Before we left on our trip, my daughter's tooth was about to pop out at any time. So this gave me other things to add to my packing list- "Tooth Fairy" supplies.
My daughter lost her first tooth on the Disney Magic last summer. She was worried that the Tooth Fairy wouldn't find her out in the ocean. In the morning, she was very excited because the Tooth Fairy did find her and did her special thing.
Our Tooth Fairy brings a regular $1, glitter (for the window and bed, or for this time the ladder to her bunk and her bed), and leaves a coin from the last country she visited before coming to see our children. Then we have to look on a globe or map to see where the place is located and talk about it. (Can you tell I'm a teacher?) My kids love the coins the best. (I had a bunch and ask friends to save their change from their trips. After 9+ years, I have some interesting coins to select from.)
I think it was a pretty special place to loose her first tooth.
And we did tip more to housekeeping, for the minor mess, and our request not to clean up that area or change the sheets for that day.
