We are planning on being at WDW, family of 4, with another family of 5 for 9 nights beginning Dec 18. We have never been to WDW during Christmas, but have been to the world many times during the summer, including July 4. My questions:

1. MVMCP: What exactly is this, how much, and is this worth the cost? Is this similar to E-ride nights? Between these two things, which is the best?

2. Any ideas on where to have Christmas dinner? I want to get the reservations in ASAP. Right now, we are leaning towards Chef Mickey's, but are very open for suggestions from these boards.

3. Historically, has it been warm enough to enjoy the pools and the waterparks? We are all at POP Century, but would love to spend a day at one of the waterparks.

4. Has anyone "dared" to travel over to IOA and Universal during this time period and was it worth it?

That is all I can think of for now. Any other advice or tips for being at the world this time of year would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

1) MVMCP is a great party. Unlike e-nights where only rides are open later you will have snow, hot chocolate, parade, free photo and great atmoshere. I believe the tickets are around $40. The park closes at 6 to guests and reopens at 7 to party ticket holders.

2) You can't make any dinner PS'S until 90 days out but LTT has a great character dinner with turkey, stuffing and the trimmings.

3) One water park might be closed for re hab while you are there. It will be hit oer miss as far is weather is concerned. When we went 2 years ago there was no way you could swim.

4) Do go over to Universal. Grinchmas is excellent and your kids will love it.

TL is usually closed at this time of year but BB is open. And we have always been able to swimm in the Nov and Dec months. We have always been lucky enough to miss the cold snaps!

1. MVMCP: What exactly is this, how much, and is this worth the cost? Is this similar to E-ride nights? Between these two things, which is the best? MVMCP is a party not just riding the rides...but based on your arrival date of Dec 18 you will miss the last party which will be held on Dec 17 (historically speaking) but if you can arrive early it's great.

2. Any ideas on where to have Christmas dinner? I want to get the reservations in ASAP. Right now, we are leaning towards Chef Mickey's, but are very open for suggestions from these boards. I love Chef Mickey's...though last year we mad our own traditional dinner in our Villa at the boardwalk....I have heard great things about LTT.

3. Historically, has it been warm enough to enjoy the pools and the waterparks? We are all at POP Century, but would love to spend a day at one of the waterparks. It all depends...last year it was very warm high 70's some days...but others were in the 50's..

4. Has anyone "dared" to travel over to IOA and Universal during this time period and was it worth it? spent 15 days at WDW last Christmas and never thougth of going...but that's us
