I have one more dinner to reserve and as of now both Tony's TS and Liberty Tree Tavern are available. Based on food quality and atmosphere which would you choose?
We will be a party of 7. 3 kids, 1 vegetarian.

We were told we may have to be split up at LTT, does anyone have experience being told that? If so, were you seated together?

Thanks!

1) I would rather do LTT than Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee.
2) At any eatery a group can be split up - you take your chances.

If you can change it to a lunch ADR, I'd do LTT. Your vegetarian will probably be happier with lunch there than dinner. Lunch is a la carte and they have yummy entrees and desserts. For those who wanted the turkey dinner, it is offered for lunch, but not all-you-can-eat.

I agree with LTT for lunch.

We were a party of 7 adults, 4 kids and were all seated together. I would try to go for an earlier lunch ressie as you are more likely to get a table together (since they jsut opened for the day).

In fact the only place we weren't all sat together was at Coral Reef.

For dinner? Neither!! :rotfl:

But maybe try for the last possible lunch at LTT since the lunch menu is different (and will have better options for the vegetarian eater).

If it HAS to be dinner, maybe check out one of the resorts on the monorail instead of the MK. (Kona, Grand Floridian Cafe, The Wave are a few that come to mind).

Yes, this. :thumbsup2 I would HIGHLY recommend LTT for lunch. So either see if you can switch your ressie to lunchtime, or go to a monorail resort for dinner. Ohana is a fun choice for a family as well!

I would never go to Tony's again as long as I live. The food was disgusting. The nastiest meal we've ever had. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about either. Ditto for the service. The only good thing was the dessert.

Liberty Tree is yummy. I would definitely recommend it. I've had lunch and dinner and both are terrific. Althou most seem to prefer lunch cause you order from the menu whereas dinner is all you can eat family style (fixed menu).

We just tried Tonys for the first time last week and we were very pleasantly surprised. I loved the atmosphere, very festive. We were seated right in front of the window and were able to watch the parade through the window which was very pretty. DH and I had the steak and it was very good, my cousin had the pork which was also tasty, and her DH had the lamb shank which he loved. All the kids ordered spaghetti and meatballs which I didn't think was so great, but they liked it. Desserts were all good ( lots of choices). The service was slow and our waitress could have been nicer, but that can happen anywhere. I'd go back again.

I also LOVED Tony's when I went for the first time this past year!

I agree completely...Tony's is the absolute worst meal I have EVER had in my 34 years on this earth!

Wouldn't go back to Tony's if it were free.'

Lousy food, lousy service and lousy handling when I showed them the human hair in my pasta.

Was at LTT last week. First time without the characters and still liked the food. Not sure how a vegetarian would fair there, though.

I have never been to LTT but we just visited Tonys this past June and enjoyed it. They have an excellent dessert menu and when we went my hubby had the lasagna and I had the steak. I really enjoyed the steak which I was surprised about because it is an italian restaurant. It wasnt the best steak of my life but it was decent. I remember my hubby enjoying his lasagna and I tasted and thought it was pretty good also. The atmosphere is also really nice because we sat in the sun room with all the windows.

Wow! Tony's is well hated! So many more negative reviews than positive, that one is off the table. I did get the ADR for LTT. I looked into The Wave at CR and it looks great. I'm thinking of switching. How long would it take us to get there from MK? I know its on the monorail, but I'm not sure of the timing.
Thanks again!

Ok, just changed to The Wave, thanks so much for the great suggestion of a monorail resort!

When I made the ADR it said I would need to give a credit card to reserve that would be charged if we canceled with 1 day. I never noticed that on any other reservations, although I guess I didn't read them all that carefully. I was never asked to enter a cc # though. When I looked into Asherkus, there was a prompt to enter my cc #. Anyone know what the deal is with this?

I really like both of these restaurants. I'm also a vegetarian and LTT is pointless if you go for dinner. I would only go there if it's for lunch. The food is really good and the atmosphere is nice.

And I don't know why Tony's gets such bad reviews. I avoided it for the longest time because of mixed reviews but I was pleasantly surprised when I went there for dinner last year. DH and I enjoyed it since we got to sit outside and people watch as we were eating. We both liked our meals.

Some restaurants do require a cc to hold your ADR and if you cancel they charge a fee. I'm not sure which one's those are however because I've gotten that message with every single ADR I've made but have never had to provide cc info.
