Top 3 Best and Worst meals at WDW?

Top 3:

1) Shula's Steakhouse (Dolphin)- hands down, even the tea was superb!
2) Le Cellier ( can you tell we like steak?!)- soup & pretzel bread!
3) 50's Prime Time Cafe (although I didn't care for the pot roast, but appetizer and dessert were delish!)

Worst 3:
1) Garden Grill (I ate off the kids' menu it looked so bad)
2) Crystal Palace (marginal buffet at best, head straight for the desserts)
3) Sci-Fi Dine In (getting a shake is safe)

Really we don't have a third. We have very pleased with our Disney meals except for the two listed.

Top Three Dining Experiences
Jiko

Palo (Disney Cruise)

Worst Three Dining Experiences
California Grille (more than once :()
Mama Melrose's
Rose & Crown (Great view though)

Top Three:
V&A Chef's Table
V&A Dining Room
Artist Point

Worst Three:
Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner
Chef Mickey's
Ohana (worst meal ever!)

I previously replied to this thread and forgot my all time worst:

Horrible Fast food meal:

Pizza Planet
Pizza Planet and
Pizza Planet

What a dissapointment. And to think - this was my favoriate movie.

I made the mistake of adding a topping on my pizza and I waited around 20 minutes. I thought I was in the twlight zone.

Plus the food was awful and they didn't even make an attempt to try to replicate the arcade from the movie. They just threw a bunch of games in a cold, depressing enviornment. Chuck E. Cheese blows this place away.

Wow! I did not stop and count, but I think that every restaurant that showed up on someone's top 3 best, also showed up on someone else's top 3 worst! :confused3

That is pretty funny and pretty true. I noticed one exception since I came across this thread doing a search on "Spoodles" because I had no idea what people thought of it. I count it as a top 3 four times and a bottom 3 zero. I am thinking that is a good sign.

And yet, while not horrible, Spoodles (breakfast anyway) was not one of our better experiences. Mainly it just took forever....for breakfast. The meal was okay. And the pizza at their pizza window is awful.

I've discovered though that you can't count on any of the places at WDW to be consistently great or consistently awful (though I've never tried Fulton's because the reviews are always so bad!) We've never had a bad experience at Nine Dragons, which is regularly given bad ratings though. Granted its just reasonably good Chinese food...which you can get almost anywhere, for much cheaper, but as we don't have anywhere for good Chinese where I live, it does well for us. Big River Grill is almost universally hated....but the one time we got takeout from there we enjoyed it.

Some of my family's favorites are-
Ohana, Boma, California Grill, Artist Point, Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon, Kona Cafe (breakfast especially!)

A few we've been avoiding because of bad experiences-
San Angel Inn (we used to like this but last time was awful)
1900 Park Fare (this was years ago, but nothing has prompted us to return)
Sci Fi for dinner (lunch is just fine, but dinner was not worth it)

Chef Mickey's is greatly loved by my kids, but I've thought the buffet was so-so our last few times there.

3 Best WDW Meals -In no particular order - it was tough to choose

LeCellier
Brown Derby
O'Hannas

(Honorable Mention - Boma; Kona)

3 Worst Meals -

Sci-Fi Drvie In - food was awful, service not much better
Teppanaki - We had a chef with 0 personality; more costly than similar restaurants at home;
CRT - Breakfast - we have also had very good experiences here but the first time we ate there the waiter tried to make a big scene when I let DD try some of my crean cheese french toast instead of the cold/overcooked french toast sticks she had been served. I told him that if it was such a big deal I would pay the price difference between a child and adult. He also did not like that I drink diet coke instead of coffe in the morning.

I will rank our favs on basis of eating there more than once and kids as well as adults likes
Fav 3: 1900 Park Fare(bkfst) :cloud9: :hyper:
Brown Derby(lunch)
Kona(dinner)

Don't care to do again: Planet Hollywood(way to many tables in small space, food so so) :crowded:
Narcoosee(food was so so and too many uptight vacationers sucking the magic out of the trip.) :maleficen
Chef Micheys(fun for kids but food below par) :confused3

worst: Donald's Resturauntasaur and Planet Hollywood
best: mama melrose', pecos bills, and san angel inn

Ohanas the best! Character breakfast at Ohanas #2, CRT #3, Worst - Coral Reef at Epcot! Everything else was great!

Top three would be:

Crystal Palace Breakfast and Dinner
Garden Grill for dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern

Worst three would be, only two are table service, we loved most of them:

Chef Mickey, great Character interaction, so so food, way better dinner selection at Crystal Palace
Tomorrow land terrace noodle station (counter service)
Si fi dine in theater, pretty good food, we had a dull server, and the back seat of the cars don't give you much table room.

I'll answer this question in regards to dinner, not breakfast or lunch.

WORST: We don't like dried up food. Period. And here are the top 3 worst, dried up messes we've ever had, not necessarily in order: 1) Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre, 2) Spoodles 3) Big River Grille and Brewing Works

BEST: 1) Todd English's Blue Zoo 2) California Grille (best sushi I've ever had!) 3) Narcoosee's

I blew that theory, sorry. It's on my bottom three. We were so disappointed. Had been going for 10 years, and never got around to trying Spoodles. So last November we decided to do it...it smelled so good as we walked by. It was HORRIFIC. Of course, how can you mess up flatbread...that was fine. My husband's chicken dish was so dried up and he sent it back for it to be perhaps a tad better. They cooked my steak well and medium well until they got it like I ordered it...medium rare and then it had a horrible falvor.

Then, the worst part is my DH literally got sick afterwards.

We so wanted to like it, but it was probably our worst sit down meal. No, it was our worst sit down meal. The service, however, was fabulous.

Top 3:

1. Brown Derby
2. Ohana (more for atmosphere, but food good too)
3. Le Cellier (delicious French Dip sandwich)

Honorable mention goes to Whispering Canyon Cafe (I am a chili, burger, nachos kind of girl--yum I am getting hungry now :) ).

Bottom 3:

1. Chef Mickeys (rip-off)
2. Liberty Tree Tavern (bigger rip-off)
3. Kona Cafe (lackluster atmosphere and food)

OK, unless I missed it, Artist Point is not in anyones bottom three...which is good, because DH and I plan to eat there in Dec.!

So far:
Top 3:
Bakery in Norway: school bread!
Shakes and Beaches and Cream
Chef Mickeys breakfast

Worst
Hollywood and Vine
Electric Umbrella
Hollywood and Vine

This is tough, I like so many:

Best:
California Grill - excellent food, service and atmosphere
Flying Fish - as above
Ohana - food, atmosphere, service, and watching those fireworks from the restaurant!

Worst:
Victoria and Alberts - service unfriendly, tiny portions and way overpriced - the chocolate souffle i had looked forward to all night was not chocolate when it arrived!

Prime Time Cafe - bland food and little interaction from the waitress, which was disappointing as it was what we went there for.

Hoop de Doo Review - all you can eat and drink is not entirely true. We didn't get much of anything worth eating, and the servers don't have time to come round and give you more. Overpriced rubbish.

Haven't eaten in many restaurants (mostly only have time for counter service), but here's my yays and nays for both.

Best
1. Kringla Bakery (in Norway)-- good open faced sandwiches and awesome desserts; the best cheesecake I've ever eaten in my life
2. 50s Primetime (not mindblowing variety of food, but great service and atmosphere)
3. Chefs de France-- make sure you get ADRs for this one
4. Pizzafari-- really good pizza, surprisingly. And yummy breadsticks too. :goodvibes

Worst
1. Wolfgang Puck Express (worst lasagna I have ever had the misfortune of eating; ravioli was also rubbery; get thee to an Olive Garden! )
2. ABC Commissary-- there are no words. I wind up with chicken tenders/nuggets every time I'm forced to eat there because there's not much of a selection
3. Donald's Restaurantasaurus-- simply because I can get McyD's anywhere, and I'd def. prefer not to eat it on vacation.

MY BEST -- LE CELLIER---CAPE MAY BREAKFAST------ RAINFOREST CAFE MY DEFINITE WORSTS CHEF MICKEYS(horrible)--ALFREDOS(as a good critic of italian food this was the worst I ever had)------50s PRIME TIME(terrible food-fun time)
