Yes, maybe, but I got tagged for my chapstick. It was in my fanny pack and they made me put it in the baggie. Same with DD's sun stick. Fortunately they fit. I truly think it's the TSA screeners who make the final decision. DD lost a pair of toe spacers that she has to wear with her pointe shoes because they were in the carry-on and not checked... they are a gel product. Interestingly, the first time we traveled, she wore them between her toes (AND her gel toe pads... $24 a pair) when going through screening (with socks on) and they never noticed a thing! The next time, she figured OK, whatever, but got tagged for the spacers; toe pads were inside her pointe shoes and were never noticed. However, that time they also pulled a plastic jar of crushed rosin (but let it go through after investigating). The illusion of security...
