Just wondering what the average age of DVC owners are? I'm 47 and husband is 44 with two teenagers, 14 & 16... we are about to take the plunge as soon as we find the right resale. Did we wait too long????

I am 48 and DW is 41. We bacame DVC members in July.

Hell no! We bought we were 40 years old. Our kids are 14,16 and 22. They love Disney and don't want miss any of our WDW trips.

DH and I are both 53..almost 54 and purchased in 2006. Our 'kids' are 27 and 25. The 27 yr. old still lives at home and the 25 year old is in the Army. You're never too old to enjoy Disney! Someday, maybe we'll be taking our grandkids, but right now, it's just US!

I was 47 and husband was 44 and we had a 4 yr old when we bought our first points over 10 years ago.

We bought when I was 52 and DH was 64. That was 6 add-ons ago. If you are too old, we belong in the Guinness book!

We just bought a year ago. I'm 48 and the DH is 57. Although the kids will be coming to some vacations, we bought mainly for us!! :thumbsup2

I bought three years ago when I was 47 and my daughters were 16 and 11.

Age is relative and was not an issue with us... take the plunge! Just like the Disney commercials, you will feel like a kid again when you visit!

I was 50 and my husband 51 two years ago when we bought.
My kids are 19 and 21 now. I'm hoping to take grandchildren someday.
In the meantime, we are really enjoying "just the two of us" vacations and kid and their friends included vacations. Also planning a big extend family vacation in a few years. Also, girls only getaways.
I keep buying more points!

Deb

Definitely not too old - maybe on the young side, in fact. We purchased when the kids were teens/twenties. Now we take the kids and the grandkids! Way more fun. We had a thread years ago about our "geriatric" DVC and how old we'd be in 2042 and if we'd still be going to WDW.

We just bought last summer and we're both 58. Our DDs are 19 and 23. Our only regret is we weren't financially able to buy sooner.

Luis Gonzalez, future Hall of Fame outfielder of the Florida Marlins:
"I'm 40 now. Forty is the new 30. That's the way I look at it. I don't really look at age. Those who will be around in Spring Training will see I bring a different type of energy to the game."
That quote, earlier today at the Marlins FanFest, is referring to the excitement of starting his 20th season of competing at the highest level of his profession in the world.

Age is relative.

My wife and I are 46, and we have a 16 year old daughter. You never outgrow Disney and we love our DVC membership and planning our trip each year.

Our 3 children are 32, 28 and 26. DH and I are making 2 trips to WDW this year using our points and then we'll go again in Jan and take all 3 sons, the DDIL's and our newest member, our grandson.

DVC gets better with age. I consider it one of my most valuable possessions. You just have to watch out for that disease--addonitis.

We've just bought at SSR - I am 46 and DH is 50 - just as our kids have gone to university. We live in England and I really looking forward to visiting every year until I am 93!!
