Many years ago (pre-Katie) Mimi Rogers said Tom was sterile. His two children with Nicole were adopted. Therefore, there was a lot of suspicion about whether Tom was the biological father.
Add to that the growing/shrinking belly Katie had while pregnant, the weirdness about the birth (checked into the hospital in the dead of night, then left a few hours later), and the fact that no one saw Suri for a few months --- just made it all seem fishy.

I have never read an article in which she spoke about their marriage at all, much less his ability to procreate. In fact, not much has been said about any of his marriages, so that would lead me to believe that he has made some kind of agreement with the women to keep quiet, perhaps?
Tom Cruise is sterile. He has no biological children.
Other actresses (Scarlett Johannson being one) said she was approached on the sly by Cruise's "people" about entering into a contractual relationship with him. You can imagine what her reply to that was.
Good for Katie. I hope she's able to get Suri away from Scientology and away from Cruise. And if she needs to out Tom Cruise while doing it, all the better.
How do you know this? Are you his doctor? That is a rumour, and there are probably only a few people who actually know whether that is true or not.
It's rather sad that people assume that just because people don't have biological children, that they must be sterile.
I find it rather unsettling that people on this thread keep referring to his children with Nicole as his adopted children. Not sure why the way in which those children came into the world is relevant?
Scientology seems to be problematic, but she dated him, and then got pregnant and married him. Why? Some believe she was forced, contractual relationship, etc. All of that is rather disgusting considering that a child was brought into the world. What does that say about Katie then if in fact they entered into a contractual relationship. Not really sure I get the whole point of that either? Why would Tom Cruise need to buy a wife or have another child? I'm missing something...
No cult member can be a good parent and Scientology is as bad as the family was. L Ron hubbard was a fantasist who made a cult and people have died because of it. Including the mother of a schizophrenic son who stabbed his mother because these idiots don't believe in mental illnesses. I don't usually say this but Suri needs to be kept far away Dom Tom.
If that is the case, then why did Katie have a child with him in the first place? She is 6 years old, and Tom has had some influence on her up to this point, so it is intriguing as to why all of a sudden Katie has filed for divorce? It is good that she is taking steps to remove her daughter from potential danger (I don't know anywhere near enough about Scientology to make a qualified judgment), but what about the last 6 years?
