Top 5 Places you SHOULDNT eat

I am the one that makes the ADR's for our family. I would never decide were to eat based off negative or positive reviews. I try to find menus that has something for every one in our family. I love pasta(no red sauce), white meat Chicken, and salads. My husband would eat 1/2 a cow if it were put in front of him( how he maintains a 32" waist, we will never know). My youngest daughter almost a teenager eats only kid friendly food. The oldest eats anything except for mushrooms and seafood. 3 of the 4 don't like heavily spiced foods.

There a people that love certain restaurants that wood not work for our family and hate places that work well for us.

:scared1:

Ok ya'll are scaring me lol. We just made all our ADR's but now after I've read this it seems like...

The only TS place at DHS not mentioned is 50's Prime Time
The only TS place at Epcot (non World) on the DDP not mentioned is the Garden Grill
And I think we have to starve at Animal Kingdom  Oh wait, I don't think Tusker House is mentioned.

Ok I'm mostly joking, I know it's just people's opinions, but I'm a little worried now! I couldn't get in to Garden Grill or Tuskers! :rotfl:

Just please nobody tell me that the Crystal Palace is on their bad list, it's the only hope I have left! :upsidedow

I hate to break it to you, but we didn't like Crystal Palace at all. It has been a long time, & we're giving it another try for breakfast in October. So, all is not lost. ;)

Seriously, I think a lot of people's worst experiences have more to do with value than quality. It's hard for the restaurants to live up to WDW prices, when people are comparing them to their restaurants at home. They expect fine dining for the price. Only the Signature restaurants come close to that. Personally, anytime I see some of the nicer table service restaurants ranked lower than CS restaurants, I disregard the review/list.

Don't worry about your dining adventure. I'm sure you'll have a great trip. :)

Not had many bad dining experiences at WDW. The only place we would not go back to would be the CS fish and chips in Epcot. Gross, totally vile, yuck, you call this fish? It may have been cuaght from the sea but is it actually edible? I think not. Chips should be
a) hot
b) crisp
c) golden in colour
d) taste somewhere near potato
e) fluffy in the middle

Clearly the staff at this CS have not been taught this as they think chips should be cold, soggy, greasy and brown.

Just as an addition DHs favourite CS is Pecos Bill, if they have changed the burgers he will freak right out!

I agree with you. I will listen to what every one says and then we will try the restaurant and make our own decision if the menu appeals to us. We did this with Boatwright's last year--we wanted to see POR and thought we'd eat there. It got great reviews from a lot of people--unfortunately, we thought it was the worse meal we ever had at Disney. We tried Mama Melrose after reading good reviews and bad reviews, and we like it. We always try to give each establishment two chances in case they had an "off day/night" the first time we are there. We've done that with Hollywood & Vine and will now never go back. We probably won't give Boatwright's another chance (but then we don't like the resort either); we are still contemplating Brown Derby getting another chance.

Wow... I didn't think this one would make the list. Sorry to hear you had a bad meal.

But ..is it fair to compare to a 2 credit restaurant?

Maybe, you could think of it as a 1 credit diner, and 1 credit for the show?

We must have been hungry, because we thought the all-you-can-eat chicken & ribs was good eating :smickey: ...after a full day walking the parks. I enjoyed the show also, it was neat to see all the different dance styles

I am very glad you had a fun experience....as far as the show went, it was the only saving grace for me...I too enjoyed the different styles, costumes and even the corny story line (fire dancer was the best)...but when it came to the food....Not even worth one credit....ribs swimming in sauce, dry chicken, and the desert was just all the wrong combinations of sweet (chocolate cake with caramel lava and raspberry ooze...it was not what I was expecting and wish I could have had a choice).
I would have rather been at any other 2 credit meal.

PS...this was our Christmas Day Dinner so I was truly in a magical mood and not looking for anything to spoil it...maybe because it was so busy, the food sat a little too long??? Just not our night.

1.) Cap'n Jack's (DTD) - dreadful service, appalling food.
2.) ABC commisary (Studios)
3.) Rainforest cafe (DTD)
4.) Flame Tre BBQ (AK)
5.) Food court at POP

It is all opinion based anyway (except San Angel Inn -the food there is universally bad!! :lmao: )

Hee Hee, DW and I always make a point of eating at San Angel Inn and were dissapointed to have missed it this past trip.:lmao:

KONA Cafe - Dinner - Worst meal of the trip two years in a row, so it gets two votes!
Cape May Cafe - Dinner
San Angel Inn
ABC Commissary

This is easy...
1) CRT... we got ill from the food... and we didnt even eat much of it. It was inedible. Of course it is overpriced as well. The thought of it makes me gag.
2) Coral reef.. got sick here too. Service was TERRIBLE. The rudest lady ever. Food was barely edible and we all felt it all day long.
3) Rainforest cafe.. blech food, long wait, so so service and high price.
4) food court at POFQ. Terrible selection.. slow service.. bad food. Main reason we will never stay there again.
5) Turkey legs carts... any of them. YUCK. Had this jelly mass in it ( what was that?) and we smelled like smoked meat all day. DD loved it but watching her eat it made me ill after I wiped off the living pool of gel that was in it.

Crystal Palace X5

We tried it three times and it was awful all three times. Service, food, and character interaction were all poor.

-Planet Hollywood
-Rainforest Cafe
-Capn Jacks
i did change one of my adrs from le chefs because of the bad reviews!! i have to do a character meal so we've done crystal palace breakfast and lunch so now we're doing dinner!!

Les Chefs de France is our favorite non-Signature restaurant.

1. Cosmic Rays, the tables seat four and the seats are not moveable, so any family with five or six is in for an interesting time. Then they have three areas to get food... if I want chicken and my DH wants a burger, we have to stand in two loooong lines. The lines were bad as it was, then they didn't give us our whole order... TWICE! It was too loud to hear much of the alien banter. My kids don't even remember this place. The meals were HUGE though.

nothing else was bad, but we've only been there once
P.S Chefs de France was fantastic. The steak was so tender (and I had it well done), creme brulee was yummy... and escargo was actually pretty good (but I cant take the tecture). We also got in right away even though we were running late.
