Hi
has anyone done this? Is it a pre see menu, and how was the viewing?
Thanks

I've never done this before, but I have eaten at Tony's Town Square before, so I feel the need to warn against it.

From Disney's website:
"Each dining package comes complete with an appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage, along with a VIP viewing voucher."

Disney also says that the meeting & viewing location is near the Main St. Flagpole.

As long as you're not going during Christmas you don't need to do the lunch package to get a good spot for the parade. We got spots at the bottom of the train station steps about 15 minutes before start time.

Me and the GF are actually doing this in 3 weeks. I e-mailed Disney asking about the menu and they said it's an open menu so you can choose any appetizer, any entree, and any dessert you wish from the menu along with a non-alcoholic beverage. Also the parade viewing from what I hear is the area by the flag pole it's roped off for everyone who purchased the dining package.

I was tempted (was on DDP anyway) when I was there in August but decided not to as the sun beams down really brightly in the flagpole area in August. Opted to grab CS takeout and got a spot on the steps outside Pecos Bill - in the shade :)

We did it on our last trip and are doing it again late January. While the food is not super fantastic, it works for us. They will give you a voucher to get into the roped off area around the flag pole. We like to be right on the curb for the parades so we can sit down and this gives you the opportunity to do that. It is the same area that used to be the fastpass area when the parade had a fastpass. Since we go in winter, the sun doesn't bother us too much.

I had the package in September and was very pleasantly surprised. I was able to order off the regular menu and chose Caesar salad, shrimp scampi and tiramisu. The salad was basic but very fresh, the scampi was a little bland (I added quite a bit of black pepper.) but had a lot more shrimp than I was expecting and they were nice sized. I really enjoyed the tiramisu. Service was friendly and attentive. I loved the reserved viewing area for the parade and it wasn't too crowded. I felt like, all around, it was a much better "package" experience than the one at Mama Melrose.
