Does anybody know if there is a toll from the Sheraton Vistana Villages into the the WDW resort? I am wondering if there will be an extra cost each day on top of the parking fee?!? Just want to be prepared...

Also, we are driving into Florida from Tennessee a few times this year. I want to know if there is a yearly toll pass or something we can get or if it is only available to Florida residents.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

No, you shouldn't encounter any tolls. I'd take International Drive to SR 536 (World Center Drive/Epcot Center Drive). Should take about 20 minutes in normal traffic.

No toll from Vistana Villages. However driving from TN, you may hit some tolls. You can now order a SunPass mini online and have it delivered to your address. Others in here who have done this can provide some details.

It's not a "pass" per se -- the SunPass Mini is a prepaid toll sticker that affixes to your windshield (and is available to everyone, regardless of where they call home).

Great info. Thanks so much!

Will this make the process a little faster or just keep me from having to tote a bunch of change?

It will make the toll process faster, as you can just drive through the toll booths, no need to stop.

At some of the newer toll plazas everyone who does not have a toll pass needs to leave the main road, go through the plaza and then rejoin the main road. Those with the pass just can drive on at posted highway speeds and their toll is deducted automatically from the pre-paid pass.

There is 2 versions: The above mentioned Sunpass Mini, which is a sticker and can only be used in one car. It needs to be attached to the windscreen, otherwise it doesn't work and if you remove it, it is destroyed.

Then there is a more expensive transponder version which you can move between cars.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a wind screen? I have a mini van. Does that have a wind screen?

Ahhh! Thanks for clearing that up and for the cultural education as well.;)

I keep reading posts by people who are not local to the Orlando area that you can use one transponder in multiple cars. Yes, you can physically move the transponder from one car to another but you are not suposed to unless you contact the E-Pass service center.
The following is an exact reprint from the E-Pass web site.

The E-PASS Service Center MUST be notified of your new vehicle information if you move the transponder.

Anyone who actually orders a transponder gets this information.

Actually customers are informed before placing the order and that's why we have three.

go with the mini - think it is $5.95 - or you can buy it in florida - think the toll both, Publix and the reststop along the tolls - sell it.

brought 3 too - one for me - two for my brother.

the only time won't get the mini is if you are renting a car or know you are getting a new one shortly.

they are a big time savers. plus you get a discount on the tolls.

Just so I'm clear.
That's $6 for the sticker, plus a $25 deposit in prepaid tolls for a total of $31.
What would the average visitor to WDW expect to spend on tolls?
Does anyone know when the discount kicks in?

The discount kicks in immediately. Also, I think you can put as little as $10 on the sticker.

I have the sticker SunPass. I have it set up to automatically add another $20 to my credit card when my balance goes below $10.

I pull a camper, so my tolls are double, but I'm thinking it's $2.50 on the main turnpike, then $1.25 on 429S for a passenger car, you save about 75 cents if using the SunPass.

By the way, when I bought my sticker, the price of the sticker was applied toward tolls (any funds not used from the price of the sticker expired within 30 days). Any funds you add to the account never expire.

Sounds like the SunPass is a better deal than the E-Pass. Unless you use it a lot each month, the E-Pass discount doesn't kick in. I guess it's time to switch. Saving $$$$, a good reason to read the Boards.

clkelly I think I pay the regular toll for my diesel pusher MH, yet you pay double. What's up with that?

They charge by the axle. How many axles does your DP have?? If only two, then you pay no more than a passenger vehicle.

I have an extra axle when pulling the trailer, so on the main toll line, 2 axles is 2.50, each additional axle is 2.50 per axle.

On 429S, I think 2 axles is 1.25, then 50 cents for each additional axle.

Is there some way to see where the tolls are and how much along routes, say from the airport to Disney and from the "kingdom" to local WalMart/grocery stores? I am staying sorta on property (Wyndham Bonnet Creek) and am currently weighing the option of having a rental car or not.
