes :rotfl:
